In exploring instances of cruelty throughout history, one cannot overlook the grisly practices such as scaphism, the blood eagle or the brazen bull. Similarly, the Chinese water drop method, originating from antiquity, stands as another gruesome example of punishment, inflicting psychological torment through relentless dripping. Today we take an educational glimpse into the cruel history of punishments in order to shed light on some of the worst punishments endured by individuals in various places and moments in time. Definitely not a topic for the faint of heart.

@@AugustRxthat may be a part of it but there are those that don’t pay attention and skip parts of the video they “already know of” or find boring some immediately go to the comments before even playing the video wether it’s to see how well received or accurate the video is, troll, misinformation by what they think is true, or to just see what others say as their always is someone adding fun facts, quoting parts of the video and time stamps that people go to see as theirs a lot of people with short attention spans or adhd that can’t sit still to watch a video longer than a minute so find the summary of others or those quotes/time stamps of the best parts to see if the video is worth watching I can go on and on about how people are now a days and why people do this but there is a reason for it wether you believe it or not that’s just the modern world now a lot more people have become simpler because of the media now a days everything is handfed to us and treats us like we are all stupid which in turn does affect a lot of people especially kids making people have less patience, common sense, turn off their brains more often, think less, and less interested in thinking for themselves and having sense

I personally believe one of the worst punishments for anyone could be taking away all their hope, all their reason for living. For example:
If you're planning on doing this to someone, you have to study them for a long time. Try to get close to that person by any means necessary, so long as you eventually become accepted as a good friend to them. Begin finding out the things this person is passionate about, what their dreams are, the things/people they hold dear to their heart, make sure to have it all recorded down somewhere. Then, slowly, 1 by 1, you start taking those things away. If your target has a romantic interest, just- make sure that person is no longer available (you decide how that'll happen). If your target has a favorite pet, again, have the pet 'mysteriously' disappear. Over the course of however long you choose, make sure that everything this person cherishes goes away for good. Break their spirit, their mind, leave them with the constant, pestering thought, "everything I love is leaving me", meanwhile you're secretly the one behind their ever-growing madness. Take absolutely EVERYTHING away from them, even the place they live in. If they try to get anything back, either get rid of it at soon as they get it, or stop them from ever getting it. Every time they try to build their way back up, by whatever preferred method, knock them back down to ground 0. And if they ever reach the point where they're sick of everything and are going to give it all up, stop them from doing that to. Don't let them be able to accomplish anything they want to in life, even if their desire is to pass away. Force their minds to eventually crumble into that of a deranged lunatic's. Perhaps, in the end, if things get too bad for them, admit them to an insane asylum where they can rot the rest of their pathetic, miserable days away.

Why am I obsessed and unemotional when I watch videos about human suffering.
I remember my mother telling me about a torture method used by nazi germans which was basically not letting the victim sleep. The poor thing would sit in silence for hours and the second they fall asleep a loud sound can be heard, waking them up. This would go on for (as I remember) days and thinking about it, it's truly evil.
A different torture method I heard about was making the victim listen to the same music (or any sound) over and over again, slowly making then lose their mind.
But the worst punishment gotta be scrolling on TH-cam shorts for hours.

worst oogan punishments in history (not in order)
20. The ronkdogs
This punishment was one of the first in oogan history. In this punishment, a pit would be dug into rock. This pit is called the ronk pit. The unlucky oogan would be put in the hole, with no way to get out. At this point, the ronkdogs would be released. There were 1-5 dogs depending on the severity of the crime. The dogs would start with the most painful parts of your body (you know what I mean) and then go for the least necessary parts of the body, making it so you live the longest to experience the pain.
19. The pole
This punishment also originated early in oogan history. In this punishment, the victim would be placed over a deep area of water, preferably infested with carnivorous aquatic life. The victim would be left there for days on end, receiving just enough food and water to survive, so they only die from the aquatic life wanting a snack.
18. The boat
The victim of this punishment was placed on an old boat that the oogans were usually planning to throw out, then towed out to sea by a working boat. They are left there with minimal food and water and forgotten about. This punishment was only used for a short amount of time because the victim would often just swim or row their way back to shore.
17. The twister
The victim of this punishment was placed on a device and their hands tied to one board, and their feet tied to the other. The foot board was relentlessly rotated until the victim looked like a corkscrew.
16. “eat rats”
Nobody knows the official name of this punishment because it was always referred to as “eat rats.” The victim would be tied in a rat-infested basement, with no way to move anything, including their tounge. Honey and cheese were placed and lathered around in the victim’s mouth, which lured rats into their mouth. The rats would chew away at the tounge and mouth, causing them to bleed out and die. In other cases, the rat would find its way into the trachea, choking the recipient.
15. Soggy bread
The victim would be placed in a circular chamber. This chamber had a few things like tables and staircases to nowhere. There was a pipe that would drop in around 5 centimeters of water a day. The chamber would slowly fill at this rate unless a flood was about to occur. In this case, a large door would open and completely flood the chamber. This punishment had the name soggy bread because people would drop in bread every day, but it would be soggy.
14. The chaymbur
During this punishment, a large chamber was carved into the rock. The victim would be put inside of the chamber and forgotten about. The chambers were usually hooked up to the trash can in castles, so it was extra horrible. The bodies were never cleaned out, so at least the victim would have some friends. The entrance to this chamber was an 8-meter drop, so many people would have broken legs upon entering. This was usually used as a backup punishment if someone survived their punishment.
13. Hot rod
In this punishment, a metal rod with a high melting point was heated up to an extreme amount. After it was at the point of melting, it would be loaded into a crossbow and shot and the behind of the victim, burning a hole straight through them. This would most definitely kill you. The victim was then often put out in a public spot to make an example.
12. Tongs of pain
In this punishment, a tong-like device would be set to a level depending on the severity of the crime. The level would determine how much the tongs could expand. Then the victim was tied to a table, and the tongs inserted you-know-where. The tongs were then released, and they expanded a great amount, causing deafening screams to come from the victim. After around an hour, the tongs were released, and the victim was let go. In other, worse cases, the tongs were left in, making it look like they pooped out a big turd when they put on their pants, and sometimes the tongs had to be adjusted to make it even worse.
11. The poostopper
In this case, a metal with a low melting point that is still solid at room temperature would be melted down and put inside of the victims you-know-where. It would solidify and the victim would not be able to poo. They would then be set free and 1 of 2 things would happen. Either the burns on the you-know-where would get infected and they would die of disease. Or they would die of not being able to poo.
10. The stinky one
This one is actually a horrible punishment that I would wish on nobody. A council of the 10 stinkiest and most disgusting eaters in the city would be assembled, and all the body odor, excrement, and farts would be collected in a big jar called “the stinky one” for a month. Once the collection was complete, the victim would be tied to a rope by the stomach and lowered into the stinky one slowly. Once they hit the ground, the rope was unattached, and the victim would fall straight into the disgusting floor of the stinky one and left to decompose. The body would not be taken out before the next victim arrived, and the next victim was forced to take out the bones of the previous victims’ body, so the jar does not fill up too much. The jar was exposed to the sun so the bodies would rot quickly. Once it was ~75% full, it would be hauled by other criminals to the poo-cave, the deepest discovered cave at the time. It was dumped there, and then brought back to the next city that needed it. The poo-cave causes miners horror still to this day, if they accidentally hit it, they will drown in poo.
9. beating stick (10 cents)
The victim of this punishment would be tied to a post with their rear end sticking out. People could then pay 10 cents to hit them with a metal stick.
8. Death by 10,000-degree honey buns
This punishment is actually one of the worst. You must commit something HORRIBLE to get sentenced to this. In this punishment, 10-15 metal (usually something like tungsten) honey buns are heated up to just below the melting point. The victim is tied to a bed, and the buns are dropped on the victim’s body, starting with the limbs, then the torso, and lastly the head.
7. Ocean Dumping
The victim of this punishment would be placed inside of a watertight tank. This tank had enough food and water to keep the victim alive for 3 months. On the bottom of the tank, there were big slabs of rock. The victim was placed inside along with the food. The tank was then dragged far out to sea, and then dropped off of the boat. It would sink quickly. It could withstand some pressure, but not enough to instantly kill the victim when it burst. When it did burst, the victim would first get impaled by parts of the tank, and then drown. (yeouch!)
6. The depths
This is a very simple punishment. The victim would be thrown into a big cave. That’s it.
5. Death by rabid collumdums
The name is self-explanatory. The victim would be placed in a pit with a couple rabid collumdums. Then it was just seeing how long they would survive before getting ripped apart.

The victim of this punishment would be forced to drink cesium until they died. (whomp whomp)

The Mythbusters once tested both bamboo and dropping water. Bamboo easily pierced body-like gelatinuos torso. One of them that took the dropping water said, that they felt like they have a hole in their forehead they could put their entire finger in. Scary.

You didn’t even talk about the worst parts of the boats. Worms would grow in the diarrhea of the victim and eat them from the inside out, the victim’s entire face would usually be covered with insects making it difficult to breath, and this would go on for days in which the victim would be fed milk and honey over and over again. Terrifying

at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of the buffet.
