Yes it's tied with calle 23 criollo, those are my highest blancos at this time, but there are others that are just a hair under it. The great ones are all neck in neck...it really doesn't even matter at that point

It's herbal, so if you like that, you'll be fine. It's really good I love criollo agave... hence the high rating. Keep in mind that there are many many others of my favorites, that are right there with it.. just a hair away
I just picked up a couple of bottles that were hidden in the back of the top shelf in a local store. $129 each, tonight it will be sipped and enjoyed.

Can you rate them? Starting from the blanco to this one.
In case you don't use TMM, my ratings on TMM for the products, including the single barrel and including the XA D'Antaño, are B- 90, R-86, A-87, 70th blanco-95, XA-93, SBXA-90

It's very good, but the more I drink it, the more herbal and earthy it gets for me, although there is a nice sharp sweetness in it. I love it, but as Criollo agave go, I would take the Calle 23 by a hair, as I find it more sweeter, fruitier and citrusy

No idea at all. Once mine is gone, which I opened for the review, I have no more and don't anticipate really finding any in any store where I live. Of course I will continue to do Raffles on Facebook, which is how I acquire most of these things, so I hope I get another one someday

Would you say this along with Fuenteseca 2018 and Cascahuin Cerró de luz are the absolute best? Have one of each on contemplating which one to open for the holidays.

Yes all three are amazing, but I would add Ocho Punta's,Widow Jane, Wiild Common, kokoro and a whole bunch of other really amazing Tequilas at the moment
I just bought this bottle two months ago in my beloved hometown of Atotonilco el Alto to go with my Single Barrel.
Speaking of Single Barrel, do you know, by chance, if Siete Leguas Single Barrel is coming to town (the US)?
Also, have you had Don Nacho Blanco?
Your hometown is absolutely gorgeous, I loved every second I was there. I have the Single Barrel that was given to me by Siete Leguas with my name etched in it as a gift, when I went to visit them, which was an honor. I really love the D'Antaño the best, and I dont know if the Single Barrel is coming to the US.
No.. I haven't had Don Nacho, but I've always heard it was a good solid low priced option

About the same. Calle was little lighter and maybe sweeter, and this was more herbal, which makes sense considering the processes they use

Always wondered what your top 5 blancos are.
Well it changes all the time as new products come out, but of the presently sold Blancos I'd say: Calle 23 Criollo, Wild Common 100 pr, Siete Leguas Decadas, Caballito Cerrero, Fuenteseca Cosecha 2018...followed very closely but many others- Google 'Lou overall tequila' for my full list

Hey Lou, who else would you recommend that makes tequila out of the same type of small agaves? I’m in Australia and don’t think any of that juice is gonna make it here.

I think Old Town tequila is taking orders or it could just be for the VIP customers at this time. Probably Sip Tequila will have them, as well as others. I'm sure if you Google it you'll be finding it soon.

Right, but it's just getting into the US now, so they may not have have it available yet, but they probably will. I know people are already going on a special list at Old Town so if you call them and ask for Zack or Roman his son, you could probably get on a waiting list. Once this hits, it's going to be in liquor stores, especially specialty shops, without a doubt

To put things more in line with all my ratings on TMM, I'm adjusting this to a 95, which is ridiculously high.
Siete Leguas Decadas was king for a day; Calle 23 Criollo holds onto its crown at 96. 😁

Thank you but I don't think I'm ever going to need to go higher than a 96. I'm normally very conservative with my ratings unless a product is extremely amazing. I appreciate your support

Yes not cheap, but this is a specialty tequila made similar to how it was produced 70 years ago

Lou... You sound like your reviews from Siete are bias from the hospitality and gifts they given you, I don't think a Blanco is worth $130
Really huh, well that's your opinion. I've always loved siete leguas. If you followed me for a long time, you'd know that, but whatever you want to believe. I don't love high Blanco prices either, but everything's going up if you noticed. Haven't heard too many other people complain about it, as it's a great Blanco with a great presentation. I think it's a bit herbal for me and earthy personally, and in my comments I mentioned I lowered the rating to keep it in line. I prefer Criollo as a Criollo based agave tequila.

I know, I wasn't happy to hear that. This is going to become commonplace, and we all know these brands are not going to charge us less for less juice.. which definitely sucks
I wish we could buy tequila without it being altered. I feel like it tastes way better in Mexico.
