Would have been more helpful if you provided the links for the the updated maps
1. The arm rest USB is the only one that ever worked for me in terms of updating the maps.
2. You can shut the car off when updating, and the update process will continue from where it left off. I've done that every time. I take two trips, shut the car down and it'll continue the update. You will not brick anything, especially your NBT system. The system obviously knows how to handle pausing the transfer, otherwise the dealers would be full of vehicles with bricked NBT's from simple map updates.

You can actually drive and stop and it will resume after you come back and continue driving. My mini(even though that is the CIC system) does this flawlessly. It takes me sometimes a few days to get the nav updated but you can use the old maps while the new ones are being uploaded and it keeps working in the background and eventually it will restart and you got a working nav with your new maps. It even continues your navigation it lifts over from your old nav if you were going somewhere

Everyone, the usb slot in the armrest 100% with zero issues at all. The usb in the glove box is an option, so not every F gen car has one.
Thanks, my 2014 520 F10 only has the one USB in the armrest. The update wouldn't take as the idrive in the car isn't the original. Should be Business nav and previous owners fitted Pro.
I would like to know the first half of the navigation map update process. How do you download the map into the USB drive?
I haven’t got a USB socket in my glove box on my 4 series F36…..🤷🏼♂️. So is the one in the arm rest still ok to use as it’s the only one I got? Please help!

My globebox usb doesnt work. Doesnt even read mp3 from flash, which normally works in center console. May I use fat32 or ntfs? Fat32 cant handle files bigger than 4 gigs, but map update has one file of 18 gigs size. Please help.

What about nbt evo map update.Do I need code for instalation and in which format USB must be formated ( FAT32 or NTFS)?

You can buy it directly from BMW for £50.... or look around online and find it for free if you do enough digging.

Can someone please help me here, I got a 2015 BMW X4 3.0D with NBT . I have road map Europe next 2015-2 map. I'm trying to update to Europe West next 2023-1 with USB. Extract files from computer to USB, plug usb in arm Rest center console ( no USB in glove box) and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong ?
