also can't wait for you to do another one of these live q&a's again I missed the last one lol love that your doing these for your community of subscribers!
Hey Vince, I have been watching your videos for over a year now and they have offered me so much comfort in the face of this daunting case I’m dealing with. After a year of no information after filing my EEOC charge they finally got back to me today saying they would just issue me a right to sue letter but wouldn’t investigate my case. I’m scared because I’ve been trying to find an attorney this whole time and many of them have taken complete advantage of me. All the while the company I worked for has ensured that I don’t get another job. Idk what to do I just want them to stop, so I can try and take care of my family again. I would really like to know how I can package as you say my case to make it more appealing to an attorney. Can you help me in any way? Thank you and good bless🙏🏾.
Hey Vince! Just wanted to reach out and update you on my case! I reached out to your firm and they looked at my case and chose not to represent me (more than likely because I live all the way in New Mexico), but a firm in california did! I'm being represented by the Westmoreland Law Firm! The agency I work for is currently trying to schedule an appropriate date for mediation between my lawyer and the agency (defense). I filed an EEOC charge on the basis of race and gender discrimination, and am seeking compensation solely for emotional distress. I cannot pursue punitive damages even though I have evidence of retaliation from my CEO because I work for the federal government (Department of Health and Human Services) and cannot pursue wage based damages because I am still employed by DHHS. I have been seeing a psychiatrist for depression and anxiety because of the discrimination and retaliation I faced and am currently on depression medication because of this. I am curious as to what my lawyer may request in damages or what the agency may offer to me at mediation. DHHS is a government employer that has 500+ employees nationwide, so I figured that my damages could be in the 6 digit category (I was thinking of requesting $100,000 based on the past 2 years of hostile work environment I endured times my yearly salary (around $49,500). What are your thoughts on this? I figured I'd fill you in and it may be some great content for a future video! Thank you again I love your content, I've literally listened to this channel like a podcast to help prepare for mediation and possible litigation through the courts. Your awesome man! A prosperous and successful year to you and your law firm all 2025
Missed the live but hope you respond to this question. Can u give me your take on CFR 715.202? I applied for OPM Voluntary Early Retirement but changed my mind 2 weeks before the retirement date. I emailed the agency attorney (point of contact) 2 weeks in advance stating that I wanted to work. However, the agency did not respond and the retirement was effected. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
