@@Teabonesteak, Yes, and why do you have to be so rude about it? Honestly, there is no right or wrong way for Clairo to dress. She can dress however she wants, because it is her wardrobe. This applies to other people as well. I mean, I love 80's fashion too, but I love it on my own terms, not on anyone else's. Also, the original poster was intending to point out how generally pretty she looks, because she is pretty and always will be! 😊
It's cool that her picks are predicated on what she wants to talk about. So many young artists end up trying *way* too hard to appear unique on this show.
i was first in line at the van show and met her when she went in the venue, she talked to me and my friends about her interview with nardwuar that she did just then!
Why doesn’t this channel have more subscribers? I feel like I’ve been watching Amoeba for years! Also hearing Clairo talk about her music taste made me fall IN LOVE with her. I know we would get along so well! D,,;

The first time I went to Amoeba it was the one in San Francisco on haight, I was 16 at the time, about 12 years ago and my best friend was a huge MF Doom fan. As soon as I walked in I saw a KMD vinyl so I immediately bought it and gave it to him when I got back at school the next day. He was pretty excited and happy. I hope he still has it. Just a personal anecdote I remembered seeing that doom record.
You’re saying she looks like she was born between January 1st, 1980 and December 31st, 1999? Or she looks like someone who would have been an adolescent / young adult at any point in that time span?
Her old bedroom recordings 🙌🏾 🤤. brains a bus. Love that she’s into Lizzy mercier, madvillin and broadcast, YMO. I mean all her choices are golden. I use to listen to her SoundCloud playlist: “originals” all the time. About, 8yrs or so ago.
Can't believe she mentioned Akiko Yano, she's an amazing artist with literally no recognition in the West. Most of her music on TH-cam has very little views as well. Very cool!
@@votebakri I just stumbled upon this comment a year later- she was such a sweetheart! It was a meet and greet before her show in New York City. She's super down-to-Earth, very approachable. I know describing singers or actors as "just a regular guy/girl" happens a whole lot, but Clairo really just struck me as a normal girl who blew up and genuinely loves playing her music.
I’ve always had something against Clairo for some reason, but after naming Hope Sandoval and Harriet Wheeler as her main sources for inspiration, she’s alright in my book.
@@ninaschn5924 not everybody. Most people know the song "Fade Into You", but her whole catalogue with Mazzy Star and The Warm Inventions is underappreciated in my opinion.
@@sneekz07 That's not entirely correct. I just felt like she got so much hype from Pitchfork before her career even kicked off, all because she made a very unimpressive bedroom pop song "Pretty Girl", when there are so many more talented artists out there that get ignored. Legit though, the only reason she's got as big as she has is because her father, who's been a marketing executive for some very large companies, has pulled the right strings to get her there. It's pretty common knowledge. So I actually know a bit more about her than I originally let on. All I was saying is that it's nice to know she has good tastes in music.
