Awww Chag Sameach!! Love you ladies !! I converted in 2021, completely by choice ! My husband is Israeli of Moroccan Sephardic descent and I love all the traditions and the Spirituality. I love my Jewish family, the women I’ve met who have embraced me and who are so full of love and respect and warmth. A happy and blessed Hanukkah to all !!
My story is similar to Mila's - grew up knowing, but weren't allowed to talk about it. Grew up and staring a family of our own, and my heart was drawn. Blessings on you, mothers of Israel. Chag Hanukkah!
I am a history professor; I made a video explaining the history of Hanukkah. Now more than ever it is vital Hanukkah is celebrated. It is at its core a Zionist holiday. Am Yisrael Chai.
@@Dextermoon1 If you understood what is zionism you would have understood that Hanukkah is very zionist (tbh all of our holidays) and tbf, Hanukkah is one of the least religious holiday we have. It is way more historical and cultural than religious.
We love you Mila and Tishby ! Thank you for just being you and for the support for all us all struggling, but very joyful and grateful, jews out here. I was rooting for you to get the right answer on which direction to go when lighting the candles; well done ! You are all indeed creating more light and hope in the world by what you do.
I learned the oldest candles moving on to the newest. I grew-up Conservative in the 1960s. It's interesting that Ashton knows about this unless he is half-Jewish?
Oh this made for America Judaism do what y it want it’s all open it’s just cultural. Done you know that that is what channukah is about fighting against the forces of assimilation not joining them
And finish the blessings first, then light. Noa and her guests are only making the first of two blessings, maybe because it's a mock lighting before time for the real lighting.
@@Karen-dk1ec No, and he hasn't converted. He apparently studies certain aspects of Judaism and reads the Torah. I also learned to light the oldest to newest candle and still do. I grew up Reform and had a Bat Mitzvah in the '80s. Good enough.

I think it so important what you are doing Noa ! Seeing those famous people unapologetically lightening the Chanukkah candles is such a visibility that I think a lot of us need to see ! Thank you so much and Chag Sameach🙏🏼🕎❤️🔥
Simple-you place the candles in the Menorah from right to left. When it comes to lighting the Menorah you light them left to right (new night candle first, then light to the right)
"Left To Right Is How You Light," is the reminder rhythm ! If you are setting out the Menorah in the window you light right to left, so that from the street, looking at the window, it appears left to right. Happy 2nd Night of Hanukkah Ya'll ! Am Yisrael Chai !
Adorable heartwarming ! Noa you are bringing such light in the world , yesterday Gwyneth Paltrow , today Mila Kunis ,its pure joy to see them in our darkest time light a menorah 🕎 , especially after the silence of Hollywood!!!!! ❤❤❤

Nice. From the Siddur I use, the first 3 blessings are said without the candles lit, then the candles are lit with the 4th blessing (and of course the longer story only on 1st night). I guess certain traditions vary. But lovely to see this done on YT. We certainly need a lot of light to spread upon such a darkened world. 🕎
