0:10 "Are you sure you're not just getting fat?" 👊🏻😵 0:22 "Looks like nobody told your boobs." 👊🏻😵 Haha Barney just loves seeking trouble, nobody should mess with Robin!
@@kennedy4257 He ended up being a pretty caring father in the show. The "womanizers are horrible people" trope is also not true. I`ve known people like that and most of them eventually grow out of it and get married. People who have never "let live" are more prone to cheating since they end up compensating for it in their old age when their life is settled and doing dumb things.
@@cowboybeboop9420 this was posted 3 years ago so obviously my opinion has changed. However, people who didn't want children happen to be the greatest parents ever. I still think Robin would a better mother than Barney a father.
For those against Barney development, remember that the series tells the story of how Ted meets his wife plus the development of the characters through the years. Marshall and Lily grow up from a silly couple to a family for example, and also Barney, Robin and Ted have to grow up. That's the whole point of the series, growing up as a person with your friends and a lot of comedy.
You know what? This scene (and episode in general) actually shows that there was really good character development for Barney. It makes it seem like the divorce was a shitty plot device to make Robin single for Ted. Barney thought he got a girl pregnant once and was freaked out. When he found out he didn't, he created "Not-Father's-Day". It is often joked that he might have a kid out there somewhere and it is never confirmed he has a child. We don't know of anyone else who comes forward saying that he fathered their child though. Even still this somehow becomes such a frequent joke that when Lily announced she was pregnant, he freaked out and said "I've never seen that woman in my life." and almost ran out of the room but then goes "Sorry force of habit." This scene with Robin is the first time he even comes close to be excited for a child. In season 9 when his mother makes Robin cry because she finds out Robin doesn't know how to cook eggs and says. "I just worry what you will cook for my grandkids" he stands up for Robin. He tells his mother that Robin can't have kids. Then explains he isn't marrying Robin because she's a plan for kids and a future. He's marrying a girl and he loves her. So that implied that he didn't need a child as long as he had Robin. However, in the last episode, Barney does have a daughter in a flashforward type of thing. Ellie is born in 2019 and at first he's not happy at the idea he knocked up a one night stand. But when he holds Ellie for the first time he immediately loves her. Which means he would have settled for no kids if it meant he could have Robin. But some part of him was happy with the idea of a child.
They were always "meant" to be together, sorta how you can always tell Viola and Orcino are "meant" to be together in "Twelfth Night," but at least for this episode, she's just kinda daydreaming.
Yes she does eventually find out that she isn't, but it keeps you on the brink when watching the episode. Also, she would not find out if she's not pregnant if she hadn't thought it in the first place.
Eh, granted that I thought it was really sad towards the end when (Spoiler alert if anyone hasn't seen this) it turns out that Robin's kids aren't real, it was a really amazing episode! Ted was an AMAZING friend to her, and it was one of the sweetest things ever.
@kelisa80 No I dont think you have to be American, but happy ending movies are usually typically American. And no, you won't see robin getting pregnant ever - there is already an actress scheduled (can't think of the name straight away) but in the series she's called Quinn. She will be Barney's new girlfriend. Ofcourse you want a happy ending in your OWN life, but when I watch series or a movie its actually interesting to see stories twisting instead of being straight forward.
In the beggining of the show, I thought Robin was just beautiful, now she's kind of ugly with her hair like that.. but still love her! And if Barney and Robin don't end up together I will fucking cry
@joe80dmanizanerd Quinn will be play by Becki Newton(Ugly Betty's actress). Yes, I know that. I did not say, Robin & Barney should be married (although it will be happy ending for the fan including me :)) but, I should state here once again "I really want to see a boyish girl handle a pregnancies and watch her father reaction through this matter". Well, sometimes when you have to much twist, people will start to feel boring.
@shaakirei It's a new actress thats being introduced this season. She is supposed to be Barney's new girlfriend. I'm not sure, but it's highly likely that she's the girl he marries at the end of this/next season.
@joe80dmanizanerd agreed, this and Bad News (where Marshall's dad died) and the one after that were some of my favorites from HIMYM, even though that are some of the saddest
Damn, I really want the whole Robarney thing to work out. But I don't think Robin is the one Barney is marring. This episode was really cute though :_) ... Like what if...
@joe80dmanizanerd what?? i feel like wanna cry. i really wish they were together! but robin did say that barney was her husband,in the episode? so who's barney's wife?
Kinda sad. Barney genuinely wanted to have a baby with Ted(yeah he was serious cuz he said "it can get pretty hard") but gets rejected by ted. Then he got excited cuz Robin was having his baby but turns out she cant have babies. Barney really wanted to start a family. His story is the only tragedy.
What Ted did at the end of this episode for Robin is the perfect example why I think Ted & Robin belong together. That may not happen, but just like just like Marshall, I'm still rooting for it.
Barney: I'm gonna be a DADDY!
Robin: *passes out*
Probably did that as payback.
It works so well bro 😉
Barney was probably excited to have a baby with the love of his life
One of the best episodes of the whole sitcom! Man, I cried so hard watching it, like, I couldn't breathe!
Doctor Doom damn dude calm the fuck down lol
Time Travelers was the best tho.
1:12 That's actually the perfectly staged faint, knees first, then turn then fall on your back, the head raise was pretty good too
i like watching it over again
This is such a amazing episode. Robin it's just an amazing character, I love her so much ♥
0:10 "Are you sure you're not just getting fat?" 👊🏻😵
0:22 "Looks like nobody told your boobs." 👊🏻😵
Haha Barney just loves seeking trouble, nobody should mess with Robin!
he looks so happy
Ooh, how i wished she was pregnant
2019???
Dude , nope !!! They were never meant to be
Bruh I know she’d be a great mother. But Barney as the father. Nahhhh

The best reaction to "I'm pregnant" in the whole film and tv industry
Cobie Smulders deserves an Emmy for this episode.
The fact she never got nominated for anything, not even people's choice awards and the like bugs me to this very day.

"I'm going to be a daddy!" *Robin faints* LOL
one of the saddest episode of the show
This and” stand by me” scene are the best in HIMYM !!! 😂 👌🏼
1:02 is the best im gone be a daddy
lotte .d I think he did that as payback for Robin punching him twice.
Barney and a kid at this age would be like Bowser and Bowser JR.
Both are terrible, but they have a good father/son relationship.
This is one of the best episodes of HIMYM ever.
I laughed so much at this, probably this goes in my top 10 funniest moments ever.
The way his voice goes up with “please stop hitting me”
love the way he says "DADDY!!!"
barney would be such a sweet dad =))
Are you sure you're not just getting fat?
👊😵

One of the 29318789349 reasons why We love How I met Your Mother. ;D
I'm impressed with NPH's 'Kramer-esque' physical comedy
I love the fact that it was uploaded in 2011 itself.❤️❤️
The way Barney’s head moves after getting punched 😂😂😂
this episode made me bawl my eyes out
Yes! A new episode for How I met your Mother.
I cried at the end of this episode
When Robin passed out he didn't even look at her lol
is it weird to be so heartbroken after this episode :(
just a lovely tone of that i am gonna be a daddy from barney... he always wanted to be a dad
i can't wait for this monday!!!!!
This was so sad! Yet at the same time, damn Robin got hot!!
Barney and Robin are getting married!
"Looks like nobody told your boobs" Barney is the best!
Damn Robin will punch anyone for anything😂
Did i past out? not exactly
For the record. Robin calls Barney "your father" to her kids. Obviously they get married, eh?
minipepsiboy you are thick
This is awesome.
And that's how Conor got into Shield
Isn't her name Maria Hill?
0:31 😂😂😂

When she passed out, I rofl'd
This wasn't a sad episode because Robin didn't want kids, so in the end it worked out for her. Not all women want kids and that's okay.
I am so can't wait for this monday :3

OMG i'm so excited guys! But i'm not sure if she really is! could be a wrong test!
what season is this
can't wait!!!
Kind of wish this became a real story. But it would suck for Robin because it probably would have hurt her career
Only when she keeps punching Barney
never fails to make me laugh!
