I watched this video because I was interested in the scissor lamp build. It’s a very clever and wonderful project. But what is even better is the craftsmanship and over-the-top-quality of the video production. Fantastic video!
As intrusive as ads are, the whole point of ads is to get your attention, if even just for a second. Google is an ad company. It would be highly counter-productive for them to add a function that automatically mutes their sponsors ads.
Of course you can just block the ads withAdBlock or Ghostly or other adblockers People say you shouldnt do this because it eats into the YTers potential profits, but actually it just eats into their sponsors profits, it hurts the big man not the little man, and since its the big man thats annoying me, and the little man thats pleasing me, im totally fine with that
Very cool! Quite clever! Can never have enough lighting where you need it in the shop! Thanks for taking the time & effort to video it and share it with us!
Now I know how it is done ... I just need all the machinery. As a joke, I watched the whole video because something that seemed simple to do, was more complicated for it to work as it should. Ingenious, with details and made with wood and water pipes. I also always enjoy observing each one's ability in his trade. Good job.
Man this is much more satisfying and better than cringy satisfying videos, Measured Workshop doesn't have any excessive music, talking and their captions describe what they're doing. Keep it up :D
I love you scissor setup. I probably will build one but will mount it with cord loops at the bottom to prevent the cord from interfering with the scissors. Your videos are awesome keep up the great work.
Nice work, beautiful lamp, but in the joint system on the tube I would put the locking clamp on a free ring in the middle of the joints, in this way you can fix the height without blocking the right-left movement
There are not many projects I see that impress me as much as this one does. Something that is needed in the shop and very unique. I'm sure you will eventually add a bracket for your camera as well. Just a thought. Great job.
I made one of these from two old expanding coat racks someone threw out and some odds and ends laying around the shop. I still use it over my lathe. To be honest though, mine might be cheaper (although just as functional) yours is much more aesthetically pleasing
that came out great, but you’re going to have to modify it just a little because you can’t turn that assembly without loosing that hand nut. put that metal collar and hand nut and locate it underneath so the base can swivel on the pipe but it’s testing on the metal collar so it can swivel left and right.
That's definitely what I was thinking too! I have to figure out a way to rig it on there, but there's more than enough room to scab it on there I think.
Neat-looking lighting. A handle to move it around would have been an improvement. The wiring looks messy (should be more concealed if possible). Having said that, the wall mount pipe bracket is very cool. Classic industrial look. Thanks for sharing.
Prolly wanna add a brass or plastic sleeve around the front support's bolt, so its threads don't chew up the wood slot over time. Might also add a little smoothness to the extension travel?
I LOVED the cinematography in this video! The only critic I have is that you sometimes keep still images for about a second too long (in my opinion), like finished parts or after the pipe finished rolling onto the screen. Besides that, AWESOME video and AMAZING result!
Very satisfying video No BS, no nonsense, and no annoying music I wish i could have given you more than one "like", but i did subscribe too, hope your channel grows and grows
Если поставить шайбу с стопорным винтом на трубу снизу, чтобы она отдельно висела на трубе и вся эта конструкция свободно лежала на ней, то можно будет вращать всю конструкцию по горизонтали без необходимости ослаблять барашек
OK guys. Challenge. Take this simple design, eloquent execution and trick it out with a platform at the lamp head end to mount other attachments. As with the power loops extended component add other functional capability extensions top and bottom. Don't forget extra long bolts, eye bolts/hooks to also hang things from. Inlayed disk magnets to hang drawings on............. Pretty it up with copper, brass, acorn nuts, fender washers , springs etc. Pretty scrap-bin projects.
Good Job ! Looks very very nice ! ...too nice for installing in a workshop, its a lamp for the living room, beneath the big arm chair, to read a book ....... :-)....
No talk or long-winded narration, no obnoxiously bad royalty-free music, just straight-up build footage and assembly. Instant subscribe.

Scissor extensions are so cool. They have a compact feeling that's hard to replicate with other sliding mechanisms.
I wish TH-cam would allow TH-camrs to set their ads to silent... Had this turned up to listen to the soothing workshop sounds and OH MAN

youtube should have any Ads. not a one.
remember those days
just click and watch without any bullshit

Impossibly cool, stunningly beautiful and insanely overbuilt. God bless you.
The Ol’ outdoor driveway planer...I bet your neighbors LOVE you!
Love that your intro is just your work place in silence

You and Frank H. Are two peas in the over engineering pod and I LOVE you both. Amazing work.
I love you scissor setup. I probably will build one but will mount it with cord loops at the bottom to prevent the cord from interfering with the scissors. Your videos are awesome keep up the great work.
Beautiful design and beautiful photografy
wow, great video, the extending/contracting action looks so smooth
It’s a cool retro style lamp. Awesome
Likely the most well executed light of this type I've seen on you tube. Well done sir!
Looks great. Functional and fairly heavy duty.
Very nice video. Build explained by the well edited story without a "YO! TH-camRS" or loud clashing music....thank you!
Great videography along with an awesome project! Thanks!
beautiful range of motion, well thought out end to end
Fantastic. Exceptionally well made. very professional
great work deserves millions of likes

Can you please do a making video of smooth telescopic SCISSOR camera jib with metal pipe and bearings. Like this video...😊
Beautiful job! Beautiful machines! You looks like a doctor... a cientist! Congratulations! You are the best! Thanks from south of Brasil.
I loved how you played "Dire Dire Docks" on it at the end.
Wrong video.
That was fantastic! Thanks for showing that to us!

That's the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Truly a work of art
Very nice desing, industrial style, congratulations and thanks to share it.
I had one of those lamps over my bed as a kid, made in East Germany.
Best Germany
Excellent project 👍
What an absolutely gorgeous video - great product design, nice finishing, and what superb videography!
Very well executed design!
Great video also

Would love to adapt this to my magnification mirror.

Great project! I might have to do this and adapt it for my podcasting microphone
Bright idea. At the end, with the demo of the lamp and the extending arm, I was waiting for a bouncing beach ball - and a mini lamp ;-)
Nice ! Wonderful workmanship!
Súper job! Congratulations 👏👏👏
Your video is a pleasure to watch and the work piece is gorgeous.
Dude, you do fantastic work!

Very nice, wonderful woodwork.
Excellent project. Looks amazing
Still can't find out what`s going out on the mind of those 200 guys that gave a dislike on this MASTERPIECE...
What a nice job man!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing 👏👏👏

Awesome! It is realy cool. Thanks for video. Regards from Ukraine.
Una pieza espectacular! La edición del vídeo es igualmente impresionante, sin decir nada lo dices todo! Enhorabuena!!!
Great project!
Very good work man ship
This looks really nice, well made. nice idea👍🏼👍🏼
A very good job!
I could have used this today while staining a valet box. Great video.
Measured Quality from the Measured Workshop!
And now I’ve watched, very cool!
I LOVED the cinematography in this video! The only critic I have is that you sometimes keep still images for about a second too long (in my opinion), like finished parts or after the pipe finished rolling onto the screen. Besides that, AWESOME video and AMAZING result!

So much satisfying for ASMR lol

Hi, do ypu have the plans of this scissor lamp ? Can you share it??
