A drone looks like a lot of fun and has been very tempting. I'm not sure it has much application in my backsmithing tutorials, but who knows. This however may just be the first drone I try out.
One of the biggest issues I run into is the frequent high wind warnings. If it gets any smaller, that will only get worse. I love this thing and don't think smaller would be better. For me, range and video settings are the main things I'd like to see upgraded.

You forgot to mention that it weighs 249 grams! In Canada you need a drone licence for drones over 250 grams! Saves people all the hassle and money it takes to get a drone pilot licence 😁 awesome video Pete as always! Big fan!

It's all about the 1" sensor on the mavic 2 pro IMO. That being said, this new mavic mini is awesome for someone who wants to fly drones without spending thousands. Can't wait to see how good the smaller drones are in the future!

Honestly, as a family vacation flycam the Mavic Mini is perfect. If DJI adds Active Track (which the Mini is totally capable of), it is a perfect package for travelling!

martin savage no u still have to abide by the drone laws assigned by the FAA u have to cooperate or it may get shot down, however you don’t have to be too worried and you don’t have to pay to fly it registered with the FAA

What I love about DJI products is that they don’t try to replace their previous products! Where as GoPro does it every year, and screws you out of your money for a few months!
It is sad that DJI didn't put 4k camera from Mavic Air just in case to save Air line. Anyway news are great for these countries where registration is nessesary.
I bet the camera can do 4k...it's just restricted by software. IMHO a wrong decision, because Mavic Air would still have a place for it's sensors and flight performance. Also living in PAL land frame rates won't do for me. That's the main drawback from my Spark as well...still just 30fps and nothing else. Waiting on implementation of EASA rules now, let's see, if there's an advantage over the Anafi, which will definitely be up for mandatory registration, but well stay in risk class C0. As there are indications that toy status may be lost for

It is the Mavic Tiny. Basically, racer drone size with a high-end camera connects on it. Which allow you to do crazy shots that can go in and out of stuff. Like flying a drone through a building and out another window.

The one thing I don’t like about youtubers is that they don’t really respond to you. I have written to Peter many times and have never gotten a response that is the only thing I dislike about this channel. Everything else I love. He will never read this so I’m speaking into the wind. Really? I have no experience in aerial video but I found the mavic mini footage quite nice when watching in FHD. Since it has the same sensor of the mavic air, I think it's supposed to be decent!

Another HUGE benefit: you have to take the Part 107 test to fly a drone commercially IF it's 250g or more. And this is 249g. 👏

Yes, just you. I fly over water all the time (P4A+). I've also flown Mavic Pros over water. Haven't dunked a bird yet.
