Agree on The Troggs album. It's basically a US comp of their singles, most of which got scarce regional only airplay. I guess that's why they gathered them together in LP form, hoping for potential sales around the country in pockets where some of those singles were heard - along with the title track which went national. The company (Fontana/Mercury/Philips) did the same thing around that time with Manfred Mann's Mighty Quinn album and also Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich Greatest Hits. All 3 albums are keepers for me.
The Troggs album is better than I remembered. I liked it when I played it before but it kind of blew me away at how much I liked it. I remember my parents bought The Manfred Mann Album. The only song I liked was Do Wah Diddy Diddy. I’d most likely love the album now.
I got my copy of Relics signed by Joe Boyd a few weeks back when I met him. He looked pretty confused when I asked him to sign it, I'm not sure he understood what he'd had to do with it. He's pretty old. Happy new year.
Nice Mummies album, I would like to get more of their albums, I only have one, but they are pricey! That Parliament album is next on my list. I wonder if that Troggs album is available in true stereo or true mono, I only ever see the one with the text Electronically Reprocessed For Stereo, but either way, it's a great album. Love that photo of the Stones on the back cover of the Got Live if You Want It album, it was like their first foray into psychedelia, that thankfully didn't last long! I have a bootleg DVD of the Stones at the Marquee, apparently, it was filmed for a TV special, but never aired. Thanks for the link to my video, and hope you and your family have a fantastic new year Richie, take care.
Great records. You sure were jumping around. I do same. Always watch your shows but sometimes I get lazy and don’t comment. Take care enjoy your channel Richie . Happy new year. Art
All the best to you and your family for 2025! Love Is All Around is a favorite of mine. Got Live If You Want It was the first Stones record I bought, I was 11 years old! Take care.
Quite a jump from Pink Floyd to Parliament....the only things in common are they start with the letter "P". But that's the best way to listen to music, jumping from one style to another, at least in my opinion. "Relics" is a great album, a compilation of mostly songs that didn't appear on any album prior to it's release, yet it works quite well. Love that Parliament album too.
At a young 15 year old when I got the Columbia Club record of the month because I didn’t sent in my card I was puzzled with Dr Funkenstein. What the hell was this? I put it on the turntable ( it was one of those all in one type units like a Crosley, and was blown away. I became the biggest and probably only Parliament fan in small town NE. I have grown to love the Barrett era of Floyd, whimsical but fun
Nice. Just on Xmas Day Eve I put on the German press of relics because my daughter was visiting and she is a floyd nut at this time in her life. Is definitely a good time
Last night I listened to Look It’s The Moonglows by The Moonglows, A Space In Time by Ten Years After, Shaved Fish by John Lennon, and Everybody Slides, a stunning collection of blues slide guitarist’s on Rykodisc. Love your channel brother!
The Troggs album is listed on discogs at a pretty cheap price. Looking at the track listing, it's almost an A's & B's side 45 compilation. One of the best U.K. "garage" bands, with some great b-sides on their 45's, with a lot of them being non-LP tracks. The albums are a little patchy, but the singles... One of my fave bands. I remember seeing them on "Top Of The Pops", a U.K. T.V. show, back in the 60's.
A pretty heady listen, Richie. Groovy! I have The Troggs' debut LP, and it's a little menacing in places I find. I haven't listened to 'Got Live...' in a long time. Mono all the way. 😎🎶 Ed.
Hey Richie. Great selections! Love your X-mas treat to yourself The mummies! Love that Pink Floyd album. I saw Parliament at the Palladium. Happy New Year! Cheers
Hi Richie. Loved this video! Roberto Carlos is a Brasilian singer, who is Huge there! My wife is from Brasil, and my mother in law, absolutely loves Roberto Carlos!!! Happy New Year, my friend!
Everyday is an opportunity to learn something. Today I learned who Roberto Carlos is. I’m answering the comments on this video late but I want to wish you and family Happy New Year.
Hey Richie! Yes, so true on “Every day is a opportunity to learn something” Hope to learn about other artists, that you share. Happy New Year, to you and your family, as well. Keep up the good work!
Rock on. Rock on. I am listening to Pat Benatar on compact disc. I ordered "Crimes of Passion" and "Get Nervous". Got three Hawkwind on the way that i used to have on album. Well, actually just two of them. Cant wait!
@vinylrichie007 yes!! I have a VHS player. Pick up the The Cramps bootleg called, god bless The CRAMPS. It one of the best sounding bootleg records I have ever heard.
Happy New Year Pat. All the best......Yep the Stones. I have a couple of copies of that Got Live if you want it album. I don't recall it being too screamy out of one speaker so I guess their both mono. I've two of those Stones from the vault albums but both are from gigs in the 90s I'd love to grab the one you showed. I seen the Stones in 72 & 75 and there was a big difference between Mick Taylor Stones and Ronnie Wood Stones. It was still The Stones but the band had changed. They were missing something I can't put my finger on even after wondering about for all these years. later Gator....
The first time I saw the Stones was 75. They weren’t fantastic. I saw them again in 80 or so. They were a lot better but kind of sounded like a Garage band playing in a stadium. The last time I saw them was in 89 and they were top notch. Guns and Roses were the opening band and they again reminded me of a Garage band in a stadium. I love 60s Stones but live they were the best when Mick Taylor was in the band.
Pat, this is a great little video when you talk about listening to Syd Barrett and it derails the Pink Floyd that’s lined up. You have to reconfigure what you listen to. I need to pull out my copy of got live if you want it. I don’t if I have stereo or mono. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

"Live At Merlins Music Box"... with the same kinda piped in crowd noises, but much heavier sound... truer punk sound. Three people died on the same day/ same year... Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson... and Richie Marsh. The day will always be remembered as the day that Sky Saxon died to me... Cheers!
@@GeeAitch-r1r I love the Seeds but I would call them Garage. Slower and fuzzier. I don’t like the Live at Merlins. I have it on CD with and without the fake crowd noise. I thought I would really like it without the crowd but it lacked the punch I thought it would have. The Mono version of Got Live is so good. It doesn’t have all the non stop screaming.
I just realized “Lionel Richie” rhymes with “Vinyl Richie”. There, that’s the comment. 😜
