state farm said i was making multiple hard turns and hard braking every time i was in my parking lot at work, i used the tracker to get better rates and then they bumped up my rates so i tested what was considered a hard stop and going from 5mph to 0 in about 2-3 seconds was enough to wack it and that’s what eventually spiked my insurance, i was originally paying around 100 with full coverage and no deductible and then it dropped me down to 80 with the tracking deal and then after they tracked me and bumped me up to 170, they are a bunch of scammers, if i don’t have speeding tickets and don’t get in accidents my rates should not be increased because they don’t like how i park my damn car
USAA app is totally bogus. Dinged 3 times for stopping at red lights, instead of cruising on through. Dinged for checking messages while parked in a parking lot, dinged for checking an address while parked on the street, dinged for using my phone to open the garage door while parked in my driveway.
Government files a lawsuit and the victims won't see a dime. That's BS! I drive a Lexus and my insurance has doubled in three years. No wrecks, tickets and I drive 6000 miles a year. I want compensation.
Your insurance company will report the laps. DMV will come and get your license plate. There is an alternative. Open an account with the amount needed to claim self insured. I suppose you can still do that today. I know for a fact it was legal, years ago.
I paid $3500 to have my brand new Chevy truck flashed it doesn't have onstar door dingers speed limiter anti lock brakes none of that shit + added 85 hp and 4 mpg
This is bad because it is also flawed. I drive a couple of roads that are 45mph but the driver app I use for food delivery says it is 25mph in that area. It is wrong though. The lower speed limit must've been mapped during a construction phase. So I would be accused of speeding and see my rates hiked up and I would be an innocent victim in this scenario. Also the apps cannot account for driver safety when someone cuts me off and I have to hard break to save myself occasionally. I personally have been accident and ticket free for decades and that should be the only record my insurance company should need. Misusing these apps to turn a profit and hike rates on unsuspecting drivers is definitely lawsuit worthy.
@alexanderkennedy2969 (2)1988's, (1)1992. These 3 are registered and insured and in near excellent condition. Also (1)1993 and (1)1994 project cars. They'll likely be completed this year. I don't want any vehicle later than 1994. OBD1 only, no tattletales! I know, most people want new cars. I'm not one of them.
This is wonderful news. I'm a safe driver so this probably explains why my insurance rates dropped this year. Bad drivers deserve to pay higher rates so this is real data to support. It was crazy when insurance companies use Zip codes to determine rates. That's totally discriminatory while this is based on real data. I fully support the insurance companies using these data!
The more electronic toys on ur car the more someone can manipulate it.
This should be illegal. Laws should be put in p[lace to protect the people from having their data recorded at all.
Class action Lawsuit
But they are banning TikTok, you should be happy. Your data is protected

That was your fault for getting the tracker, lesson learned. They are not doing anything because they like you or want to give you a discount.
@@FakeOutraged trackers are excuses to increase rates

"How hackers got all your data"

So if you take your car to the track and go fast responsibly its still gonna mark you as reckless?
Obtained a lawyer yesterday! See you in court again General Motors!
Subaru owner here. Looks like it's being done to me also. My insurance jumped also.
I guess I know what new car i won’t be signing my life away on.
Snitches rust in car lots.
Just start driving without insurance. Screw the insurance companies. Thieves.
😂🤣 you need a license and registration to drive a car…cancel your insurance good luck when you get pulled over…maybe ride a bike

Yes, I saw a similar story on a female Camaro driver somewhere in the south.

@alexanderkennedy2969 when they flash your cars brain it doesn't have onstar anymore

THEY ALSO KNOW THE WEIGHT OF WHO IS IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT
Car insurance is evil. I've driven for decades without an accident. Did insurer lower my rate? No. They increased it every year.
Proud owner of 5 Chevy's that are completely spyware free.

And the government is worried about China's privacy policy 😂😂😂
Why shouldn't I be a doomer? I have so many reasons
😓

Just stay out of the left lane of. Thank you.
I thought your rates spike when you're involved in an accident. This is an overstep
Thanks for that industry-insider perspective. LOL
Fools love big brother. 1984 is your bible, I suppose.
You're probably the person who merges onto the highway at 45mph and gets mad when people drive around you.
