Your garden is beautiful, Karin. Ideal for a family. I am a mother of two children aged 9 and 13. I love being a mom and it's exhausting. Looking back, when my kids were little, I found the lack of sleep the hardest. Power naps helped whenever possible. What I also had to get used to was the fact that I could no longer spontaneously run out of the house, as is my nature. A trip alone or with children had to be timed and planned. It was a learning process and made me inventive. My advice, trust your maternal instinct, that's the best guide. In the meantime I have some time for myself again, I am planning an apprenticeship at the age of 50 with the aim of becoming self-employed... Your words give me a lot of courage, electrify me, thank you!

Thanks for the encouragement! I am a mom of 3. Ages 5, 3, and 2. Juggling life with being a mom is honestly so tricky. I sell vintage home decor (rugs etc) and my business has been so neglected since having 3 kids. When my oldest was little she would nap frequently and play happily and I could get so much more done. I did markets with all of my kids in baby carriers and would just nurse them and burp them while doing sales :) . With 3 it is just trickier finding time to take a shower let alone to focus on business. That being said being a mom is amazing and such a rewarding aspect of life that I would not want to miss out on. Keep up the good work!

So glad I saw this. I’m a sophomore at my uni, studying interior design and something tells me I will eventually start my own business. I’m the type to steer away from the rules, I’ve noticed, but I’m scared I won’t be cut out for it… but at the same time I’m really stubborn and will start something if I can visualize it, no matter how hard it is. I would offer the same advice you gave about starting your own business, "keep going, believe in yourself, it's really, really hard, but so worth it." Also, routine, structure, time for yourself, setting boundaries and being present. I think you practice all those things already!

I'm a 39 yr old Mam of a 3 yr old beautiful girl! I was used to being super productive before having a baby and found it frustrating and anxiety inducing to try to do everything I did before but fall short of the high standards I set for myself. I learned to take a breath, have more patience and to be kinder to myself. I realised I was expecting to achieve the same results in the same timeframe as before and started to set more realistic goals for myself. You are doing great though, I promise it all gets easier as time goes by!🇨🇮💕

Mom here to a busy 13 month old girl. I’m redoing my patio right now too! I need a play area for my little one bad. I’m thinking of a low shelf I can rotate toys and a bin/sink for water on the top. (We also had to add railing so we could sit and relax on the patio and not chase our lo from falling.)
Love your channel. I say switch out the lights. They are nice but if you are questioning it, I say it's a sign to get something you will love. Even if you are renting!!

I am a mom of 4. Working in corporate with a high stress job. It just gets easier with age not with time. Yes I said it, when I realised I also matter I started taking care of me also. Now and not later. ( 19, 12, 6 and 4). I am 46 years old. I work out now, I take time to watch this video during work because it energizes me and then I will carry on. That’s how.

Starting a business is fucking hard! I remember when I started mine in mid 2007. I would go canvasing during the morning passing out postcards to different homes. Then I would try to figure out how to digitally promote myself. Then I would go to any free biz networking event. All that said, I loved every moment . My current struggle is posting regularly on TH-cam. I have so many cool projects that I cannot post about publicly due to contractual agreements. Anyway cheers from S. Cali.

I never comment and I follow you since long ago (almost 4-5years) I truly thank you for your "words of wisdom" was what I needed to hear (sorry my English not my native language) I'm living in uruguay I'm a mom of almost 3 years old girl. And I feel you! The best advice I can give you as somebody already told you, is just to relax, and be kind with yourself you're doing it right! You're the best mom your daughter can have. Learn to accept that sometimes (more than we want) we cannot do everything as we wanted to be, and that's ok too! We have to lower some expectations and focus on what truly matters, if you need help you ask for it, I think (at least for me) that it gets better you will have a little bit more time again, more SLEEP and that's huge xD. each period has its challenges, but you will get it 💕💪🏻 you're doing it great mama lots of hugs 🤗

Yes I am a mom, my baby is 11 months old. She's walking and babbling. I work as an interior designer myself. I'd say that, personally, you can't really do "everything". I'd say, whatever demands your focus for that given time - is the most important thing for that specific time. Hope that helps. We miss you!

Mom here to a busy 13 month old girl. I’m redoing my patio right now too! I need a play area for my little one bad. I’m thinking of a low shelf I can rotate toys and a bin/sink for water on the top. (We also had to add railing so we could sit and relax on the patio and not chase our lo from falling.)
Love your channel. I say switch out the lights. They are nice but if you are questioning it, I say it's a sign to get something you will love. Even if you are renting!!

I am a mom of 4. Working in corporate with a high stress job. It just gets easier with age not with time. Yes I said it, when I realised I also matter I started taking care of me also. Now and not later. ( 19, 12, 6 and 4). I am 46 years old.
I work out now, I take time to watch this video during work because it energizes me and then I will carry on.

Starting a business is fucking hard! I remember when I started mine in mid 2007. I would go canvasing during the morning passing out postcards to different homes. Then I would try to figure out how to digitally promote myself. Then I would go to any free biz networking event. All that said, I loved every moment . My current struggle is posting regularly on TH-cam. I have so many cool projects that I cannot post about publicly due to contractual agreements. Anyway cheers from S. Cali.

Hi Karin, you do Great! I am a Mom, too. My son is 5years now. And with 2-3 years it is all getting a lot easier, because the kid can do so much on his / her own and the communication gets easier between parents and the kid… Best advise for this Young stage is to get your Mom-Break to Me Time to stay calm and positive! I never comment and I follow you since long ago (almost 4-5years) I truly thank you for your "words of wisdom" was what I needed to hear (sorry my English not my native language) I'm living in uruguay I'm a mom of almost 3 years old girl. And I feel you! The best advice I can give you as somebody already told you, is just to relax, and be kind with yourself you're doing it right! You're the best mom your daughter can have. Learn to accept that sometimes (more than we want) we cannot do everything as we wanted to be, and that's ok too! We have to lower some expectations and focus on what truly matters, if you need help you ask for it, I think (at least for me) that it gets better you will have a little bit more time again, more SLEEP and that's huge xD. each period has its challenges, but you will get it 💕💪🏻 you're doing it great mama lots of hugs 🤗

Yes I am a mom, my baby is 11 months old. She's walking and babbling. I work as an interior designer myself. I'd say that, personally, you can't really do "everything". I'd say, whatever demands your focus for that given time - is the most important thing for that specific time. Hope that helps. We miss you!
