2024 TESLA MODEL 3 PERFORMANCE: HOW WELL DO LOWERING SPRINGS AND SPACERS WORK ON THE STOCK SHOCKS???

  • We finally got a chance to take some ZEV lowering springs from the older chassis and test them out on the active dampers found on the new 2024 Performance Model 3. There's no way we could lower the model 3 without coming up with a spacer package to make the oem 20" warp wheels sit nice and flush. Check out the package below: $1025.00 shipped!!!!

    I’ve been patiently waiting for these videos from you guys! Mine is strictly street use but I want the wheels flush factory height right now and plan to lower in the future once springs are specifically engineered for this. Guess I’m looking at two separate sets of spacers?

    Great video guys, thanks for the research and info. Once Sasha has all the shock info, hopefully we'll know what these new dampers are capable of. In regards to the spacers and Eibachs, obviously the wider track will effectively lower the wheel rate, thus making the springs feel even softer.

    Great video! My thoughts exactly. A bit softer on standard and about the same on sport. Super confused on shock travel because I hear shock travel is the same, but I definitely don't feel like I'm riding on the bump stops like I did on the 21.

      Better oem bumpstops. In fact the rear has 2 of of then that are separated by a floating “piston/washer”

    Great video. What size are the spacers you are running? I had H&R 14/17 on my 21 M3P and ill see how they look on my 24 M3P. I was looking at lowering 1.5 with UP springs. Wonder how ride with factory dampners will work that low. Heard works better then stock but hard to believe.

      Those should work fine depending on how you dial in your rear camber.

    BTW Do you know anything about how to fit phone holder to the 2024 model 3 performance? (on the rear of the front seat).
    Driving for vacation monday, but the phone holder from the older 3/Y style I dont think can slide under the new rear front seat cover? It seems way more tight and intertweened?

    • @zevcentric

      It can but you cannot control the active dampers since it lacks the software and harnesses.

      @@PhucNguyen-tj2wc it actually rides better than the OEM springs but is still very planted and handles really well. These are softer spring rates than the oem springs.

    What is the ground clearance with the springs? And H&R 14/14-is that possible? For me, it pokes out too much. Thanks for the video and info.

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@calvorota74 thats very relative. Depends what part of the car you are measuring but the springs should lower the car about 20mm front and rear with your specific alignment values. We have a recipe for the spacers on the website. Since we have 2 piece rotors it pushed out the wheels an extra 5mm. If you order on the website it will be like what you want. This is similar to 20mm front and rear on stock brake rotors.

    • @zevcentric

      We have beat the crap out of our pack casings at the track and never had an issue. Lower away. What you need to protect are the coolant lines in the front wheel wells.

      We have 2 piece rotors which push it out 5mm extra. That wont be the case on a stock rotor. The website has all this calculated and accounted for when you choose the correct package.
