One of my favorite pound cakes is Cherry Nut Pound Cake. Pound cake with chopped Maraschino cherries and almond extract. The icing is cream cheese icing with chopped pecans, coconut and chopped Maraschino cherries (make sure the cherries are well drained, well well drained)

Hello Teresa, I'm not sure why but your video popped up on my youtube feed this evening and my daughter absolutely loves pound cake. In her 42 years I have still not found a recipe to equal my Grandmother's and she never used a recipe when baking. I will definitely be trying your recipe. Thank you for the wonderful instructions in the video. I didn't know to beat the sugar and butter for 8 minutes; most recipes just say to beat until creamy. I can see I still have a lot to learn. P.S The little guy that popped into the video is really cute. I think he earned a piece of cake for after supper. :)

Your cake pan reminds me of mine. It was my grandmother’s cake pan and I remember her using it when I was a little girl. When she passed my mom gave me the cake pan. I’ve been married almost 51 years and I’ve always used that pan when making a pound cake. That pan has to be at least 70 years old and still works beautifully

I finally made the cake w/regular All Purpose Flour & it came out So Moist & Fully; I didn’t taste much of the Sweetened Condensed Milk, but I did add just a touch of Lemon Extract along w/Vanilla and my Granddaughter Loved it. Thank you Ms Teresa for the recipe! Love ur Videos ❣️

Can’t wait to try this. I will be looking to see if I can substitute cake flour for the White Lily. I have so darned much flour in my house I can’t bear to get one more specific bag. But anyway, Jacques Pepin, my absolutely favorite TV-famous chef (cooked for the White House for many years) says this about folding in egg whites: Take a little scoop of the whipped egg whites and vigorously mix into the batter. It lightens it up a ton, which then makes it a lot easier to fold in the rest. I love using that method. Also love that you refer to your cake as “her”!
Wonderful looks yum. Admire her cleaniness 100% for that and the cake also. Making this for sure for xmas. Lol husband want all of his piece dont blame him its lovely.
Just a heads up, l always take my butter wrappers and roll them around the inside of my cake pan. It usually provides enough grease to make your pan stick free. I am going to have to make one of these, that looks delish. The Lord sure gave you the gift of baking.

I enjoyed your video so much! You reminded me of my mother in law, whom i dearly loved. I marrued at 16, couldnt cook. She taught me so much. Including making biscuits, Every Day! And White Lily was the only flour ever used! And 45 yrs later from that, i still use it. But its so great to see a 'regular'cook. No fancy equipment or ingredients. Just a fiwn home good/great cook
Dense like a tight crumb is a great thing for a pound cake in my opinion. It can still be light and melt in your mouth. That it what your cake looks like 👍 well done
