    I really related with your advice. I recently got divorced and I completely agree that one number thing to find in a man is a good character (akhlaq) and most importantly someone who fears Allah. Someone who is kind, has a forgiving heart, provides for his family/takes responsibility, and emotionally intelligent. I truly see the value of all these characteristics now and hope to find a man who possess all of these characteristic traits. Ameen. May Allah make it easy for me and make my next marriage very beautiful and peaceful by granting me such a spouse. Ameen.

    I couldn't help thinking about my dad when you mentionned kindness, forgiving and emotionnal stability qualities. It definitely makes home a more peaceful place and as a daughter I think a lot of the confidence and mental stability I have come from there. May Allah bless our parents and have mercy on them. Assalaam Alaikum,
    You are such a motivation in my life, Alhamdulilah! I have viewed a few of your videos thus far, & it has made a great impact in my life. I am now going through the iddat period with my husband, He does have a few descent qualities, But, In my opinion he lacks empathy about my concerns in our household, Which in my mind, ruins the marriage. He also exhibits sneaky behaviors which draws suspicion upon himself, which is not good & I have caught him in some lies. You are right, Good men are hard to find. I have not given up on marriage again in my life because I know with the help of Allah &through prayer, All is possible. May Allah grant us all wonderful spouses, after experiencing toxicity in our marriages & continue to bless those marriages that are peaceful, happy, & healthy.

    Someone once told me...
    Women are more powerful than men in maintaining a beautiful relationship in marriage. She told me, as long as he is faithful, is not physically abusive or has a drug addiction, he is an average good man.
    If you lower yourself to him, listen to him ... He will fall at your feet.. no matter what.

    Assalamu alaikum Nafisa appi,
    I am 23 year old Indian, studying medicine, my degree will be completed in 4 years (I'll be 26 by then) and my parents are not planning for me to get married atleast in next 6-8 years but i would like to get married early (I don't have any haram relationship, I would like to get married to someone they match me up with)
    How can i let them know I want to get married early without actually telling them this as a girl telling her parents that she wants to get married early is considered shameful here

      I absolutely understand the situation as I was in a similar state two years back. Alhamdulillāh, I am married for two years now. Remember sister, du'a is everything. I would ask Allāh subhanawata'ala to give me a spouse when it is right for me and keep me patient while I am not ready for it. Also, sister as a women, we are shy of discussing such feelings with our parents. But remember that Allāh subhanawata'ala has planned everything already. InshaaAllāh. Do you have a relative that can do this for you? Any uncle or aunt or cousin your parents value that can suggest it to them? Meanwhile just pray pray pray. Make is a reason to draw close to Allah.

    During the 'getting to know them' phase prior to marriage, how can one know whether they hold all these qualities. Are there ways you would suggest that we can find out? I.e not merely from the prospective spouse's mouth or their family (who can sometimes lie to make their son/brother etc appear a certain way. I've unfortunately experienced this). Many thanks, jazakallahu khairan.

    • @idowuaroyehun3880
      @idowuaroyehun3880 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      During relationship, just try and test him and see how he's gonna react. If he passes the test, then he's yours but if he fails, you can test him again. Lol......
      But the most important part is to pray to Allah for a rightful husband/wife.
      This is just based on my little idea.
      Hajjia Nafisa knows better than me.

    • @SandraStachowiczLtd
      @SandraStachowiczLtd ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you ever need to test a man that's because you don't trust him and the relationship is doomed already Testing a man's character is a low move and high value women simply don't do that The best way is to judge someone's character is to simply observe how he treats his mother, father, sister, brother, or other authority figures, such as police, how he talks about his boss and people of "insignificance", such as servers or waiters who are unlikely to benefit him in any way

    Subhanallah my husband had all of these at first but then they slowly deteriorated because he was so fixated on his job. He even admitted he prays 4 prayers at the same time because of busy he gets! This is the same man that used to fight me for not praying on time. Clearly if he has no time for his Lord then he has no time for me. No time for me even when my father passed away…I’m really better of without him but inshallah may Allah do best for both of us. It’s a lesson for both of us as I was impatient and he was dismissive

    Kindness and nuturing are for women... Men are strong and resilient and protective. Men can never compete women in kindness.. fathers maybe.. but as a husband.. not so much. He is human, treat him with the qualities he was given.. he was not made emotional. Women are emotional. Women complete men in that aspect... Don't expect men to be emotionally strong... They can never be.

    I recently got married Alhamdulilah, but my husband and I live in different countries. We both work full time and make good money but he doesn’t provide for me, we haven’t talked about it, is he supposed to?

    • @NafisasPearlz
      @NafisasPearlz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Islamically speaking - yes he is supposed to. It is part of your rights as a wife even if you make good money except if you say that you are ok with him not providing. The distance is inconsequential, Allah tells the believing men in the Quran to provide for their wives from their income. Your right as a Muslim wife is to be housed appropriately, to have your adequate clothing provided and fed by him. If he is able to provide these but refuses to do this then it is a form of oppression and he will be asked about this on the day of judgment ; except in a case where you forgo your rights. And Allah knows best.

    Assalamu alaikum sis, jazakAllahu khairun for making this video. I’m not married but I’m speaking to a man who is respectful and kind. He said he is a practicing Muslim but doesn’t pray 5x a day, which is not a problem for me because I know it takes time to develop that habit. But I wear the hijab and he said he would prefer that his wife doesn’t wear the hijab. He said in the end, it’s up to the woman and her relationship with Allah, and he shouldn’t interfere, but is this a red flag?

    Slaam alaikum I just wanted to ask a question regarding marriage. I sent my wife to be her mahr before the nikah is that okay because I read somewhere that you should give it at the time of nikah or after not sure but I gave her to get gold and some clothes as my haq mahr gift. So basically is it okay that I given the mahr before the nikah marriage sp then when imam does nikah I can say that this much amount I sent before as mahr and she brought gold and clothes. So will my nikah still be valid just worried. Let me know thanks much appreciated

      Salam alaykum brother, let me quickly answer your question and sister nafisa can also too later in sha Allah
      First of all, Mahr should not be given to get gifts like you said, gifts like clothes, bags , gold and shoes your wife requested is just for her clothing’s, her accessories towards marriage and that can also include kitchen utensils and so on. Please do not mix this two things together or use one bird to kill a stone , a mahr should be exactly something she demanded as her mahr and should not be mixed with other expenses except she does, herself: ( it is recommended at least two witnesses are aware of the mahr for future purposes)
      Secondly , Mahr can be given before the actual nikkah but note: there must have been a marriage proposal to her family and there should be an acceptance from both families before mahr can be given. It can be before nikkah , during or after nikkah.
      Thirdly, when the imam asks about mahr on your nikkah, if you have given her, you both can just reply thhat the mahr is collected and intact. Doesn’t necessarily mean you should mention the exact thing or amount to other people’s hearing.
      I hope this helps brother
      Congratulations in advance on your marriage

      The response by Better Muslimah is correct however I also want to add that it must be clear between you and her what her mahr is. The exact about or gift that you have decided upon. If she disagrees with the thing/amount then the marriage can not go on until she agrees so make sure she is clear that the money she got to buy the items are her mahr because in some cultures, those gifts are separate from the mahr. Also it is wise to have a family member from both sides witness the gift of the mahr for example in my case, my mahr was taken to my dad by my father in law after my then fiancé and I had agreed on the amount. They both acted as witnesses to it and my dad then gave it all to me to do with as I wished.
      May Allah ease your path and bless your marriage.
