I have every album he has released. If you think "Night Moves" is good, you definitely need to check out the albums "Stranger In Town" with iconic tracks "Hollywood Nights", "Old Time Rock and Roll," and "We've Got Tonight". Another classic Seger album is "Against The Wind" with the title track being one of his biggest hits. It also features the classic songs " You'll Accompany Me" and "Her Strut.' That one line has always evoked such a powerful feeling of nostalgia and sentimentality for me. It speaks to memory, of times that were good (whatever they may be), and how memory sustains us through tough times.
Bob told the story of this song the last time I saw him in concert. It actually took place on Ann St, just off of Main in Ann Arbor, MI. There was a jazz and blues club with big windows in the front. Bob was too young to get in, but there was one girl who was there all the time. She would dance to the music toward the front of the club, and he would see her there all the time. He was infatuated with her.
Years ago Bob Costas had a late night talk show and Bob Seger did a two part interview during which he chain smoked constantly , that's where the voice comes from . In one song he claimed to smoke five packs a day .
I can go with "manly." I had the great good fortune to see him in concert in 1996 when the "It's a Mystery" tour came through KC. Can something be electric and laid back? Somehow he pulled it off. Generation Ladies Bob Seger recently retired from touring. He had long a tour to finish his touring career. I believe that Bob might continue making music even though he is retired.

One of my favorites is Shame on the Moon just beautiful. But you really can't go wrong with any of his songs there all pretty magical.

What you thought was a guitar was actually a horn, a reed instrament,not sure what kind. But his horn player, Alto Reed, was a key part of the band.
