Hi Colette, The world is in a sorrowful state right now, so lovely to watch your video and escape from all the madness! Many blessings to you and dear little Patsy ❤️ 💕 ❤
I am going to make a big effort every day to stay grounded and close to mother Earth! As for the world of man, there is little I can do and shouting makes me hoarse and angry 😡
True Colette, so true. We feel helpless and all we will do is make our health worse. I wish I could live in the countryside, I live 5 mins by car and what a blessing that is, being near the edge of town and we even go into the market town 11miles away just to see the individual shops, little family run businesses and the castle on the hill. I enjoy your vlogs. Calming in a crazy world. Merry Christmas to you and Patsy.❤ Gill
@@bealtainecottage I know that feeling Colette. I stay away from media and no Tv. Happy Solstice and looking forward to the light coming back. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy new year to you and yours from a Galway girl 💚
Thank you for your uplifting messages. I, too, mourn the situation in the world and the coming year in the US where I live. I take solace in nature and being grateful for the small blessings the world around me gives me. Blessings to you, sister.
Blessings to you Collette for sharing your time and your energies of kindness, compassion, nurturing, honesty, integrity, caring and understanding through your own unique ways of living life moment by moment ❤🌱🫶🕊☯️🕉🪷🩷💜👍 Your informative and exciting content is life changing and teaching us to understand the importance of creativity and learning to live with harmony and respectfulness for the betterment of life with recycling, renewal and the clarity of respect for all life and the Earth. ❤😊
It’s very dark days in our world Colette but somehow the light will return. Blessings to you Colette and may you enjoy your beautiful woodland and life that you and Mother Nature have created. Thank you storm Dara.❤🇮🇪☘️
I feed the birds almost every day here in NorthEast Pennsylvania. I have 2 feeders in the front of the house and 4 feeders in the back. I also put some food on the ground. I routinely go thru about 100 US$ every few weeks. It does my heart good to see all the birds and chipmunks and squirrels, even a deer or 2 to come to feed. My Mom would just sit and watch the birds all day before she passed. I think so many come in her honor.
I’m live in tropical Queensland Australia…your home often makes me think of when I was a child living in a cold climate in Australia where it snowed. We had a federation home with fireplaces in every room of our house and my job with the help of my mother was to clean out the ash from the fires. We used to scoop them up into a bucket then take them out and put the ash down and make cinder paths throughout the garden. My father thought it was a great idea and decided to get several truckloads and use the ash as a driveway. This worked out well because it was able to absorb a lot of water after the snow melted and I used to love listening for the car tyres crunching on the driveway when he got home from work so I could run outside and he would pick me up and swing me around. We had an acreage property with a veggie patch, a stumpery, a mini orchard with peaches, apricots, nectarines and my favourite cherry trees…a chicken run and a small duck pond with a quince tree for shade (which I absolutely hate with their furry skin) but love the blossom…I so admire your woodland because it reminds me so much of my childhood running free and wild. Take care and stay safe. 🩷🩷🇦🇺🇦🇺
hearing the chimes reminds me of Jack and perhaps he and the wee ones hid it for you to find and enjoy again. Thank you for the lovely walk and sharing your creative self. I know Mother Earth is happy you are connected and thriving with Her
There is widespread desire manifesting in people to return to nature and embrace our true path in this beautiful world. I find this to be very uplifting and reassuring.
Blessings to you and Patsy as the earth transitions yet again. Makes me feel quite insignificant; a feeling I have grown to enjoy. Many thanks for this delicious video treat.
Dearest Colette, words cannot convey how much You, Miss Patsy (& all of your soul friends over the years, especially Jack) help me to endure & to eventually pull myself up & out of these past few years of intense sadness. Each video transports my soul to Bealtaine Cottage & gives me a new perspective on how to become the best version of myself. Life can be viewed in the same manner as how you are creating beauty out of destruction, opening up areas that were once dark to life giving light. I am pruning areas of my life that no longer align with my vision of living life with mother nature as my guide. I love you so much, as a Sister of Mother Earth and also a teacher of wisdom in all things. Thank you, thank you, Dearest Colette!❤🎄🐦
Dear Lisa, this makes me so happy to read that my videos help in anyway. In these dark times each and every human being has a choice as to how they navigate forward and how much kindness they share with others on the way. A simple but true philosophy. Blessings to you my friend XXX.
Colette, have a Jolly Good Solstice 🥂🔥🪵. Love the rock edging and the new plant bed. So happy for you. Airy and open space is good for the forest and you. 😉
Colette, thank you for caring about our beautiful world. For the woodland you have created. For your compassion, integrity, and humanity. Looking at events, isnotreal, enablers, etc. The powerlessness, anger and despair, we send out love into the world. Many yuletide blessings to you and yours You are a beacon of light in the darkness. Big hug Lady.❤
It's always a joy to watch the birds (and squirrels) in my garden. Sometimes it is chaos out there but I love it. Nature is a force to be reckoned with. It can be charming, bringing us the flora and fauna that we all love and it can switch to the most ferocious weather. Mother Earth is the boss. Blessings to you and Patsy. You are doing a great job. 😊
Happy Solstice to you and Patsy! I'm a cup-half-full kind of woman. But, I am finding it very difficult right now to believe that things are going to get better. I have disconnected from all MSM and almost all independent media. I avoid most people that I know have political opinions and beliefs that don't align with my own. And, I am finding that my life is much more peaceful. I keep myself busy with tasks and projects that give me joy. That's all that I can do to get through each day. Blessings
I know life is extremely difficult at the moment for most people as it’s hard to believe we live in such a cruel world, but the best we can do is to try to live and enjoy and peace with kindness.
So lovely watching the birds of all types waiting their turns at the birdfeeder. Your garden always yields the most magical items, even a missing mug! It is as though the storm lifted up your garden and gave it a little (or a big) shake. Then it laid it back down for you to re-sort, restore and re-love. The same but different. I have no doubt you will improve the changes. A new season, unexpected yet lovely, you give us all inspiration. Many Blessings ~
Colette, you always express such beautiful & meaningful things that we all really need to think about. I'm sure most do & others are to busy with the madness going on in their own world. You are truly a blessing & I wish you many more adventures in your woodlands & sharing your beautiful little place to the world.💖💖🥰🥰👏👏❤❤🐶🐶💐💐
I love many things about your posts and your garden, but today, it came to me what I love best about acreage and garden. It is such a wonderful combination of a wild forest and mixed in you have so many different plants and have managed to shape some of them into such art. You have an artful garden. Some are topiaries and some are going somewhat wild. It is that mix that intrigues me. It is perfection. You and Mother Nature have created perfection. Happy Solstice to you and your Patsy girl! I plan on building a fire in my garden on Saturday night and dancing in the moonlight.
Dear Collette thank you for your inspirational videos, you are a kindred spirit! It is wonderful to see that we are not alone! in our feelings about the state of the world! To pull myself out of this dark mood. Now I get up very early every morning and spend three hours every day writing emails and letters to Politicians, World Leaders, the United Nations and those of us who fight for Democracy! I sincerely believe we can make a difference! There is a saying," One tiny drop of water can turn into a Mighty Ocean" Nature is so comforting, inspirational and healing for the soul. Just this morning I saw a tiny rabbit in the snow munching away on a rose my friend had given me! What a joy! There is joy in the world as well as Hope. Love to all!
I can't hardly wait too see the finished product , especially when they are all blooming. No doubt , the most beautiful acreage in the world . Blessings too you and Patsy .❤❤
Thank you, Colette, for sharing your honest and raw emotions. I feel very upset, at times, too. I just quit a job I felt trapped in, starting a new narrative for myself. Just another change in my 47 years. Your garden comes about beautifully, with the beloved blackbirds, and all. Take care, and blessed be, happy solstice for you. ❤
Ahh, I love Mourning Doves and seeing a couple is so nice to see knowing that they have each other 😊love the new garden -- i would love to garden all year but i tend to finish what I can by 1st week November and start up again around or near the 2nd week of April...thank you for sharing
Dear Colette- Not unusual but I was especially touched by your podcast today! The state of the world, the need for balance and the beauty of this moon. I am writing from North Carolina and also stopped to take in the magical beauty of THIS moon- something about just spoke to my heart. Wishing you joy and peace❤
Thank you for reminding me. A good day to celebrate. After the shortest day of the year, the days start getting longer ever so gradually. I love these visits to your garden woods & home. So much to my taste if I had the property. Good job creating your paradise. ❤
The world is a better place watching your videos Colette. Thank you for making them as they bring much joy. From a 🇬🇧subscriber who also loves to work in her garden. ❤
Yes, the world seems chaotic at the moment, something we can't control, but can control our space around us. Working in and with nature is so rewarding.

There is something magical no matter the season when working in the garden. It's like the winter season calls you out to it and directs you to what it needs. Whether that is pruning chopping or relocating a plant or tree. Until I started watching you, I never saw the mirrored cycles between Mother Earth, the seasons, and myself. Not being one for the winter season, I must say I am beginning to see its beauty and have a longing to be outside more. Winter is a cold and painful season for me physically. It is true that each season has a special beauty and casts a unique enchantment upon us. Once we realise this, our lives take on a certain magic that is an essence child like.
Storm Dar... was venting wrath upon all Europe.... and three Russian oil tankers sunk in the Black Sea! Wales was hard hit too! Sweeping away the old, washing clean, making way for creation! Renewal! It is so good to see little Patsy so happy! and your incredibly beautiful garden.
I, too get excited to work out in the yard this time of year when the sun shines & the temperatures are cool. This is the best time to do heavy hard scaping & get things in the ground. I removed quite a few potted plants by planting them in the ground this year. Have a wonderful Solstice!
I quite agree Collette, this world is in such a sorrowful state. Being able to live on land like you, I feel that it lets me feel into what our world has in relation to beauty. Love what you are doing from the Darragh damage . Mother Earth will be what saves us all so we that can need to do what we can to help it. ❤🙏 Much love from Australia
My storm is just arriving. My best friend was transferred to hospice today. The dark mother has called her to walk her last few steps to the center of the labyrinth. Her patron goddess Cerridwen will be there, smiling. The beauty of this storm I have yet to truly appreciate. But the clarity that Death affords will be my companion as I rise to Imbolc. It is truly the strangest gift. Thank you Dark Mother for your mystery.
You are made in the image of our Creator, as am I. Joy comes when we do what He created us to do. So happy you are creating again! Blessings to you too! ❤ Thank you for sharing your amazing handiwork! ❤❤❤
Thank you Colette and friends. Happy Solstice to you - yours Winter - ours Summer. Wish we had some of your season and moderating rain to allay the bushfires. Woodlands and gardens, arid lands and oceans, always evolving, independently and with supportive creative energy of mother-earth and ocean loving folk. Such a sad and tragic state of so many parts of the world. Absolute arrogance of greed and stupidity. Q :What is the difference between intelligence and stupidity? A: There is a limit to (human) intelligence. We are blessed if we are geographically far enough away from the turmoil, where we can attempt to create natural sanctuaries of peace and beauty. From Annie Martha, and JanLouise via Marcie
❤ Thank you Collette and Patsy for bringing some positivity to my day! You are a pure joy. Regarding your cup you recovered, hope you Will use it as it will be so wonderfully charged after all this time in the ground. Im in a beautiful village in Wales and I need a kick in the breeches as im not utilising the magical land around me as ive felt swamped by the crazy😢 I need to break the stranglehold as you have done. X
It takes a concerted effort to break free from the stranglehold of chaos, but we must always remember that chaos itself is energy that we can and should always transform into creation.
Wow looking at that last pic from the video it really shows just how much cutting back you have done. It's such fun to make changes and figure out what should go where with a new idea. I too am looking forward to the solstice. These early evenings and late mornings are hard to take. I've been busy though figuring out where there are bare spots in my beds that need something added in and making notes about divisions to take and where to put them. It's so much fun to envision a new look.
I'm just amazed at you being able to garden this time of year. Love that rock border around your plants. Love the blue color of your cottage- it looks like a Watercolor of Mermaid colors with such a variance of beautiful "iridescent" color. My Bohemian Grandmother used to bag up her leaves in the fall to put around her trailer to insulate it for the winter. My Dad would till them into her garden in the spring and she had the blackest, most beautiful soil I've ever seen. It's my bucket list dream to get enough trees to grow on my property to get enough leaves to have soil like hers (and yours).
I love Mother Earth. When we step back into her world, we realize she has always been there for us. She provides and reminds us that we are her children......and the False world we've been programmed to believe in...can only do harm. Mother Earth is patient and needs us to step back into her world of magic and enchantment 🌙 ✨ ☮
Hello Colette from our New Hampshire 🌲🌲❄❄🌲🌲 woods. The hemlock trees are surrounding me with vibes of their Creator. Comforting and frosted with snow. I'm all for returning to the original Garden of Eden before the snake arrived on the scene. New Heaven/ New Earth. God does do good work and like yourself, I am watching humanity take it all down. I am grateful to be turning 75, having been a part of The Mother Earth Movement to this day. Going " back to the land" has been a Godsend for us. Living by your own hand is hard work, but doable, as proven by our ages. I'm the youngest. My husband will turn 80 in 2025 and my brother-in-law will turn 77. If we can do it... need I say more. And look at what you have accomplished Colette in 20 year's time. One woman with a plan.Think what could happen if more folks decided to go back to the land in earnest. Just dreaming a bit. Most states in the USA have programs through their agricultural colleges. We have UNH. Then there are the Farm Bureaus and my favorite, The County Extension Service. These are not best kept secrets. They are available for free to anyone who requests information on living off the land. We have the Farm Bureau and local Extension Service work with us all the time to help us manage our wood lot/hay fields/cattle. Merry Christmas Colette ~ Diane
What a lovely crackling garden fire, we can almost smell it. I used to have an allotment. Making fires (and Potash fires) is one of life's pleasures. I have no access to a garden now.
Colette you really are so clever to burn coppiced wood. I heat my house with wood as well, and I know how much work splitting wood is, and it just makes so much more sense to burn wood that grows rapidly rather than oak plus you don't have to take the whole old growth tree down. I will tell you what takes a long time to dry is a giant oak tree. We have a load that was cut last year and it is still soaked on the inside. I wish people would listen to other points of view occasionally.
The real world of Nature is our Paradise lost and yes, it is upsetting to think of the human devastation. A good thing some of us can/want to return and join Mother Earth and all of her other children.
I was reading "Bealtaine Cottage Guide to Deep Midwinter " book in the early morning today. Lovely book, Collette. Thank you. It is a beautiful time of year to work in the garden. Accessing Mother Nature's house cleaning and clearing the fallen limbs is an enjoyable activity. (for me) Blessings to All as we approach Solstice and beyond. ❤
When so many of us are manically busy destroying around the globe, it is of extra importance that others of us are keeping the light, are creating! In these times I keep thinking of the monks at Linisfarne and other remote locations keeping the light going during the dark ages. Are we the monks now keeping the light? (Note there is no religious connotation there, it's not a religious light per say I'm thinking of, but a keeping the light of knowledge going.)
@@bealtainecottageI would definitely say you and your channel are acting as a modern day Lindisfarne monk, keeping the light and the knowledge alive, creation in a time of destruction in quiet corners and quiet places. My heart aches for my poor young adult nieces who are just starting adult life and are both very thoughtful and sensitive beings and are tangibly feeling the darkness creeping and asking me my advice on coping/acting and I suggest to them to focus on ways to keep the light, the good, going in their own personal lives....very Lindisfarne....until the wheel turns again towards a brighter more hopeful time. It will turn. Light will come back. In the meantime we take care to keep the flame, the light going in our own spaces. You and Bealtaine Cottage....and many of your subscribers here, I would definitely put in that category! Thanks to YOU! 🙏

Hiya Colette. Bright blessings to you and your darling Patsy xx
Thank you Colette,for such a beautiful video🦋
The new bed looks terrific Colette🤗💚💚
Blessings to all and Patsy and happy Solstice 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤❤❤
I, too get excited to work out in the yard this time of year when the sun shines & the temperatures are cool. This is the best time to do heavy hard scaping & get things in the ground. I removed quite a few potted plants by planting them in the ground this year.
Have a wonderful Solstice!
I quite agree Collette, this world is in such a sorrowful state.
Being able to live on land like you, I feel that it lets me feel into what our world has in relation to beauty.
Love what you are doing from the Darragh damage . Mother Earth will be what saves us all so we that can need to do what we can to help it. ❤🙏
Much love from Australia
Colette your beautiful and yes the world is majical and beautiful.... ❤☘️☘️☘️☘️
The mystery of the circle of life and always moving towards the light.
The moon has indeed been extraordinarily beautiful and has risen in the most northern degree in 19 years. Happy Solstice to you and yours.😊
You are made in the image of our Creator, as am I. Joy comes when we do what He created us to do. So happy you are creating again! Blessings to you too! ❤ Thank you for sharing your amazing handiwork! ❤❤❤
I call that divine inspiration !
Another lovely video! I am inspired by the rock wall.
Blessings to you colette , beautiful video

So very true and so very upsetting.
I've had a hard week with my lil pup being sick, so was very happy to see this pop up! Happy Christmas to you and Patsy ❤
Hope all is well now 🙏
@bealtainecottage thank you! She's in recovery thankfully ❤️
I absolutely love your creativity, the great woods you have brought to life!! I will be celebrating Soltice with my dear friends 🥰🩵💙🌝⭐️💫🎼
Have fun!
Your hair looks amazing, Colette! Loving the tousled look - it really suits you. 😊
Thank you so much 🙂

Happy Solstice Colette!🌿
Same to you!
Blessings to You & Patsy.❤
Happy Solstice Collette and all! ✨️🌍🌎🌏☀️🌟🔥❄️🇨🇦🎅🧦
It was amazing to realise that the storm brought with it such a lot of new energy that was missing in my life.
Beautiful video as always! Happy Solstice to you and Patsy.☀️🌚🐕
All I have to do is leave the leaves where they fall in the woodland and only clear them from the gravel around the cottage.
And Merry Christmas to you, Diane and all your family XXX
Loving the transformation
Looking great!
Merry Christmas to you & Happy New Year 🌲🎉🥳❤️🌲
Thank You!
A, I love your doves ❤
What a lovely crackling garden fire, we can almost smell it. I used to have an allotment. Making fires (and Potash fires) is one of life's pleasures. I have no access to a garden now.
It is indeed!
Hi 👋 Collette and Mrs patsy!!
I think it may be the only way forward for humanity.
@@bealtainecottage And Happy Solstice to you & Patsy 🌞
hi colette i just dont no were you get all of your energy from ,make sure you also have plenty of rest to love watching you and patsy .xx
Thank you, Janice! My energy comes from a combination of things but mostly from being a very determined woman!
My word Collette its opened up abit.
Just a little bit of info, my Soltice son was born on 20 Dec, and my Soltice daughter was born on 21st June. Rather special blessings I think.
Magical children, such a blessing.
Wonderful! Happy Solstice xxx
What do you have said Mike really resonates with me! Thank you🙏
@@bealtainecottageI would definitely say you and your channel are acting as a modern day Lindisfarne monk, keeping the light and the knowledge alive, creation in a time of destruction in quiet corners and quiet places. 🙏
OOOh, a lovely "hair cut and trim" to start the coming new year. Just a thought Colette, I suspect you've always been a woman ahead of her time. ;) xx
I LOVE YOU!
Hi madam ❤❤ the place your sitting today is very beautiful ❤❤❤ it's really really beautiful ❤❤your puppy is also near you today ❤❤❤ it's really nice❤❤ outside might be cold ❤❤ lovely speech ❤❤
Thank you so much 😊
@bealtainecottage welcome ma'am, anything for you ❤😊
❤❤❤
I try to be optimistic about the future so I plant and plant and plant.
Hi Collette, what is the name and brand of the colour paint on your cottage outside? ❤
It was my own mix, but it is recorded to a certain degree in the videos I made about painting the outside of the cottage.
@@bealtainecottagethat explains the beautiful depth of blue, a fabulous backdrop against all the lush plantlife ❤
Cute dog on his load ofpillows
Hi Colette, How do you keep crows from taking all the bird feed , I wish you a peaceful and blessed Christmas ,Anne ,Athenry, ,
I think the oats I put out for the birds are a little bit too fiddly for them. They don’t seem to make the effort to go to the bird table.
🥰🥰
Patsys cute XOXO
The content of the videos you put out is quite interesting however, your constant silly unnecessary laughter is very annoying. It does not add to the quality of the videos.
Haha 😛 I love your sense of humour!
Erm…haha!
How dare you make such a nasty comment about Colette's laughter! It is people like you who create hate in the world! Her videos bring thousands of people Hope. and Joy!
Thank you Jennifer! Laughter is needed in this world today and as the old sign goes laughter is the best medicine!
