Dusty, for every 1 person that is outraged about the wheelchair comment, there are 10 of us that understand that this is a COMEDY podcast, and we appreciate you
One out of Ten is pretty askewed. It's more like one of thousands. And they're only offended because it pertains to them particularly. Everything else is fair game in their eyes. Forget those people..
Part of what makes the Nateland universe great is that there are boundaries to what Nate will allow. You can’t say “It’s just comedy” to everything and Nate lets it on. What made the disability comments not funny is that they were punching down which is something Nate has talked about being a cheap comedy trick. I think Dusty getting defensive is what blew it out of proportion. Like I said last time, the comments Dusty *and Aaron* made just made me like Best in Show Bates more.
I have been waiting for an episode of "Utah." I have lived here most of my life, although I am proud to say I am a native Tar Heel. My wife and I had the opportunity a couple of weeks ago to see Nate at the Delta Center where the Utah Jazz play. This was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I am disabled and probably won't be able to get out as much in the near future. Due to these circumstances, seeing Nate will most likely be the last big event I attend - it was worth every second. Thank you, Nate. It was truly amazing to see the huge crowd that showed up for a matinee because the show was added. We loved the show and appreciate the incredibly hard work Nate and his fellow Comedians put into their craft. Thanks to everyone on Nateland, you guys are the best.
1:00:14 Alex’s laugh after hearing Brian’s worst joke, “Shingle Ladies” 😂😂😂 Then Dusty throws in “If you like it then you better put some cream on in” 🤣🤣🤣
I know some people are frustrated with how much Nate has been gone lately, but I am so thankful he had the foresight to add a 4th co-host to enable the podcast to continue in his absence. Otherwise he probably would have had to end it altogether by now, considering how busy he is. Thanks, Nateland Team, for being so diligent in providing us these laughs every single week!!
When my wife and I were getting ready for our honeymoon, I was excited to share my favorite audio mystery series with her. The entire honeymoon, whenever we would drive a while, I would turn on a mystery and she proceeded to fall asleep (quickly) every time. Fast forward to vacation in Utah, we were driving across the desert, so I turned on Nateland to keep myself entertained. To my surprise, she enjoyed listening to it. I mean, she still fell asleep, just slower than normal. That's a 5-star podcast review if I've ever heard one. I hand delivered this comment to Dusty at his Columbus show and now it seems even more relevant with the Utah episode.
Speaking of Utah and the olympic torch; for the 2002 winter games in Utah, the torch was run through the center of town by various local celebrities, and the route went right past my work. One person who ran with the torch was the owner of the Utah Jazz (Larry H. Miller). Well he apparently didn't use the restroom prior to running his part, and he stopped at my work to use our restroom. I unknowing walked into the restroom to use the urinal, and standing right next to me was the owner of the Utah Jazz, dressed in his olympic outfit holding the torch in one hand, and peeing in the urinal next to me. I'll never forget that moment as long as I live.
Oh to be a fly on the wall of that writers room with Nate and a group of Ivy League graduate comedy writers, I bet it’s like Nate having 5 Aaron’s around him at all times starting every sentence with “well actually….”. Cant wait for that episode and the foo fighters are playing too, should be a great one
I watched this week’s episode while having Strep throat. When talking about “all the shingle ladies” and Dusty said, “if you like it then you should have put some cream on it”, I had to pause the show so I could laugh uncontrollably (which was quite painful with Strep), which ultimately turned into uncontrollable coughing. Once I got it together, the cycle just repeated itself. #WorthIt I love you Dusty!
Being a native “Utahn”, it’s strange to listen to an episode about my state. Fun fact, Gary Coleman lived in a little town called Santaquin…he lived roughly three blocks from us; we’d see him around town and at the bowling alley. Anywho, there is so much to Utah. You could spend a lifetime exploring the entire state. Love it here!
Hello folks, and hey, bear. Congratulations to Nate and ya’ll on the SNL gig! I started listening about 6 months ago, and wish that I knew about Nateland when it launched. I look forward to listening every week, and always literally laugh out loud many times throughout the episodes. The ever changing group dynamic’s lately make it even more enjoyable. Dusty explaining that he was not railing against wheelchairs, but against Southwest is pure vintage hilarity. Get it! Keep on showing up and bringing the good stuff!
As a native Utahn I can confirm that you definitely get used to the mountains just being there all the time in the background. It makes it hard to tell your sense of direction when you travel to other places though.
I have been 3-4 episodes behind for far too long, but when I saw Alex Velluto was on I had to hurry and binge listen to the others! Loved him since his very early Dry Bar, great to see him on with my other favorite dudes. 👏
Hearing Dusty talk about how great of a swimmer he is makes me think we need a Nateland Remote division on Nateland Entertainment. We could see Dusty at the pool, Brian at an airport, Nate at McDonalds and minivan karaoke with Aaron. Thanks for the laughs guys
Dusty... on Dude's voice..."Nothing about your voice says DIY or construction to me. Maybe the plant department!" and then, " INDOOR plants." I'm DYING... 😂😂
I'll admit I came into this episode kind of expecting a lot of stereotypes and misinformation. But Breakfast really nailed his research here. I can't take issue with any of it! I enjoyed the episode and found a new comic to check out from my own back yard. Thanks for introducing me to Alex!
Dusty is the man! Love how his comments are hilarious and at the same time support the others. Brian's shingles joke is a great example. Also loved the rapport between Dusty and Alex. Very enjoyable podcast! And congrats to Nate!
Finally, the podcast has found its fourth member! The rapport was great and it’s fun to put some face and personality to the stories. Now, on to Aaron’s doppelgänger scape goat, y’all really weighted the room. Keep killing it guys!
I've been working my way up from episode 1 for almost a year and a half. I'm so relieved that I have finally caught up and don't have to chain smoke these episodes anymore
as a paralyzed wheelchair user, Dusty, you said nothing offensive. FYI, i’d LOVE to board last and get off first. we’re all learning… except the fakers!
Thanks for the shoutout, Dusty! I also think I should mention that the guy they were talking about who got banned from the club from “doing too good on the shows” is NOT me. I try to never do too good for that exact reason. Always just pretty good. 15:12
Kathleen Madigan should be a guest on the pod! She lives near Nashville, should be an easy ask. (also for those who don't know, Kathleen has her own podcast, it is on TH-cam and Spotify)
I don’t know if people are really hating on Dusty, but anything he does makes me laugh so much. I’m a huge fan and hope to see him live one day. Also, kudos to Nate being invited to host SNL. I’m so glad a clean comic is being invited to host.

Honestly, I cried when I found out St Louis was rescheduled because that meant my date night for next week went up in smoke!! But wow, what an exciting opportunity for Nate. Guess I know what I'll be doing the 28th even though I haven't watched SNL in probably 20 years!
This comment is a long time coming. But back at episode 30 or something Nate suddenly gained super hero level reading powers and pronounced my name perfectly. I’ve heard so many wrong pronunciations at this point it’s crazy to me that Nate got it straight up.
I know Alex! I have photos with him! He was a regular opener at Wiseguys in SLC. I've seen him perform at least 6-7 times. He's awesome and it's really good to see him on NateLand.

Alex has a great laugh, second to Greg Warren! Alex needs to be a repeat guest! I would love to see a podcast with multiple guests like Alex, Greg, Mike, Joe etc…❤
Brian Bates. Although I love Dry Bar, I bought a subscription just to watch your episode. I loved the whole thing but the Chick-fil-a bit had me absolutely dying!!
I enjoyed dustys explanation of why Utah is called the Beehive State way more than the real answer (I've listened to enough of this podcast to know that no one will remember, so I'll refresh your memories) He said it's because bees have one queen and lots of "husbands", like reverse polygamy. Hilarious.
I'm a longtime listener and Utah native, and I've gotta say I never thought I'd get to see a Utah episode! Great stuff guys! I loved it so much. I just have to clarify: You do have a "companion" with you on your mission, but you're not with the same guy the whole time. You get switched up after a few weeks or months. I did my mission in Illinois and had 10 companions over the 2 years.
The actor Josh Lucas does the narration for the Home Depot commercials and the more Alex talks, the more I hear the similarity. So good on you Branden.
I’m in a wheelchair (for real) and I’m on Dusty’s side! To expand, handicap parking, the handicap bathroom stall, handicap ramps. These things should exclusively be for people in wheelchairs. Y’all get stairs and stuff. Stay off of our stuff!
I woke up this morning and was so excited to see that finally the guys did a Utah episode, my home state. But of course, the first thing aaron asks alex is “what is the worst thing about utah?” I have waited 170 episodes for this. Come on, aaron.

Dusty… big fan! Hope you bring your standup to Vancouver one day! Can genuinely appreciate your opinion on wheelchairs, even sometimes personally needing one from my cancer battles. The simple solution is to not fly Southwest anymore. Don’t give them your hard earned money. The best way to show your beliefs or concerns to a company is by not using their services. You say that other airline companies don’t do it the same way with boarding procedures. Then use those airlines. Simple solution to your stress my friend. If you chose Southwest to save money, then those coast savings come at a price ie. priority boarding procedures. That’s my opinion. Cheers!
I appreciate you. Southwest has a hub here in Nashville so sometimes they have a direct flight when others don’t and I suck it up, but I don’t use them often
@@DustySlay that makes total sense! That is what I thought could be your specific case. Keep up on all your hilarious online content. You and Brian and Aaron and especially Nate have helped me stay strong during my dark days when your comedy brings me laughter at times that I need hope and optimism the most. Hope to see you in Vancouver one day soon. Cheers homie!
I love Nate, that's how I found this great podcast. No disrespect to Nate at all, but Brian, Aaron and Dusty have been killing it on this podcast in your absence! They don't need any coat tails to ride on. FYI, I did all the punctuation myself for this comment. Congrats on SNL Nate!
I brought my wife to see Nate for the first time at the Tulsa show, and when he came out her face lit up like I’ve never seen, and she cheered a little too loud. I didn’t care for that at all. I felt a little better after watching Nate’s first closer kinda bomb. Justice. Nah, it was a great experience and we love you guys! HEY BEAR!
Dusty, my daughter just got a compass for her 5th birthday. Even though I pronounce it come-pas, she says kom-pas. You wouldnt believe how much she says it and I think of you every time. 😂
Congratulations Nate so so happy for you. I was in the Drive through at the Bank when I found out your news. My car would not go out of Park and I had to wait holding up the line for help to come. I got the notice from Twitter and the people at the bank were not happy with me holding up the line but your news made it all go a bit nicer. So happy for you. Can't wait till the 28. I have watched Hello World 6 more times.
Hearing how Aaron is a connoisseur of Disney Channel Original Movies, I’d donate everything for A-Lister to do the “Hi, my name is Aaron Webber, and you’re watching Disney Channel” intro.
If Aaron carried the torch at the olympics the first thing i thought is he would have to pass the torch. It would have to be a short range baton race 😂 love you guys
Immediately noticed Aaron’s sweatshirt. We live in Texas and visit family in Oklahoma where Kum & Go’s are abundant. One trip our 9 year old was sounding out every sign we passed which caught us off guard. Me being a 33 year old man child, I laughed of course. Now everytime we hit the road, we are asked, “Can we stop at Kum & Go?”, which we respond “Maybe next time”.
So pumped to see Nate on SNL! Has he ever talked about skit ideas for that show? Have the rest of you guys ever had any funny ideas that could be an SNL skit?
speaking of race car driving as a sport, i have a friend who races Mini cars and he started running to help him get into better cardiovascular health and more fit to race better. It helped! Now he runs as much if not more than races, but he definitely would call it a sport since the more in shape you are, the better your endurance at a high heart rate and controlling the car, etc.

As someone who was born and raised in the Salt Lake valley, I appreciate this story.
Plus, let’s be honest, Miller controlled a lot of Utah but especially SLC. To this day, the Miller Group and Gail have many under their power.

The proud face by Brian Bargatze at 2:20 gave me life

I know a flight attendant who said it's shocking how many people need a wheelchair to get on a plane but don't need one to get off
When I was a Southwest flight attendant, we called those miracle flights.

I love how Aaron is on a podcast, where their job is to talk about things and somehow gets annoyed when the other guys talk about something.
My 12 year old daughter just said, "They sound so serious & tired reading ads." haha
HEY BEAR!
Lol. A lil' jealousy helps you stay focused on her 🎉❤
Dusty is 720p Handsome in a 4K world…he’s actually pretty fly and clean cut but you have to look real close to see it
I am stoked to know how many takes the sketches took. It will be his ad reading on whole different level 😂😂
You know a joke is funny when you’re retelling a joke about you telling a joke and it kills. I had to walk away from the table too
Hearing how Aaron is a connoisseur of Disney Channel Original Movies, I’d donate everything for A-Lister to do the “Hi, my name is Aaron Webber, and you’re watching Disney Channel” intro.
Dusty Slay "If you liked it you should have put some cream on it" LOL!!!
