Thank you very much, just did this repair in under 2 hours, I struggled with a few parts but your instructions were so clear, that I was able to get it all done correctly... Awesome
Never write comments but this video saved me $450+ worth of labor. Couldn't have been easier to follow and my installation went flawlessly. Big thank you and I will look to your channel for any of my future automotive needs!
@@yunggjulio2012 I'm just waiting for the window regulator to be in shipped and I'll be tackling this. One thing I've noticed is there's two types of motors. One is automatic up and down and the other is just up and down. I didn't want to pay the dealership prices so just got mine on Amazon and said screw the automatic, as long as it works that's all I want.
Dreaded doing this but your video gave me the confidence to install a new window, mirror, and window regulator on my Saturday off. Appreciate the help!
Thank you very much for this video. Saved me a lot of time. Btw: My window was stuck at the very top, and I had no way to push it down. The best way is to remove the cover of the motor on the actuator. Then the window can be lowered by hand.
Great video. Only problem I had, was that I didn't realize window wasn't set in brackets correctly. When the window would go all the way up, it immediately came right back down. Adjusted the way it sits in brackets, and it worked. Thanks
Watching your video & all the steps to remove n reinstall was intimidating. However, the instruction was very thorough n very helpful. Thx 4 the video. Probably saved me 3-4 hundred in labor & it was pretty easy.

Great video very informative perfect step-by-step instructions. Literally anyone can do it with this video and you save us about $400-$500 in labor! Well done!
This video saved my father like 600 dollars. Did it for his 2016 GMC Canyon and bought the part on Amazon. Only thing is it's not automatic up and down when you push or pull the window button just once like the OEM but whatever, it works.
you just need to initialize the window, not sure the exact version for this truck but put the window up and hold the button up for like 10 seconds, then get the window down and do the same thing. might get one touch working again
Thanks for the special details and saving me money! Even down to the little paper towel trick! The regulator in my 18 Silverado broke. Your instructions were down to each point!
Thanks for the video it was very helpful. We do not have 1A AUTO here so.... but I really appreciate these videos. If I ever move where we have them I will go there for my parts. One note. The regulator window clips need to be loosened before you put them in the door. The back one is really a pain if you don't. Cheers! Thanks again.
Trying to figure out if this is my issue why my window on my 2015 Sierra 1500 won't roll down or up but I can hear a light click when I engage button on switch . It's only the driver window and this happened and I tried to roll window down frozen. Any advice?

Beautiful! Clear, step by step instruction from beginning to the very end with helpful pointers too. Unfortunately had to source part elsewhere as y’all did not have the 2016 Chevy Silverado front driver’s side window regulator but I will return to you in the future!
What if your window is stuck in the down position how are you able to take out the window regulator? I’m having a hard time. Trying to figure it out, I’ve tried pulling up on the window, but it does not budge.
I noticed you removed the trim up and around the window but in the portion of the video where you replaced the parts all the trim was back on. I assume none of that needed to come off.
I just fixed my 2015 Tahoe passenger door motor problem. The electronic board was bad . The input and output connection pins were not soldered to the board! I just soldered the board and tested. I started working.
Good video... but just wondering For what reason would you tell the general public to remove the glass from the door? That's completely unnecessary step..
I just did two that were ceased up. I tore them apart to find the commutator brushes out of placement. I'm not sure how they jumped their housing, pushed them back in, greased the gears, greased the rails, reattached, and good as new on 23 year old vehicle.
I’ve replaced two regulators and the auto up only goes about 4 inches and then goes back down. I have to inch the window without engaging the auto up function. Any ideas/suggestions?
i sure would like to know how you got the window up and down with the regulator broken. It was up to remove the bolts that attach the window to the regulator, then you brought it down to remove the window from the brackets. Mine is stuck in the up position. seems like the top two bolts for the regulator will not budge with the window in the up position even though i pretty much got the brackets detached from the window.
Same problem! I cut the two black housings with the cable running inside. Don't need the old non-functioning assembly anyway. Make sure you tape the window up or it will drop. I also plugged in the new regulator and lowered it down a bit before putting it in. it allows you not have have the space to work without removing the glass, make sure the metal track is between the glass and interior facing side of door.
Im having issues after installing window regulator. My window rolled all the way down at first. Now it rolls half way up and goes back down. The only way I've been able to roll it all the way up is to disconnect the neg. Terminal on battery then reconnect. If I roll it down I run in to the same problem. Please help.
+Rafael Castelan Since there could be multiple reasons why youâre experiencing this difficulty with your vehicle, I strongly recommend that you have a reputable mechanic inspect it. Theyâll be able to troubleshoot the problem and tell you what part or parts youâll need for the repair.
interesting to see that there is still no answer to the question i asked 3 years ago. Regulator or motor is broken in the up position. how do you get the window down? I am back replacing this same part 3 years later and i ran into the same problem. i can't get the two bolts at the top out with the window in the up position. i am an old man, so i don't remember how i solved it the last time. my half baked brain tells me it just jammed last time, and it started working again.

I have the same problem! Replaced regulator, ran up and down the first time. Put everything back together, tried again, rolled down fine, but only came back up @4". Only way I can close is short pulls on the switch, can eventually get closed. Had the same action required message. I'm thinking there has to be some reset sequence to complete, but I haven't found anything yet!
This is my fix. Push and hold down button. Hold for 3 seconds when fully open, then pres and hold up till fully closed and hold for 3 seconds. Should clear

How to move the window down when the regulator is broken?
You are the best guys!

Exactly what I needed. Thanks
Awesome tutorial thanks!!
What do I do if I can’t get my window all the way up to access the holes to unbolt the window from the frame?
Did you find help with this?
Same question here. The window is stuck down.
This video is the best
Is this the same for 2015 to 2018 Escalades?
Good video... but just wondering For what reason would you tell the general public to remove the glass from the door? That's completely unnecessary step..
One of the 6, 7 millimeter screws is smaller than the others. Where exactly does it go?
Does anybody know where I can get a replacement triangle piece that's holding the door knob rod in place

How did you get window up?
Thank you for making this video!!
Thank you so much, good information 😢😮😅😊😂🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great lesson
Thanks for the video!
How do I put down the window after I loosen the 10 mm nuts? Motor is broken.

does the window have to come out? i am currently doing mines right now

The rubber channels that hold the window on the regulator seem to be misaligned. Can those be adjusted or am I installing something wrong?
