Just bought a 2nd hand one this year and I LOVE IT. It’s fast, easy to drive, great technology and oh such fun. Love, love, love the exhaust popping & crackling. At the age of 75 it makes me feel my youth again! My little Connie (the convertible) is a keeper. Totally besotted!!
Great review - all my initial assumptions about this car seem to be confirmed. As for the video itself, contrary to what others might think, I like that you don’t talk 100% of the time, with few jumpcuts, it allows me to think and easily picture myself driving this car and enjoying it.
This is such a nice car! I had my 2018 Mini Cooper 3 door hatch in September and I love it! Wasn’t sure whether to get a convertible as I live in the UK, we don’t get that much nice weather so stuck with the hard top. I made sure I had a sunroof so it’s similar to having a convertible but I still have the added safety of the hard top! Think I might get the convertible in a few years time! Love this colour too!

I bought my first Mini in 1968 £ UK 615 850 CC . 1977 went to work in the Middle East setting up Car Rental Companies for Avis, Europcar and Budget Starting up and buying what ever I could rent.all types that you get in a normal rental fleet but where people have high disposable income I offered Porsche 911 ,Ferrari, even White Rolls Royce's for Grand Occasions ...My Favourite CAR WAS THE FORD MUSTANG 5.0 litre Convertible I owned 2 , one I drove home via Cyprus and sold it in Germany.. Coming back to live in Cambridge UK. I have had a MINI One convertible for 3 years then a Cooper 3 door .And from the 5 Sept. 2018 The Cooper S My experience in the auto biz has racing and rallying. But there is nothing I enjoy more than my Cooper S and I haven't been above 70 mph yet. its still too new. I suggest you try it or any other MINI if it fits your lifestyle .YOU MIGHT EVEN BUY ONE.

Love this video! Wondrous endorsement for the wit of Danes as much as the wonders of the Cooper! Am about to take the plunge and test drive a Cooper (not soft-top, but with a sun-roof) and it seems the DCT is every bit as good as the manual option without running the risk of wearing out the clutch too soon or foot strain! Is it possible to get good fuel economy in town, too? Did you notice any lag on pulling off, in low gears at low speeds? Superbly funny and helpful film! Great stuff...
Nice Video! But one thing except the british flag. It’s not a twin turbo, it’s a twin power turbo. That means, it’s a twin scroll turbo instead of a single scroll turbo. One of the benefits is, it helps the turbo to spool quicker

To answer your question Sam, I think it does have an OPF filter. I did a review on an early 2018 Cooper S on my channel which pops and bangs like no ones business. I think they implemented the OPF sometime after March 2018, so I think the one I had missed out on it whereas this one didn’t.
POV Driving Tjena från Storbritannien 😉 The OPF filter here in the UK is something they’ve added to the exhaust system, in all new cars 2018 onwards to pass emissions and noise regulations in the new European law I believe. So all cars after 2018 whether it’s a brand new Porsche or Mini Cooper S, are significantly quieter and they don’t pop and bang very much anymore, they sound quite muffled. But in your video I could hear the pops quite well, so maybe this car didn’t have the dreaded OPF filter! :D
Oi mate, wanna give u sum feedback , u need to cut more in vids a lot of deadspace mate i would like more in depth review of the cars cuz all u say in every video is this is a good car , like man what? all cars cant be good u never compare to other cars in same segment u just say good car, its good at what it does etc. To be honest I gotta dislike this video mate, its low quality. u can do better mate ps. The tail lights aint 'The English flag' , its the UK flag.

Its not twin turbo, it's twin scroll. Meaning one turbo with two jets of exhaust gasses blowing at it at different speed and different radial points.

The rear break lights are not the English flag it's the United Kingdom flag. The uk is Scotland Wales England and NORTHEN ireland

Depends on what I’m doing. Golf R is more performance and fun, but the Mini is cooler and nicer to cruise with :)
