Cosmetics no longer being something to collect and earn and just paid for is such a shame, it was a necessary evil for free to play games but nowadays it's everywhere.

@@SimonRobeyns I'd rather have a f2p game that monetizes most cosmetics if it means being able to fund on-going development similar to how GGG operates. I use to hate the model, but i now see the power. D2 was a great game, but even it lacked massive content updates until there was an expansion that they'd sell. With GGG's model they can put out essentially an expansion 4 times a year building the game up and improving on it constantly. I think they're one of the few companies doing it in a pretty ethical sense, minus the loot boxes.

You know what's funny? Back in the day when they had the daily comic on the wow page, they had this comic of two murlocs having tea. Over the horizon an Ally comes in his blue SW gear, and the Murloc takes out his monocle and says excuse me to the other murloc. He runs over the ally " Mrglwrglwrg!! and scared the ally offf. Comes back ,sits down, replaces his monocle and says to the other Murloc " How Vulgar." People were creative with those comics , liked a lot.

I have a hard time with a game that has a box price having a battle pass and cosmetic shop. That’s the ESO scheme. You pay for the bones of the game with zero earn able content and have to fork out cash to actually have anything in game. So the box price is literally paying to get into the park and then you have to keep paying for each individual ride, lunch, dinner, pictures, autographs, and the clothes you want to wear.
But it’s only cosmetics, no pay for power which is what most people care about, judging from Diablo Immortal

It's actually the norm with games from AAA companies these days to have a box price + battlepass and cosmetics for games they plan on regularly updating with content. Unless it's something they have no plans on updating they I don't mind too much, even if I never buy any of it. Thankfully we can just ignore the shop in D4 as it's just cosmetics, and from what we have seen so far I prefer the in game cosmetics and their style more.

While they only had one expansion Reaper of Souls with a new class, Crusader and then the necro pack (so two new classes since release)-they have added new content (new sets, items, features and reworked legendaries). They're also starting season 27 next week. So I can pretty much guarantee your "two seasons then leave D4 to rot" to be completely false. We can all come back to this post in 3 years and see who is wrong. :)
@@Psychos1s The problem with Diablo Seasons is that they don't do much, they flip around the builds and that's it. There is nothing new, if you played 10 seasons of D3 you played the other 17 as well. Every league in PoE is like an expansion, with new mechanics, new skills, balance, more endgame, system changes - and they pump them out in the same frequency as D3 seasons while being on a skeleton crew for the game since the majority of GGG is working on PoE 2. While the two seasons D4 might be a stretch and actually kind of semantics I doubt that D4 will receive the amount of updates in it's lifetime than PoE does in 2 years.
They had to copy from path of exile because they are the original Diablo team. The new team has no idea how to make diablo successful again. Diablo 1 and 2 were successful because they were real dark games made for adults, not the crap from d3 and immoral. Game had lots of gore, nudity, violence, satanic themes, and pretty big skill trees to create your unique play style. Every character could use every weapon and armor instead of being class-bound and they didn't shy away from having their characters wearing sexy outfits. You could hire mercenaries equip them and also, no replay was ever the same since maps always changed and were pretty big so there was lots of exploration plus elite enemies were always different. You could also trade with friends anything there was no bound to character bullcrap.
Diablo 3 is literally the most successful Diablo of the entire series, having sold the most copies and has the most concurring players, It always makes me laugh when the nostelgic fanboys who all come out and say "Diablo 1 and 2 best D3 sucks tits" when remastered D2 literally has HALF the playerbase of D3?

Because D1/2 are DOGSHIT games, yes they were awesome back in the day but now they're rubbish and the remaster numbers proves this, no one wants to REPEAT THE SAME STORY OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR BETTER LOOT AT HARDER DIFFICULTY, when you can literally play Diablo 3 which has randomized encounters/zones/mobs for Seasonal play and you can do MORE THEN ONE THING TO GET GEAR.

just remember that diablo 4 will have 'limited trading'. Be prepared to find stuff you can't trade.
How I imagine 'limited trading' to work: If all of an item's stats roll within 5% of the maximum possible value, the item won't be tradable.

Been hooked on blizzard games since I was 8 years old. Playing diablo one/two, warcraft 3, and starcraft 1-2 majority of my childhood/early teen years. Then I was hooked on WoW forever. Outside of console gaming, Overwatch was my first FPS on PC that made me interested to learn what DPI even was. Now shooters are one of my favorite video game genres on PC.
But now... At 30 years old. I can't even trust something like diablo 4 is worth getting excited over. I really can't care to support the company for a single second. I recall once upon a time contemplating to get a Blizzard tattoo, because I realized how large the name took part in my entire life. The way I would be staring at it right now, similar to some guy that got "Karen" put on his chest. The broad he broke up with cause she ended up being nothing more than a cheap thot.
Its crazy to me how a company can destroy itself this badly. I honestly thought I would be hooked on them for my entire life.
Blizzard is not going to use there own ideas. There going to look at what is successful, give it to a bunch of people that can see the numbers of how these graphics designs or game mechanics made this other games money, and those people will give it the stamp of approval.
Then Blizzard will copy, paste, and call it Apple Bites.
And the target market will say, "Isn't this just Apple Jacks with a different label?"

I actually like that they are bad at making gameshop sets since they look like shit. Necromancer's set looks like a virgin version of Leoric. Barbarian set looks awful, pieces look like they were taken from different sets, only the lion-shoulder is okay. That chaos orb set can't be taken seriously, people may buy this set only for trolling. Only the hunter set looks pretty decent, giving Far Cry Primal vibes. And still it looks more like a rare set than legendary. I can find much cooler sets in D3 with a real theme and aesthetics.

I don't get why people are complaining when a game copies another game, even more so what that game copied idea's from them first. It's a good thing that they are looking at their competition and copy good idea's that work. In terms of this, the helm is based on an item in PoE, that is not even a piece of equipment. Likely a easter Egg, or someone liked the idea behind the item and decided to make something similar based on the style.
This isn't just the gaming industry this involved all over. Hollywood, clothing design, vehicle design, commercials, advertising, food industry, etc etc I go on and on....we are in a generation of lazy people folks and it's easier to do what people have already seen and liked.

Overwatch is just an overhaul of TF2, influence by SMITE. Even that had many of its ideas taken from many other things. I mean, starcraft is a straight rip off of warhammer, but game developers do influence each other.

I mean D4 is definitely stealing the whole seasons every 3 months with content updates thing from PoE. They're doing it on purpose to model itself after PoE and to compete against it its pretty obvious.
@@Deminese2 D3 has seasons, they are underdeveloped as hell though, this is just a natural progression of what the D3 seasons should've been with having more than 2 guys working part time. Can't really say they've joinked seasons from PoE.
But yeah why not see if the most successful game in the genre has something that people universally like and base your decisions of it. So far I really haven't seen a game mode that they have clearly joinked from PoE. I'd expect that if there is something that works extremely well in PoE to find it's way into D4 and vice versa it just makes sense if it makes your game better.

It's amazing how many people don't realize these channels are echo chambers. Look just because the online community has doubts doesn't mean people in the real world won't buy and spend lots of money. To alot of people poe is overly complicated and that alone will push more people to d4 than I think anyone in this comment section realizes. Diablo III was REALLY bad compared to Diablo II. Like... Really. It was like a mediocre mobile game compared to DII.

Poe care more about their players and will likely laught this off. Cause they ain't Acti-blizz hitting actual artists and stealing their work. (That fluffy dog soldier thing.) Cause POE have a sound fanbase. As a FFXIV player if they copied anything, it's be drama channel number 1. And the rest of the world scratching their head as to why anyone pays Actiblizz money.

Diablo 4, can not even come close to the same level ass POE, path of exile will always by a better game, more depth no P2W just a ezz win, Diablo 4 is just all SJataan and greed
