The block is now currently airing on Adult Swim (2012-present) on late Saturday nights (around late primetime around 11pm/11:30 pm or midnight @ 12 am).

I remember seeing this on ABC Australia back in 1995 when i was 2 years old whenever my cousin babysat me and my brother and me, my brother and i were hooked on it (Despite my brother and i is a boy and My Cousin was a girl). ABC aired it two or three months after the Canadian airing because Canada and Australia are part of the commonwealth.
Sailor Moon , Speed Racer, and Samurai Pizza Cat was my first few anime in 1996, the mid 90s....... The Program Exchange were a syndicator for television shows. They were most well known for syndicating the old Classic Media catalogue like Bullwinkle and Underdog.
Well the DIC version got canceled in 2004. It ran for about 2 seasons until their Adv license deal expired. It first started in 1995. The only possible way to watch it is on DVD, I don’t Think they have it on streaming channels. But now we’ve got the viz media dub which started in 2014.
I was born in 93 and didnt get into Sailor Moon til about .maybe 3rd to 5th grade. I loved the dic dub (even if it was corny at times) Looking back now, I say there are some things they couldve done differently but i understand why they did wut they did

I wish i was a born just a couple years earlier because I got into SM when I was about 6 and years old, and that was in 2002-2003, when the Cloverway dub was already aired. I had some of the dolls and VHS tapes along with the Cutie Moon Rod from R, but it seemed like I was the only SM fan around! Although the DiC dub can sound familiar sometimes, cuz of the music, hmmmm...maybe I watched it in the 90s but just don't remember. :)

Heh, I remembered being so used to seeing those crappy graphics all over not on Sailor Moon, but on some of the nick jr shows that we’re from japan. It’s so surreal to see these shows with their original Japanese credits now.
The Sailor Moon Manga, Crystal, Eternal and Cosmos has an important meaning quote Accept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the thing you can and have the wisdom to know the difference.
Guess since they couldn't find a way to use Heart Moving from the original or make a new ending song, they just decided to reuse the song from the opening credits instead.
DiC decided it was gonna be like that. The Japanese had a different ending song but I guess it had to do with marketing. If you dont forget her name you will know who she is by her song.
dragonball z, this(sailor moon), pokemon, and digimon were my first four shows where i started to watch anime back in the 1990s when i was a kid. but i grew up with pokemon, digimon, and dragonball z. sailor moon was one of them the animes i've watched, but i don't know what happened to it.

Both the original Japanese and also the Spanish version are both very well done. However for those of us who came to know Sailor Moon through this version, it holds a lot of nostalgia and is charming in its own right too.
Actually, it was Optimum Productions that ruined Sailor Moon. DiC published it, but was forced to change Zoisite into a tomboy because parents in the 90s didn't think gays would be a good influence to younger audiences. It was a different time after all, so we weren't used to Japanese stuff and gay culture as we are now. The younger audiences that should watch Sailor Moon are young boys, not little girls. If there's anything to blame for ruining our childhoods, it's the censors and their strict policies.

DiC decided it was gonna be like that. The Japanese had a different ending song but I guess it had to do with marketing. If you dont forget her name you will know who she is by her song.

dragonball z, this(sailor moon), pokemon, and digimon were my first four shows where i started to watch anime back in the 1990s when i was a kid. but i grew up with pokemon, digimon, and dragonball z. sailor moon was one of them the animes i've watched, but i don't know what happened to it.

Not making fun of toonami since it was a beast(1997-2002) but sailor moon was in the US long before toonami here in new York sailor moon was on channel 11 in the mornings

@@kevinwong6588 oh, so that’s the channel it came on! I could’ve sworn it was WNYW. I remember catching the ending of an episode very early in the morning in the mid 90s. I was hella young, probably like 3 or 4.

The ending in Japanese and Spanish are so epic. This falls short. not even close
Both the original Japanese and also the Spanish version are both very well done. However for those of us who came to know Sailor Moon through this version, it holds a lot of nostalgia and is charming in its own right too.

I swear Dic ruined Sailor Moon
Actually, it was Optimum Productions that ruined Sailor Moon. DiC published it, but was forced to change Zoisite into a tomboy because parents in the 90s didn't think gays would be a good influence to younger audiences. It was a different time after all, so we weren't used to Japanese stuff and gay culture as we are now. The younger audiences that should watch Sailor Moon are young boys, not little girls. If there's anything to blame for ruining our childhoods, it's the censors and their strict policies.
