Pretty good for a non addictive tequila. I’m impressed. I like taking a few sips straight then combine 1oz with 1oz of 1800 anejo makes an outstanding margarita.

Xicala is a nice mezcal brand. I also like Burrito Fiestero, Sombra, Amantes' aged mezcals, & some Derrumbes. It's complex in its own way & I don’t think everything needs to be super complex to be good & enjoyable.

Respect & love Fortaleza. Saw Winter Blend 2024 today for $500 pre-tax (it would be over $560 after tax). For a reposado. Special, yes. Still an easy & hard pass. Fortaleza's normal line is worth a bit more than MSRP, but not $100+ for a regular blanco & on up from there. Winter Blends are reasonable up to maybe $150-200 depending on the specific batch, particularly since not all of them are honestly that great, IMHO. Anything above that is just feeding the machine.

Yeah, this stuff is a hangover in a bottle. I tried it years ago, back when Sammy still owned Cabo Wabo and I had recently had my eyes opened to good tequila and was loving the classic Cabo Wabo. It was introduced to me as another 100% agave tequila I should try that’s much cheaper and just as good. Lunazul tasted like gasoline and I hated myself the next morning. Good call Lou!
