    Great review Justin! The more I fly my Mobula6, the more I love it! The thing is really frikkin' capable for a 1s whoop. Crazy power to weight ratio. I set mine up with the Jazzmaverick 48khz esc firmware and get great flight times, like 4.5 mins cruising and 3.5 going balls out on 300mah. About 30 seconds more with a 350mah. Mine powerloops just fine with a 300mah battery, I don't think a 450 or 525 is gonna do it though. I really do love this thing though, fun as hell to fly. Great camera too! I also soldered on my own RX antenna to get a bit more range. Thinking about doing the VTX antenna, but it works ok as it is. Only real upgrade i'd do is move it over to a Meteor65 frame or maybe even an old Mob7 V2 frame. Oh yeah, and DryDrone! I DryDrone'd mine cuz I crashed it into the water bowl that had some electrolyte mix in it, freaked me out for a minute, but it survived. Now with the DryDrone I don't worry about any kind of water. Actually flew mine right thru the sprinklers today! hahahahahah Edit: OH YEAH, and for $86 bucks? 4 batteries included? You really can't go wrong.

    Thank you so much for this refreshingly positive review. Looks like a great little quad right out of the box. I put my Mobula 6 purchase on hold after seeing the recent reviews. But now I've decided to buy one! My Tinyhawk 2 needs a break. Lol

    Love mine....I have the 19000 kv model...had some problems out of the box getting it to connect to my Taranis X9D+, but once I flashed betaflight 4.1.1 I've had no problems....it's a great flyer indoors....haven't had a chance to get it outdoors here in Ohio yet....just too wet. I get somewhere around 4.5 minutes on a 300mAh (happy model and/or betafpv) and 4.5-5 minutes on a 333mAh Tiny Whoop battery ripping around the house. Love the Mobula6 and my Tiny Hawk II.....both great fun.

    I have the 25,000kv version also and I LOVE it. It is great I highly recommend it. I have had zero issues. I also have the 19,000kv motors separate which I have not tried yet. The 25,000 is just too much fun using the GNB 350mah. I am also running a project mockingbird tune on my Mobula 6. Get one if you can find one in stock. I got mine from RDQ they had some in stock recently.

    I saw a lot of reviewers saying that this drone is not the best for flying outdoor because the wind affects it a lot. In your opinion should I buy this drone if I want a drone to fly in my garden around trees ecc. During the summer or i should buy something bigger like a 85mm quad?
    PS. this would be my first fpv drone.

    It's a great quad, but I have problems with it, though I'm still going to persevere with it because it flies so nice.
    Issues I've found with mine:
    1) Do a CLI dump all when you get yours, because if you try to fly it with too low voltage (below 3v) there's a chance it will brownout and the EEPROM will get wiped, erasing all your Betaflight settings (but not the firmware) causing you to have to paste a CLI dump back in, and you'll have to rebind it. Mine lost its settings 3 times now.
    2) I've had some terrible range issues indoors in a certain location, RX loss and video loss when the signal was going through just two walls with lots of concrete & rebar.
    3) The VTX power output levels on mine appear to be wrong: 25mW = low power, 200mW = pit mode (no picture just 6 feet behind me and I'm using RapidFire), 500mW & 800mW appear to be good. I wish I knew someone with an ImmersionRC power meter to test mine to figure out what was going on.
    4) I bought another Crazybee F4FS Lite mainboard (FlySky) when I got the VTX power problem, it wouldn't bind to my T16's multimodule, I tried so hard I broke the top off the bind button. However it binds every time I try to my old Turnigy TGY-i10 transmitter (I short the bind button pins with tweesers).
    I bought the FlySky variant of Mobula6 for two reasons; the FrSky version was out of stock, and I have FlySky (Turnigy) transmitters as backup. My FlySky Mobula6 came with a FS82 RX and a note saying I can plug that in to the pre-wired plug if I'm having range issues with the onboard SPI receiver. I will be plugging that RX in today and doing some range tests to compare the SPI with the FS82.

    • @licensetodrive9930
      @licensetodrive9930 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Happymodel know about the issue, they even left a comment on an unlisted Mobula6 video of mine, which I'd only posted to RCGroups, that says:
      "Hello, can you share the dumps which fixed the resetting issues? So that we can put it on the community to help others ."
      There is no CLI dump or command which can fix the resetting issue that I know of, or I'd be posting it everywhere.

    Yes! I was waiting for this :D .
    I need a honest answer from you.
    I ordered the UR65 last week from Bangood, but now I kinda regret it cuz of the Mobula6 is popping up more and more.
    Im not and experinced pilot, im a beginner. I saw your QX65 VS US65 and wanted to go with brushless cuz of the motor last longer.
    The US65 has 19.000KV and UR65 has 17.000KV therefore I did orded the UR65 cuz of that reason lower KV motor.
    BUT the Mobula6 says it handles really good in the air. So my point is.
    Is Mobula6 for a beginner? And do I as a beginner feel the difference between 17.000KV and 19.000KV ?

    • @dronecamps
      @dronecamps  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Justin, thanks for your content. I bought a HM Larva X. Second flight, my ESC decided to crap out. I was really disappointed. I wouldn't buy a HM again simply from an everyday consumers view as I don't have money to burn like that. I guess it's hit and miss with them.

  • @JohnMark61355
    @JohnMark61355 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am not a Happy Model hater, but I spent a considerable amount of money on the HM Larva X HD and after a few flights with no crashes, the VTX quit mid-flight and I lost the quad, including a new battery and SD card. I usually buy BetaFpv, GepRC, and iFlight. The HM quality seemed poorer than these brands. While my experience is just an N of 1, I am hesitant to purchase another HM. With that said, the Larva X HD was very fun to fly and had great video for the this kind of quad and I may give HM another chance.
