I love how Escondido gets left out of alot of these videos. Although it's not a tourist destination, it does have better median prices for housing, and isn't as dense as the rest of the county. Oceanside is 25mins west on the 78, and you can get downtown in 35 mins via the 15 freeway, which is the best freeway in the county. Great city for those who want to get away from the southern overpopulation and heavier traffic areas. Closer to the mountainous areas, as well😎
@@uDrPeppehr Fashion Valley Mall, Sunset Cliffs, La Jolla Cove, for really good tacos try Taqueria Imperial (don't mind the area or awkward drive through), Coronado Beach is really nice and there is a really historic hotel right there that you can check out for free.
@@uDrPeppehrMy first recommendation would be taking the trolley a few stops get used to the differ parts of the city, The blue line has a lot of good stops from downtown going north. Also try going to Balboa Park and hiking in mission trails.
@@uDrPeppehr Depends on age and the type of community you want to be living in. There all pretty good overall, The roads suck in alot of places so get ready for that.
That was North Inland in the video. It's the region (which is correct). Not North Island. North Island is part of Coronado which is accurately identified in the video as part of the Central Coastal region. I appreciate your attention to detail!
Depending on the day of the week and time of the day, the 5 freeway will have a different "personality", but should an extreme emergency require evacuations good luck. If freeway traffic is slow and crowded, I exit the freeway and circle around then get back on the freeway. El Camino Real is a good route.
As a resident of Mira Mesa for 35 years, we are DENSELY packed in! We’ve got about 70,000 people in 12 square miles, tops…good schools though and pretty comfortable…good location for getting to and from the rest of the county
@@sandiegoneighborhoodinsider LOL yeah it's a Catch 22. I appreciate the tourist dollars for the local economy but good lord it gets crowded. We just appreciate what we have. We moved here 13 years ago and could never afford it now. Properties in our neighborhood have literally tripled in prices. It's crazy.
Oceanside (1 word) covers an area of approximately 42 square miles. There are parts I like and parts not so much. There is nothing in San Diego County as bad as LA County.
Since about 1967, I've lived in NORTH INLAND, SOUTH COUNTY, CENTRAL COAST AND NORTH COAST. I rate San Diego County much better than Los Angeles County in many respects.
@@sandiegoneighborhoodinsider The race trailers are built well. not like regular rv trailers. buy all aluminum. no rot, and roof aluminum too. no junk rubber roof. different styles to fit your lifestyle. 8ft and 11ft ceilings heights too. this is how i can live here much cheaper!
DO NOT move to south San Diego…. It LITERALLY smells like hard core poop!!! As matter of fact, there is a class action lawsuit going on now because of this!! I live in this area and have been looking to move way out of here.
Says under going renovations and coming back to market soon. Last time it was priced for sale at $21,900,000 before it was withdrawn on 12/21/2023. That was after a price cut from $25,000,000! It better be WOW and then some 😆
+@MK-pk1zw Black Mountain and North of Black Mountain does not have a ton of places to live. You would probably need to look west of Black Mountain. Unless you mean black mountain road possibly?
Rancho Bernardo has many small retirement homes, but also larger ones. It's a nice area. Check out the home prices, though. And if you have young kids, look at areas within the Poway Unified School District which includes a bunch of San Diego city areas.
the further you get to the ocean, the more expensive everything is, and the opposite it true...also, east county starts WAYYYYY before Alpine, it starts in La Mesa/El Cajon...also, central has the most gangs and the most blk ppl living there
Some of the most popular areas in San Diego are technically south of Mission Valley! North Park, Mission Hills, Point Loma, Coronado, Downtown, Kensington, South Park, Otay, Chula Vista!
I live in cardiff it's sucks don't move here! The crime rate has gone through the roof since the open borders . Cars are stolen every night house are broken into everyday.
Del Cerro / San Carlos area is wonderful!

North island is on Coronado. It's the Navy base. Nobody calls the north east part that includes Escondido North Island.

Carlsbad resident here. My wife and I don't even go to the beach in the summer due to so many tourists. Still an amazing town though, Heaven on earth.
So good for our economy in San Diego but so bad when you are a local and you just want relaxing day at the beach. I hear you.

Sadly, the 5 freeway is often a disaster.
Ocean side is so low life. It's like down town long beach 😢

Carlsbad and Oceanside have become the new Hoods unless you live in Leucadia

Buy a race trailer with living quarters.

What part of San Diego are you in?
Where is the hilltop location at 4:54?
That's double peak park up in San Elijo Hills / San Marcos. Nice little hike with a spectacular view at the end... Or just drive up 😆

This was a more technical presentation. I know most locals refer to East County as anything from Del Cerro or San Carlos and East from there.

I wouldn't live in SD if you paid me to, but I visit there occasionally from northern Baja, so this is interesting information. Thanks!

I live in a p Premier San Diego neighborhood 😮😅!
So you wouldn’t live in Paradise- 👍🏼
Encinitas. The rest of SD sux.
Encinitas is one of my favorite neighborhoods. I have 2 brothers there.
Agreed. Everyone move to Encinitas, please stay out of my neighborhood.
Yeah Encinitas is the best city in San Diego. Buy up all the real estate and there

Encinitas is a MAGA hub. Lost its soul and style.
