This is the scene in Human Highway (dir. Bernard Shakey & Dean Stockwell) where Booji Boy (Mark Mothersbaugh) gets some gas for the CAL-NEVA Nuclear Waste truck. :)
The fact that they were able to get the Legendary Russ Tamblyn into this shows the level of artistic respect these guys had from other artists that truly understood their concept.
Yeah, and Neil Young's neighbor in Topanga Canyon during the After the Goldrush days...his daughter Amber is an actress, was the star of Joan of Arcadia...I think Neil is her godfather lol...also Neil has a daughter named Amber as well

I'm wondering if Alex Cox's Repo Man (1985) was influenced by this. Also wondering why isn't the great Harry Dean Stanton, may he rest in peace, in this?
Understanding this unwatchable film the more I take it in segments. Uneasy watching the Hey,Hey,My,My, jam where Neil starts bashing Booji Boy's playpen with his guitar. Great jam of the song tho'!

"Computer Cowboy" from Neil Young's Trans album playing in the car that goes past. Some great songs on that album.
Keep this pinned to the Top, to Awesome
I got to see Devo back in the 80s, and Booji Boy was there!

Booji's second-favorite thing next to toasters.
loves that sweet, sweet gasoline
The 80’s was truly one of a kind.
I think it was started 8n 1977.
@@shaolin1derpalm 70’s we’re great too. I just miss the old times.
Proper music 💚🎧
Tim and Eric had to be influenced by this. It's amazing.
oh for sure lol
Tim and Eric probably watched alot of avant garde/new wave comedy shit back in their youth.
Nerdikins
I saw this when it came out
Still have it on VHS
In two minute shorts it’s great
But to sit and watch from start to finish
It’s grueling
It has a grain alcohol effect on the brain.
sorry to hear Booji Boy lost his mother
This kills me every time I watch it!… I heard Booji’s face melted!…
Booji tasting gasoline like wine
a con of sewer of gas o leen
Beyond strange!
Big Butt? Interesting, I always thought Booji Boy's mother had thick ankles
I was up for some 80's weirdness.
.....back to Linear Va!!ey! "Down go boom!"
I like this follow up to one of the best music videos ever made.
amen LOL
Russ Tamblyn and Dennis Hopper! Makes me wanna watch High School Confidential and Blue Velvet.
This is like David Lynch and Ed wood do.
hell yeah
Great comment
Is that Dennis Hopper as the fry cook?
You bet! :)
I've always wanted to see this film. Don't recall ever seeing it ANYWHERE,at least not where I live(Halifax,NS).

He was in "War of the Gargantuas," a couple of twin peaks almost as strange as Booji Boy. (Russ Tamblyn did not play either of the Gargantuas!)
I feel this draw back to this time... not sure if I'm drawn back to the womb or to 82
Those COE trucks are worth a small fortune these days.
booji boy ROLLIN in it
Neil is pictured with one -- maybe the same one -- on his ranch in a 1984 interview.
You shouldn't talk about your mother like that! "Oh, It's OK, she's dead now.. yeah."
Psyche doctor from Twin Peaks, I guess this was an early job for him.
Oh Its Ok. She's Dead Now
haha boogi boy is so cool ! love devo
booger boy LOL
marth mothersbaugh
moth motherball
This foreshadowing the disaster in Chernobyl
when are devo going to get kennedy center honors?
Hopefully that will never happen since such awards are mostly nonsensical propaganda issued by the MAN.
Is booji boy really "Basketball Jones" in disguise??
Good gas, you make it yourself?
bird gas for life
NICE TRUCK !!!!!
Oh boy, i love art
This is from the septic thoughts of Neil Young.
