This has happened before my first deck was paradox joihra. Paradox got band and wiped half the format yet we still here. We might loose people for a while but many will come back happened to me with flash came back after it was band. If anything I’m excited to brew for the shake up I’m taking korvold in a bunch of different directions that’s not just dockside.
Ditto. In fact I'm surprised so many cedh people are just talking about adapting and moving on instead of saying *!@#* the ban list: X tournaments will allow players as if those didn't happen.
I have a Jan Jansen cEDH deck and really agree with the puzzlebox analogy. Any new/banned relevant card means having to re-evaluate card piles. For example, if they print a strong lifegain card I need to re-evaluate Ocelot Pride; Sorin of House Markov; Ratchet, Field Medic and Case of the Uneaten Feast.
My favorite deck that I have been playing lately is Dargo/Sidar , a Naya Stax that delays the game and wins with Dargo turn 4 or 5. Sometimes on turn 2. I just don’t know how the deck will fair now with out Crypt, Dockside and Lotus. Feels like 50% less consistant. Always love your videos
Question for Mons and/or Pontus : On a level of playable to completely fringe, how would you rate "Grishnakh, brash instagator" in those new Dargo decks ? It can make up to 6 Dargo mana while killing an opponent dork or small stack piece so ceiling is quite nice, but the nonlegendary thing might be very rough so I'm not sure.
Can't do links in comments since they get auto deleted but if you look for me (spontus) on Moxfield you can find it in my public decks Currently named something like: [TEST] Tymna dargo dead? Let's see
dockside was banned because the next set is enchantment flooded jlo and crypt so the game can go longer and let the enchantments work nadu is just nadu broken
Nadu was just a slight annoyance on cedh tho: yes its technically non-deterministic but it is way shorter to wait to see if a Nadu gets to combo than to play against a dedicated Stax deck that manages to lock the table before a turbo deck can win out. Like I'm not saying it wouldn't have been banned if CEDH had it's own ban list, I'm just saying it would have probably had like a 50/50 chance or would have been only banned as a commander as it was a popular option being discussed.
cant wait for every person on the planet to play kinnan, tymna variants or rogsi. such good bans, much wow
Seriously, what shit bans.
Still think its a really bad sign that the bans made people switch from the deck they want to play to the deck everyone else was playing before.

How it is a bad sign? It's just what happens in every format where a card gets banned.
@@dimitriid because cedh was a thing before dockside and jeweled lotus, the ban list is good and ban. dockside was a problem. i
Cope lmao @@dimitriid
If this is a hole series I'm here for it.
Very interesting to have Pontus here to discuss the deck
Perhaps Magda or Jhoira Weatherlight Captain update?
I like the into tune

The lego/duplo analogy is wild, but too true, haha. Coming from a RogSi player, I certainly feel like I’m puzzle solving on easy mode
Rogsi: Duplo < Dargo: Lego
NO! BIG NO!
Blue farm/ dog si next?
najeela next.

I liked bans. Was a little sad to see Jeweled Lotus go. Great video.

3 mana is a bot expensive. But I kinda like this card but I think it might be to weak.
can you make a update for rakdos, the muscle too, pls?
Not really on the list of to do Commanders for this. So I think I have to say sorry. So many others to do before that.
I really liked my Hard Control Elminster deck- it was a „fringe deck“
Now After the bans i can‘t play it anymore against Highpower decks..
Consider KCI combo stuff
I have and no
I’ve been brewing with kind darg to replace korvold I’ve got it down to a consistent turn 3 inconsistent turn 2 win
Could you add link to the deck?
Can't do links in comments since they get auto deleted but if you look for me (spontus) on Moxfield you can find it in my public decks
Currently named something like: [TEST] Tymna dargo dead? Let's see
Decklist link in video description.
Soldevi adnate does the same thing as the Illuminor but only costs 2 mana to cast.
No adnate sadly only sacrifices artifact or black creatures which dargo is neither (would be sick though)
I had it in my list till I recognized the nonbo

@@dimitriid i don't dis like nadu it was annoying to play against but not unbeatable
this is pure cope
😊
RogSi stocks after the ban 📈
