    *Extreme snow*
    15 cm of snow unusual to fall in UK
    The beast from the East (Siberia)
    *Braces*
    Teeth fixers ... trousers holder
    But here it means hold something strongly because something is gonna happen ..
    Like opening the exam results.
    To brace = to get prepared for something unpleasant
    *Relentless*
    Relent = stop
    Less = not stoppable
    May be for persons also
    *Engulfs* =covers completely
    By emotions
    In my blanket

    Thanks for dialogue. I hope to keep "braces", "relentless" and 'engulfs" in mind.

    I think old version of the show like this episode is more interesting and informative than newly made one.

    Hello! I hope i won't sound rude, but i really like the way BBC learning English team answer to those who criticise programmes...guys, it's a little bit unpolite! Try to remember you can learn something interesting without paying a penny and if the first time looks like an uphill battle don't give up! And if you don't like it, please, don't say nothing offensive! Would you like being offended by someone you don't know? Perharps, try to suggest stuff you'd want to see! Sorry for my relentless Slytherin tongue...i wish you a happy English learning to everyone! Thank you BBC for all the efforts in preparing and producing your videos! They're helping more than 1 million of international students understanding better your mother tongue!

    No subtitle. I don't need this video.

    • @bbclearningenglish
      @bbclearningenglish  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Kilbenni, thank you for your comment. I am sorry you feel that way. We offer subtitles on all of our programmes except ones which are published as live. If this programme is not to your liking, please have a look at another. However, it is also important to challenge yourself when learning... you cannot rely on subtitles for ever and there are no subtitles when actually talking to someone.
      Thank you again!

    Can I get subtitles?

    • @bbclearningenglish
      @bbclearningenglish  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Nam!
      Unfortunately, because this programme is 'as live' we do not offer subtitles with it. We include subtitles on all our other shows though. While using subtitles can be extremely helpful, try to challenge yourself once in a while and not use them. It is not easy, but it will improve your listening!
      Thank you for your comment!
