I think because Royal Blood are a two piece band it means that he can really show off in order to make up for missing instruments and he does it very well.
This gives an awesome perspective of the coordination needed to be a decent drummer. I play guitar and drumming is like a black art to me. Great job fella. I would love to be able to play the drums like this.

I think it's just practice with the song in your ears :) I did the same with Even Flow by Pearl Jam, it wasn't recorded with a click so it was a bit tricky to play along but after a while you'll get it! I mean, I hope you did 5 years later lol
