I have over 250 budget friendly decks in my Aetherhub archive aetherhub.com/...

Magic the Gathering Arena Starter decks offer a good entry point for new players, but their power level can vary. Here's a breakdown:
Strengths:
Learn the Basics: Each deck focuses on a specific color combination and strategy, introducing core MTG mechanics.
Pre-Built and Balanced: You can jump right into playing without worrying about deck construction.
Free to Play: Starter decks are a great way to try MTG Arena without spending anything.
Weaknesses:
Limited Power: These decks aren't optimized for competitive play and might struggle against more refined decks.
Low Rarity: Starter decks mostly contain common and uncommon cards, limiting their long-term usefulness.
Starter decks are a solid choice for beginners to learn the ropes of MTG Arena. While not the strongest decks, they offer a fun and accessible way to get started. Once you get comfortable, consider upgrading them or exploring other deckbuilding options.
I am totally new to magic and your videos are helping me a lot. Thank you very much! :)
I'm so happy to hear that! Don't miss my Patreon, I put a lot of things there.
I don't often upgrade these decks for use in standard, but often use the Starter Deck Duels for quick wins or to satisfy daily quests... would be very interested in your opinion on the strength of each deck... specifically which are best for the Duels event. (not for your upgrade potential tier list) Cheers!
I've found the Izzet and Simic decks most consistent so far. Cheers!
In such a mini-meta context, I think the general order still holds up. Upgrade pathways would be out the window, and I think the range between the best and worse will be considerable more narrow. The WB Power to the People does retain some value for color quest combinations.
Not at all surprised to hear Simic doing well, it has a lot of sleeper potential.
I'd love to hear more about your Izzet finding, perhaps I have judged it too harshly?
@@aegisholdings There are a few big bodies (especially Melek Reforged Researcher) with ridiculous card draw and enough burn to get you through! Cheers!
I'll need to give this a bit more play, thanks
I think the izzet it's absolutely cracked, the amount of draw and burn. Ill timed explosion let's you set up boardwipes that basically any other deck has a harder time recovering than you. I played basically as burn control deck, and In his minimeta it's so good
It's looking like I may need to further evaluate this deck before the BLB Budget Deck Tier List. Thanks for the feedback!
This is the one I've been playing the most of in the minimeta to get my daily wins in. It's fun to play with lots of interesting spell sequencing decisions to make. I feel like I'm getting >50% wins with it after learning the ins and outs of piloting. Probably not the best for taking out into the wild. I agree with the Magi that Dinos are probably the best for transitioning out of the minimeta and into the play queue.
doubling of the audio at 17:05 - but great video!~!
Thanks!
I'm really disappointed in this slate
What about it did you find disappointing?
"Dino Might" and "Power to the People" have done well for me
I would love to hear more about your experience with Power to the People
Stared playing mtga 3 days ago and Dino might been my favorite.
Hey Magi! Nice video ;) 🙌❤️
Thanks!
