Farcical China's Rocket Launch Fails: Held by Bolts on a Makeshift Scaffold. Far Too Rudimentary
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 1 ก.ค. 2024
- On the afternoon of June 30, 2024, a rocket slowly ascended into the sky over Gongyi City, Henan Province, trailing a long plume of smoke. However, as it reached a certain altitude, the smoke from the rocket's tail suddenly disappeared. The rocket, having lost power, then plummeted sharply and eventually crashed into the deep mountains 1.5 kilometers southwest of the test site, where it "disintegrated" upon impact.
An image surfaced showing the rocket being secured with several bolts on what appeared to be a scaffold-like platform, which seemed quite rudimentary. When SpaceX conducts static fire tests, multiple steel cables anchor the rocket, along with ground anchor bolts and a weighted cap at the top, ensuring 120% tethered strength to guarantee the rocket doesn't take off during static fire. In previously released photos by Space Pioneer, the rocket's top lacked any steel cable restraint devices connecting it to the ground.

@@danielch6662because crewed flights don't have self-destruct. They have an ejection system instead. Starship is planned to hold 100 people
They don't put a destruct on a test fire. Only on a vehicle ready to launch. You can actually watch when SpaceX installs theirs on any one of the many 24/7 live stream channels. Nobody leaves large amounts of explosives like that attached to a giant lightning rod.
@@danielch6662 Starship does have proper self destruct system in the test flights because its a on going development rocket. its called flight termination system(FTS). it's a c4 explosive attached to the booster and ship to make hole in propellant tank and make it boom.unlike china remains would fall on ocean.developed rocket won't have a FTS because it won't need one.

And then, it only had been firing for a few seconds, nowhere close to 30... not even close to 10 seconds... before liftoff. They tried to say it was fine until the rocket burned so much fuel that it lost weight. Well, it burned for maybe 3 or 4 seconds, then it took off and flew pretty high... then when it hit the ground and we saw the fireball... I don't think it previously had burned through all of its fuel🤣.

Truly the rocket is water filled
The engines likely didn't auto-shut-down during the flight -- rather, it appears that one or more engines were damaged when breaking away from the mount, and the engines subsequently failed during the flight.
It is a good thing the engine(s) failed when it did, because clearly there was enough fuel in the vehicle for _many_ more seconds of flight -- judging on the size of the fireball resulting from the impact.
Performance 'exceeded expectations'.
Instead of spending all the funds on the subpar military equipment spend some on your starving people
Engine test not supposed to lift off.
The worst part of the failed Rocket launches especially is the cancer inducing chemicals from the aftermaths...
At least _this_ rocket did not contain hydrazine. IIRC, this one was fueled by highly pure liquid kerosene (called RP-1 in the States)
Yeah, not all rocket fuel fireball has the same chemistry. The worst part is if there were people or animals where the rocket crashed.
They don’t care.
Looney Tunes Rocketry. Duck Dodgers in the 21st & 1/2 century.
Chinese fireworks do the same 🤣🤣
Those comments neither make sense nor fit the camera footage. If all the engines running will not lift a full-fuel rocket + its payload then you are wasting your time building it! All that black smoke coming out of the rear then side of the rocket does not look anything like a commanded test termination. That has more of the look of either an onboard fire or the engines eating themselves.
PS This report shows that the test stand is even closer to inhabited areas than I had first thought, the locals are right to be concerned. This could have been very much worse, loads of people have had a lucky escape from death or very nasty injury!
A more reliable space channel Scott Manly also concluded engine were failing. In the original footage you can see and hear the sound, smoke and flames change a few times before it falls.
Can land vertically like the Falcon 9? They do even better they can crash horizontally as well.
First heard about this through Scott Manley's channel. He didn't report that it was supposed to be a static test, however; he assumed that it was a technical failure. Technical failures happen and sometimes they are good things because you can learn a lot from them. However, neglecting safety procedures cannot be excused and heads should roll. This is especially true since the test site is located so close to an inhabited area. The closed information environment also reminds me a lot of the old Soviet space program, which hid failures because they were too embarrassing and it was relatively easy to hide them because the space program was a military thing and because... Soviet Union. NASA, like SpaceX, was always pretty public about its failures. Heck, SpaceX livestreams its failures.

You weren't paying attention. The previous time when Spacex lost a rocket after Elon cheaped out on not building a proper launch pad, yet Elons fanboys were cheering about how it was a great success because even though the rocket blew up, it did manage to lift off, so they got great data!

In their haste to criticize China, this channel missed one thing. The on board computer didn't turn off the engines. They blew up. Scott Manley have a good detailed analysis of the accident, WITHOUT the anti-China propaganda. Here we have sn actual instance where China screwed up badly and deserved to be criticized, but this channel becausevof sll the lies they are pushing can't even criticize China properly because they themselves don't even know what is real anymore, and just miss too many real issues.

So typical of the mainland! Spend millions on the rocket but skimp on simple equipment holding the rocket down.
ooh..., its a kung fu rocket.
no more "first flight" in September now lol. first flight just happened.
I made a school rocket project with a fuel of potassium nitrate, charcoal and sulfur. I added a electronic wireless glide and wings to control the flight of the rocket. I just taped the whole using a metal tube and seperated the electronics with a rubber sealant. The first flight the fuel burned the electronics and the fuel burned the tape turning the metal tube a projecticle destroying my neighbor's car windshield. So the next attempt I had no choice but to weld the tubes after adding the fuel covered in tissue tube and used a metal epoxy to seperate the electronics and this time it worked slightly I controlled the rocket's flight half heartedly and it did not fly off. So yes shortcutting anything related to a rocket and missile will result to a dissaster.
Sooo, did Aunt's borrowed screws failed catastrophically huh ?! 🤣🤣🤣🥴
When SpaceX or probably ANY space agency or company is testing rocket engines they are NOT in populated areas for one, two if they're testing an engine it's INCREDIBLY secure in its mounting, or if they're doing a static test at a pad, the pad is designed for static fire tests and there are not only straps holding the booster in place, there are latches that hold the based of the rocket to the pad. Those rockets aren't going anywhere. And considering how many companies there are that deal with this along with govts., this is just a total failure just like many other things in China, complete and utter failure.
Imagine if this rocket had a nuclear warhead 😱
Why is the original text in the video blurred out? It would be interesting to see.

"the weight of a fully fueled rocket should have been enough to hold it down." Wtf? So am empty rocket will fly? I'm not a rocket scientist but... I know full of fuel is better than no fuel
Worker : Boss, thousands can die if there will be an accident.
Boss : So...?
Tofu dreg extends to rockets too. Is it a Temu rocket?
Breaking into pieces, kind of an understatement
I posted on another video that poor planning is not the only reason for failures like this. Back in the 1970's in the Sacramento, CA area, rocket motors were tested on specially built test stands by either Aerojet General, or McDonnel Douglas for the US space program. One day some bolts failed, probably from not being replaced and the motor flew a short distance. It quickly ran out of fuel because the fuel tanks were externally ground mounted. I think that was the last time those test stands were used. One of them was only a few hundred yards north of a public highway and in plain sight.
I use low grade bolts in my tractor auger as shear bolts (to save the drive train in case of hitting big rock) Didn't know China used shear bolts for their test stand.
They weren’t shear bolts. They were top grade, multi-tested, stainless Chinesium. The same quality they export around the world.
Nice video and presentation.
The gyro stabilization system was on board, operational and is holding attitude, until engine shut down command issues.
This can hardly an accident. It is negligent and irresponsible. It may land on the adjacent city.
They really need to get rid of that test site and the nearby launch site. There's a reason why the largest _Long March_ rockets are launched at the Juiquan Launch Center next to the Gobi Desert and the Wenchang Space Launch Site on Hainan Island--far less hazard to nearby residents because of their location.
Watching this while my Kerbal is hiking 1km on the Mun to get rescued. Fell off my chair laughing when i heard they were counting on the fuel to weigh down rocket engines doing static fire.🤣
I like your ending statement. :-)
OHHH!! They were testing the SCAFFOLDING!!
Well it held on to the rocket for a few moments so I'd say that was a successful test.
Who could have imagined that, as you use up the fuel, the weight of the fuel would become less?
Only in China! 👏👏👏👏
I wonder if they have a big emergency "what about" button in mission control when things go wrong.
What happens when a scam country tries to copy a scam company? xD
Like the toys they make
Now that's funny, at least they didn't use zip ties.
I thought they had self destruct explosives to detonate when it went out of control.
After listening to tbe text messages, it's clear why the rockets were built so close to towns.
They just wanted to save money on travel and shipments expenses
China is a prime example why regulations are extremely important.
If they expected the weight of the rocket itself to keep it on the ground... That's kinda not how a rocket is supposed to work..
It's by a private company testing rocket. This channel was happy to announced it 😂😂😂 China already broadcast it's not a national rocket!
The casual response makes you wonder about the reports of "no civilian casualties".
