MAN... This is the ticket I have been looking for. Thanks. Looks like this will be a project this week end. I needed one for the lathe and one for my band saw.
My wife will be excited that I have a reason to go ikea! Thanks for the great idea!! My lathe is well lit but I really need a light for my bandsaw. This is the way to go!
I made two of these but like your method better. Using the base as a template 🤦♂️why didn’t I think of that? Cause I’m not that clever. Will from now on. Thanks for posting.
Excellent! Adding this to the weekend projects.
Awesome can't wait to see what you come up with.
Thumbs up for using the caliper point to open the box. I have so done that.
Awesome deal for a really useful Lamp!
Nice & practical!!!
Awesome idea man and awesome job.
Thanks bro!

Nice tool for the shop. I have lights on my lathe but they are either not in the right place of to bright. My small magnetic light helps a lot.

Great video on the light! I like how you went about determining the placement of the holes and recesses. Some killer tips in there!
So sweet, looks awesome. Anywhere I look for a light with a magnetic base start at $ 100.00 Thank You for a great alternative. Take Care
look for sewing machine lights, you can get them for like 10 bucks with a mag base all day long, we use them on all the machines in our shop

You should make 100 of these and sell them... (with a thicker base)... I'd buy one.
Unfortunately, Ikea no longer sells this item =(
