Hey, I bought the Stetson for head protection and it's a nice looking hat, wasn't trying to be a cowboy, haven't got the horse....yet.

Lol, I'm moving there soon and I definitely intend to purchase a cowboy hat simply because I do not want the sun on my face!!!! Not trying to be a cowboy, hey, I'm in my 70's, too old to "play cowboy", LOL. Gee, never have I heard a video laying down all the things you DON'T want newcomers to do. Sorry, but that doesn't come off very welcoming. How do you think that makes the newcomers feel? My state certainly doesn't give a list of things not to do, for newcomers.

I love Montana! I miss it so I watch these videos. I only lived there (in Great Falls) for 4 years (1964-69) but I felt like it was my home. We first came to see Glacier National Park when I was 11 and continued up to Waterton International Peace Park in Alberta, Canada, camping all the way. There’s nothing like the Rockies. We fell in love with Montana and moved there the following year. We traveled all over the state and camped in Glacier Park every summer. I miss the big sky, the high prairie, seeing herds of deer, Pronghorn antelope and hearing the bugling of the elk and the honking of the Canada geese. I don’t miss the long, long winters though! But it still feels like home. Maybe because my Dad is buried there.

We LOOK at each other when we cross on the sidewalk…with the exception of Bozeman. We also look at one another when we pass in our cars on the street.
We SLOW down!! We listen. We consider one another. It’s not that hard. Don’t screw that up!

I sincerely appreciate your videos and honesty. I am not a native, but my great grandfather was a longtime alderman for Great Falls. I feel a deep fondness for MT my great grandfather represented. It's because of him and getting to know MT through friendly locals like y’all, that my family and I have made the decision to eventually relocate to MT as our forever home.

The same courtesy should have been extended to local Washingtonians by newbies from other states recently especially as of 4-5 years ago moving here. Another Awesome video.
    (thank you 👍).
A lot of us here in Washington state have watched the same thing happen over the years.. (california crept up the i-5 corridor and ruined the whole west coast).
So now I'm trying to Sell/Leave Wash. (born and raised here),
I promise not to be like the idiots you described..
    I won't even vote..
in fact, i'd be ok if there was a "No city/county/state voting" policy for newbies (if they don't like it there they should leave.. go back/or go somewhere else).
Maybe if enough of them keep trying to pet the elk, others will think it's too dangerous to come:)

Transferred to college at MT State spring 2022 to avoid the injection in CA and I explored the state and SD. I love the small town feel of Butte Broadus Helena and I loved the college community in Bozeman. I dropped out and came back home but I will always remember the tight knit communities of the state.

I am a Texan and yes most of the drivers here are hellishly reckless.
Also as a soon to be Montanan, I do complain to friends about how many people are moving there. But I understand it. Doesn't mean I like it. But I'm of that mentality where I feel I should have been born there in 1935. Not in Scandinavia in 1998..
But it is what it is, and everywhere that's worthwhile fills up eventually. Fact of the modern world.
    I will still enjoy it

I will be honest. I’m a native Californian. 60+ years. I want out so bad. But I will not leave my kids and move somewhere else ( like my parents did ) until they move first. Two down, one to go.
Still trying to decide between Montana and Colorado. Montana has the advantage.
Wherever I move I just want an acre of land like I have now, with neighbors. No HOA to tell me what I can and can’t do and then quietly blend in.
Got a good laugh at all the parking morons.

By the way, my boyfriend wants to move there and buy land, then build everything. Is it a good idea to just buy land and do that (we're from Texas). Not trying to change anything there, just curious. My Dad lived out in the country here, it was soooo quiet..the only noise you heard was a far away train. Thank you so much for your videos. We might give y'all a call. You make complete sense...I really hope the los angeles people don't take over...they did that here in Austin, TX, our capital, which used to have so much character...1 freeway...now it's getting "bigger". It will lose it's identity soon like Seattle ,WA and now Houston. Hopefully we get there to your state before anything changes. Thanks a lot.- Malena

Sure, if you buy land, you can obviously build a house exactly how you want instead of trying to find a perfect house. You just need to make sure the zoning or covenants allow you to build what you want.

I love your videos and hope to visit Montana at some point. The majority of us here in California know the most problematic new residents in MT are from here. Unfortunately, Californians ,in their migration from this state that they voted into what it has become today, tend to californicate all the states they migrate to. WA, OR, and CO come to mind. If I were to move out of CA, which I hope I can when I retire, I would not want to californicate my new state.

If I relocated to Helena, I want a home in the town itself. Being retired, Worn plumb out, wishing to escape California Alcatraz Island has me wanting out.
I’ve traveled the Heartland states. I will not allow people to shame me just because where I came from. My meaning is, get to know me before you attack me with the common rhetoric spoken of on this video. America is divided thats a fact. Why? Big city public schools systems, H.S. Systems and colleges have produced the new age people whom you speak about. Change? Oh yah! Once the Boomers die off change will come.
Only, I wont be on this earth much longer to get heartburn over it. On another topic.
Recent Federal Legislation is coming that’ll outlaw simi-auto handguns and rifles. Green Initiatives will further increase, limit fuel and oil availability. Food shortages may very well hit America. Mr. Magoo is in charge. Miss Smily Giggles is our Nations second in command. They’re solution too all thing bad is Americans need to live with less material things, junk they’er internal combustion engines. Ride bicycles, rickshaws I suppose. Walk. Stop eating meat! The list goes on an on.
They (Gov) want to close Americans right to travel, work, produce, start a business. Younger are really scared in my opinion. Others merely wish to be oblivious to the Nations downward direction and become TH-cam sensations somehow avoiding the overall labor pool. Young generation not stepping up to learn and earn. Not too the actual numbers America needs!
America is heading into a serious crises of not enough.
Now? What was I gonna talk about??????????? 🥺
