I'm back in the studio after some much needed time off during the holidays and I'm kicking off the year talking about VISION.
Having a clear VISION has not only been a key component of my personal and career success, but sharing a common VISION with our clients is house House of Bohn has maintained its position at the top of the interior design industry.

In mid-2020, I decided to leave my job at a law firm that undoubtedly made me unhappy 😂 and start a new career. Recently I finished an interior architecture course, which I have been thinking about for a long time, but never considered it as a serious career option. Looking at you, I have no doubt that the impossible is possible if you work enough for it. Thank you for your answer and for what you are doing, even for me, far from Poland. 🇵🇱 🙈

I'm trying to start my own interior design business and learning as much as I can and align everything I need while I'm working a fulltime job so that I can make the switch and start my career as soon as possible! My vision is what I'm living on trying to keep my goals in mind while putting in the work, working a mediocre job to save and get me to where I want to be. Its definitely not easy but just trying to be patient
Love how Karin always puts out positive vibes no matter what! Karin sees the silver lining in 2020! While everyone else was talking about how much 2020 sucked Karin over here making big moves! In the show restaurants on the edge Karin had a smile on her face even in the St. Lucia episode (I think) when the contractors were behind schedule! I would have probably been yelling but she was smiling!
My vision is to go from a solo stationery designer to a successful Christian journal/planner business that employs other people!!! I always wanna stay positive like Karin though!

And for me, my vision in 5 to 10 years is to help grow an interior design firm that has a small team of 5 to 8 people, who design Environmentally Sustainable Spas and Residential condominiums. I am really grateful for your advice about patience and having highlighting the importance of having a vision.
I moved from Germany to the U.S. and I am studying architecture. I want to work in the sustainability field and my vision is to combine the beauty of nature with concepts that will benefit the community and the environment. My vision for the year 2021 is to grow my design business I just launched back in December. I am READY to go full steam ahead, and sign more clients. My goal within two years is to make enough income to leave my day job and solely focus on my design business.

I hadn’t watched you for a while, almost a year as you seemed to be drifting into beauty and I was bored. So I clicked on this vlog 2021 Vision and am pleasantly surprised, you have come a long way and are doing some great work. You inspire me, I’m 64 years old just retired and moving to another state in Australia. You are just the kick I need some days.
I feel like I'm just plodding along and it's difficult to have a vision right now. But maybe that's just lock-down in my country. It's definitely sucking the motivation out of all of us.
I felt that way for a long time. We have been out of lockdown since November here but I still feel weird. Am starting to enjoy focusing on the things I like to do and also the things I have control over...

Guuuuurl, totally! I spend the first days of 2021 "slow", but what I actually did was to give myself time and space to think, understand and structure my mind and spirit. I continued with my 1-person bussiness (hehe) just this last week, and although I don´t have the same speed from when I worked for someone else, I feel more full and enriched with every thing I accomplish. Thanks for share a lot of self vision and desing, I really appreciate it
I also had to restructure. OMG. I’m working on my vision and it’s so much I just need to dive into it. I have my vision and then I need to have my vision for my son and what u want for us. I’m still compiling my list
Beautiful thing about 2020 for small businesses it truly helped restructure our businesses. I’ve heard it a lot from other business owners including myself. I’m an investor & realtor, my small business of salon suites I was able to restructure🙌all within 1yr. Truly proud of the vision I had during 2020, even with a 2 month shutdown I flourished. I’m so glad you’re vlogging again. I’m not in your field, but my vision for 2021 is to get licensed as a Mental Health Counselor. I have three graduate classes to take to fulfill state requirements and then I can take the exam.

Loved your motivational approach and creating a vision to move forward🥰 My husband and I are such a fan of your work! So true, you have to see what you want first before you plan. When you focus to much on what others do it can be too overhelming. I took a break from social media and overloading myself from reading all the biz books. Added more quiet time in my schedule to visualize what my true self is telling me and what action step to take next. You know all your answers when you just shut off all the noise. Taking a break is definitely super nessecary. Looking forward to seeing all you upcoming design projects!!

I am absolutely loving the longer vlogs, being able to see more (in the office and on site) across more than one day is really interesting. I love that you still kept a theme to the vlog which in this video was 'vision', I find this gives the content focus and purpose which delivers intentional value.
You are so consistent with your view on vision and patience, the message from this video is so crucial. Patience is key. The world we have created today is incredibly fast-paced, a 'microwave' society, while there have been advantages when it comes to advancements in technology, industry etc this has also created an unhealthy mindset that everything in our lives can be or even should be achieved quickly.
When it comes to our quality of life, living a healthy life (mentally, physically, spiritually), and working on our vision and goals it requires a long term commitment, consistency, diligence, determination and patience. We need to actually slow down, taking time to really 'be still' and gain clarity on what we really want and analyse and evaluate what aligns with us going forward to achieve it.

This is years out, but I am extremely passionate about it. In 2 years time, I should be in grad school then hopefully start my business after that.
This is why I like your day in the life videos...not that I want to be an interior designer, but to watch what a CEO does in their day to day life at work.

Today is my birthday and this year is the year of Aquarius according to astrology. Hahah, I feel like that, when I think I am going to have an easy day and it turns out to be crazy busy.
Glad to see a vlog! HNY. I have so much more clarity now and I’m excited as hell 💁🏾♀️I used to think I was behind in the game and I used to be upset about it. However, while on the sidelines, I never stopped observing, paying close attention to the industry, trends and all who followed along and it has most def help me realize exactly what it is I don’t want to do vs what I TRULY want to do. #2021

Inspiring message for the New Year- thanks! Also, after questioning, making comments last year about how oddly relaxed Karin and the staff seemed to be with Covid protocols when they returned after the shutdown- no masks in office, telling clients they didn't need to wear, etc.- in this vlog I notice a change. It seems healthier that the staff is being safer, with mask wearing and social distancing. I know it's a bother, but for the best.
