I love the chit chat talks you have with your popsickles! Thank you for considering how inclusive that makes many of us feel... especially if we are shut-ins or not able to get together with our own family members. Your channel fills my personal need to feel like I am socializing when in fact I am confined as the fulltime caregiver of my disabled husband. I can feel your sincerity of friendship with us, your subscribers, and it is sorely needed. It was 91 degrees here in Western Washington state and it would have been nice to have a popsickle!
Wow Tipper, I have never seen tomatoes and peppers grow so tall and healthy in solo cups!! That’s impressive. Maybe with all that’s going on in your lives, the Good Lord just blessed them and you’ll have your best crop ever. I do know He cares about our gardens because it means so much to us and He feeds his little ones. Us in the South know feeding us from our gardens is a great way for Him to do that. 🥒💚👩🌾🥬☀️
What a thoughtful gift Tipper, as we get older it is nice to have a little comfort. Good to see you get your plants into the ground. We are continueing to pray for Miss Cindy, many blessings to everyone.
🎀Happy Mothers Day, Tipper, Miss Cindy🙏 and Granny!🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤ Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there and Dads who are doing double duty and Fur Mom's too, Corie!🌹🐶
In watching this planting, it makes me wish I was 40 or 50 years younger, when I was doing all this outside iris, glads, peppers, tomatoes and our hot peppers… no more! But I sure enjoy watching you and your family digging in and raising beautiful garden and yard. Oh yes I use to do herbs . Love the way you put your program together. Never stop.! ……..I am going to get some pop cycles to eat when you sit down to rest. Love you all. I have an iPad and I can see every thing so big. Would love to be out sitting in your yard when all this is going on. Love those birds And all the sounds. Prayers for a great 2024 year.
James Wircomb Riley, the Hoosier poet, began a poem with "When the forst is on the punkin and the fodder's in the shock...". Your mention of corn shcoks takes me back to my adolescent years when a few old-timers here in Caroll County still put their corn stalks in shocks. That world only lives in our fond memories, now, and is gone forever. I use the term "old-timer" with only the greatest respect and fond remembrance. The "shock" for me is that now I am an old-timer.
I was 6 years old with chicken pox. My mom was sitting with me in the dark by my bed watching TV. She was watching Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. I was so scared. Now, when I see/hear a bunch of crows, I remember that movie . We have a lot of cardinals and bluejays. Love them.
I loved watching you plant your garden - how relaxing. I even caught a glimpse of Miss Cindy, God bless her. It was so wonderful to sit in the shade with you guys. Tipper, you’re never going to believe how fast your next 20 years will go. Soak it all up. Blessings to you all.❤
All of your videos are so special for me to watch. It reminds me of my childhood when me and my dad used to grow a garden at my grandma’s place, and it makes my heart feel so warm inside. We always had a great time doing that together. I so miss my dad. I pray for your family every day. I hope that everything goes well with all that your family is going through.
For us gardener's it's so funny that we get so excited about beginning to plant in the spring, even though we do the same thing every year, it's like it's a new beginning, Granny so does love her green beans, I would love to see a video on how she cooks them. Praying for miss Cindy.
Your tomato plants look great! y'all have the magic touch 🙂and it's so good to see you passing along your knowledge to the next generation. I can't think of a better way to spend Mother's Day weekend. My grandfather had 2 pet crows and he trained them so they could come and go into the cage, sit on his shoulder, and come when he called them. He loved "Joe"...he was very smart crow and affectionate - crows have their own personalities! so thanks for sharing a part of your day with us...and I laughed when Matt asked, "what's for supper?" ... the eternal question! You and your family remain in my prayers.
I remember when I was a little boy my parents would plant a garden every year,my daddy would sow the tomatoes down the side of the plant beds and sometimes when they couldn’t get them out and they got tall like y’all’s plants, they would instead of digging a deep hole they would dig a trench and lay them down in it leaving the top out.Would bury most of the stems, the plants would make more roots under the soil and the plant would turn and grow straight up. When you were showing those big beautiful plants it reminded me of back then.Thank you and your family for the inspiration and advice in your videos.
I have seen a couple of crows and a bluejay team up to escort a red shouldered hawk out of the neighborhood. I also watched that hawk or one of its relatives land on my deck rail to snack on a freshly caught mouse. I hear them more often than I see them, "Kew! Kew!" Fascinating! Really enjoyed the video. May our Lord bless and keep you all.
Tipper, at the beginning of the video you were smiling from ear to ear. You were so happy to get your garden planted. Those peppers that had already grown were beautiful. Glad for your Family.
I really enjoyed this video! Precious Family, there's nothing like it! Prayers are being said for Ms. Cindy daily. Im praying for your Family's Strength & Peace. I love Everybody!! God's Speed Only!
I love raw veggies, As a child, many times, I would wet a wash cloth, get a salt shaker and sneak off to the garden, trying my best to hide from Mommie. I would wipe off everything I ate. Tomatoes, snow peas, cucumbers, bell peppers, etc. Well Mommie would finally miss me and call for me to come out of her garden but, not before my belly was full. Sometimes she would tell me it was suppertime and would tell her I've already eaten. A wonderful childhood memory for me.
I've grown tomatoes for 50 years and always add a little Epsom salt, bone meal and blood meal to the planting hole, they produce extremely well and the bone meal prevents BER, blossom end rot. Once a month I sprinkle a heaping tablespoon full of Epsom salt around the base of each tomato plant and lightly water it in, keeps them dark green, growing very well and producing heavily.
Gonna be a great Garden..sweet of Mat on the Garden knee pad ..for Mothers Day 1 of my Son got me plenty of Garden items and flowers and the boys took me to dinner as a family ,we had a great Night and Day Happy Mother’s Day 💐🌸🌹♥️💜to you
Happy Mother's Day to you, Tipper, Miss Cindy & Granny! So glad you got Granny's garden planted & I know she appreciates that. It was good to see Miss Cindy in the garden area & I'm sure she enjoyed the sunshine & watching y'all work. Continuing to pray for you, Miss Cindy! Corie, you are a momma to your sweet fur baby, Olive. Happy Furry Mom Day to you! Hugs!
Gonna be a great Garden..sweet of Mat on the Garden knee pad ..for Mothers Day 1 of my Son got me plenty of Garden items and flowers and the boys took me to dinner as a family ,we had a great Night and Day Happy Mother’s Day to you 💐
Your soil is perfect. The flowers and plants so healthy. All of you are just so blessed. Ms Cindy we all love you ❤ Granny your beans will grow and you’ll be cooking them soon. 🎉
It was good to see yuns get that many plants in the ground. I guess I like hawks as much as Corie does. One time I was watching a bunch of crows pestering a hawk . One crow was diving down on the hawk , and then the hawk flipped up and must have got the crow with its talons because the crow folded and dropped out of the sky. That's the only time I've seen a hawk do that.
Such a precious family and Wow what a Wonderful garden- I’m Praying for your Sweet Mother in law- I Pray that Gods Will be done in all our lives- And in Our Savior Holy Name♥️ Thank you Heavenly Father for All your love, Mercy ,Blessing ,Grace and Forgiveness- Such a Faithful loving Savior who Shed his Blood 🩸 for the Sins of the whole World.
corn fields are really good memories for me, i was squirrel hunting on the edge of one, and wondered off into the corn field and all of a sudden this big tom jumped out and scared the dickens outta me. txs for the videos luv yawll. GOD BLESS and praying for ms, cindy.
Happy Mother’s Day to you, Tipper, Granny & Miss Cindy. 🌷 When you spoke at the last about fodder it brought back happy memories of an old James Whitcomb Riley poem, ‘The Frost is on the Punkin’. When my oldest son was little he liked the phrase, “When the frost is on the punkin and the fodders in the shock”. He couldn’t say his r’s very well as a little boy though so, it made for a very sweet memory this Mother’s Day. I hope this Mother’s Day was filled with love and happy memory making moments for you all.
Dear Tipper, Praying for Ms Cindy.🙏 Thank you for your wonderful cookbook! It was an excellent purchase for my wife's Mother's Day . She and my daughter loved perusing it. Always enjoy your show! God's Richest Blessings to you all.... Marvin and Eva English San Diego County, California 🤝🙂🕯
Happy Mother's Day Tipper, Granny and Miss Cindy! So nice to see Miss Cindy outside with y'all.. Your plants look so good! You made good progress. Hope you can get your beans in soon too! Take care and continued prayers going up for Miss Cindy and all of you..🙏❤
I really enjoyed watching you plant your tomatoes and peppers! I think I enjoy your chats almost as much as I do the things you have going on in your video! You’re just great at working in your garden and great at chatting, too! I bought tomato plants and pepper today. Will plant tomorrow, if the weather allows.
Thank you for having us along. I just finished up our garden also. I'll be planting corn and beans for another week. Bless you all and your family. 🙏😇👍😀
I use Epsom salts in the first few waterings. It contains magnesium. This year someone told me it helps the tomato to absorb calcium. Nice work everyone!
My husband gifted me a garden pad & I think he and my son use it more than I do 😆 It is a great gift though. Useful gifts are awesome. Also, we love ravens out in the mountains of central idaho. Crows aren’t really around here (no murders)- but we love the ‘conspiracy’ of Ravens that hang around our place. They are so I credibly intelligent. Their mimicry skills are on the level with some parrots I’ve been around. It’s pretty neat to learn about them & their mannerisms. My son can usually call them right up to the house. Love the bird sounds in the background of your outdoor videos.
Late watching. I have had a full house this mother's day. Happy late mother's day Tipper. It is now midnight so it's actually Monday now lol. Glad you are getting your plants out.continued prayers for Miss Cindy.
Ya'll make me want to get my garden in and going soon. I'm biding my time. A couple winters ago...closer to Spring, but still had snow on the ground....I went out to head to church and looked next to the driveway and there was a big piece of peanut brittle on the ground. It was the strangest thing because we hadn't had any of that around. Then a few days later...we found a rat in the driveway. Well, we through it into the ditch and came back out the next day and there was that same rat in the driveway again. THEN...one more time....just the leg of the rat in the driveway. I know it was the birds that did it. They are smart creatures.
When I cant get my tomatoes in the ground in a timely manner and they get tall like yours, we either dig a trench and bury them horizontally with only the top 3 inches left in an upright position, or my husband will use a post hole digger to dig each hole which will accommodate a good portion of the plant leaving 3 inches above ground. Love your gardening videos. Looking forward to watching it grow with you.
I love how you don't necessarily do things like an "influencer" but you encourage people to do their own research and make their own decision (like the Epsom salt for tomatoes). Looks like you'll have a nice variety!
I enjoy your videos, they are relaxing to watch. The part with the crows reminds me of the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds". My Uncle Tim ran a grist mill (it was run by a belt hooked up to a tractor) and he always had a field of corn he used at the grist mill. He also pulled of some of the leaves to make to make fodder for the milk cow. It was fun roaming around in the corn field. Again, thanks for this video. I am praying for your family and Miss Cindy.
Such a blessing for me to set down at the end of the day and watch your videos. They remind me of family time on the farm in the 1950s and 60s. Just sittin and talking of family , friends times past present times and times to come. Thank you and may the Lord bless and keep safe all you hold dear.
Tipper, the tomato and pepper plants looks so healthy. I enjoy watching y’all in your garden my health want let me do much . Thank you for sharing to us that dream. I seen a woodpecker on our road the other day.
I saw all those tomato plants and I thought, they gonna put Hunts outta business! 😂! I use Epsom salt on my tomatoes too. I planted my peppers all together last time I had a garden. Bell peppers, 3 plants together, all my Cayenne together in one hole and all my sweet peppers in one hole and I think it was the best year I had for peppers. I prayed over the Cayenne plants rabbits ate all the leaves off of and they came back! Peppers are usually the first thing I get out of my garden. This year it's been onions. I always put marigolds in my garden too. My Grandmother used to say that bugs don't like 'em. I had a big Red-tailed Hawk gift me a tail feather a week ago. I put it in my building. Thanks for sharing your gardening and story time with us! Continued prayers.
I enjoy watching you plant and talk about the plants as you go. I don't know how you can look at a couple tiny leaves sprouted in the ground and identify them! Amazes me! Take care and again, I enjoy your videos. Thank you. Continued prayers for Ms. Cindy and all of you. 🙏🙏🙏💜❤
What a nice Mother's Day gift from Matt.I'm sure you'll put it to good use in the garden this season. Continuing prayers for Miss Cindy and you all, have a Great Week and God Bless 🙂.
Good to see Miss Cindy up and walking in the garden, happy Mother’s Day Tipper, Granny, and Miss Cindy. #cancer_free #team_miss_cindy #healthy_as_a_horse
I'm so glad I found this channel, you guys are so down to earth, I really like the gardening tips since my thumb isn't very green lol. My family is from Bluefield and it's been a long time since I've been back there, it's like having a piece of home to watch, thanks guys, Shalom!
Thank you for teaching about the white "hairs" on the stalk turning into roots. I didn't know that. By the way, I've got "Cherokee Purple" in our Amazon cart for next year. Thank you for you and Matt talking about your favorite kinds of tomatoes in the other video.
Enjoyed watching you guys get things planted & always enjoy the popsicle talk time. Steak & Eggs sounds good to me lol. Hope You, Ms. Cindy & Granny had a great Mother’s Day! Praying for you all. 🙏🏻😇🙏🏻😇
Happy Mother’s Day to Tipper, Granny and Ms. Cindy! Corrie, Happy Mother’s Day with your fur baby, Olive. Your gardens look beautiful, you must have a green thumb. Each and every one of you are continuing to be in my prayers. God bless you!
Thank you Tipper,Matt, and Corie for letting us tag along with you as you plant. The tomatoes and peppers are awesome. Now that they are in the ground I'm sure they will do fine.God bless you and yours Tipper and hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.Its a little after 10 pm on Sunday here.Take care.Hugs.
Oh my goodness y’all stirred up a mouse memory here!!! We lived out in the country. I was about 3rd grade. Decided I wanted to “read” one the old encyclopedias in a set my folks had bought. I sat on the floor & pulled out one of those big, chunky books and there was a bed of brand new little pink shiny baby mice nesting behind the book I had chosen!!!There was a lot of squealing that commenced…mine & most likely some of pink bunch! That’s where my memory stops……I’m 70…it has lingered!! No mice for me…..LOL 😮

Happy Mother's Day to all the ladies!! So nice to see Miss Cindy!!
When I plant the really tall tomato plants I lay them down and cover a good portion of the stem, this makes a really good root system.
Love it

I really enjoyed watching yaw gar-ding it’s one of my passion that and hunting and fishing .
my wifes uncle grew silage to feed his cows during the winter. it looked exactly like corn but never grew ears of corn.

Glad you have some Juliet; they are my favorites. Love your variety and can't wait to see the different tomatoes. Blessings!
I love how you don't necessarily do things like an "influencer" but you encourage people to do their own research and make their own decision (like the Epsom salt for tomatoes). Looks like you'll have a nice variety!
"I was looking at the chickens." THAT's FUUNY.
😀
I enjoy your videos, they are relaxing to watch. The part with the crows reminds me of the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds". My Uncle Tim ran a grist mill (it was run by a belt hooked up to a tractor) and he always had a field of corn he used at the grist mill. He also pulled of some of the leaves to make to make fodder for the milk cow. It was fun roaming around in the corn field. Again, thanks for this video. I am praying for your family and Miss Cindy.
Prayed for Miss Cindy at Sunday school this morning. Happy Mother's Day.🙏👍💕✝️
Such a blessing for me to set down at the end of the day and watch your videos.
Such a beautiful family! Your daughter is so adorable 🥰!! Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait for your next planting project!!!!!❤️
😀 Thank you Scott!
I enjoy watching you plant and talk about the plants as you go. I don't know how you can look at a couple tiny leaves sprouted in the ground and identify them! Amazes me! Take care and again, I enjoy your videos. Thank you. Continued prayers for Ms. Cindy and all of you. 🙏🙏🙏💜❤

Love the sound of that creek💕
Oh my goodness y’all stirred up a mouse memory here!!! We lived out in the country. I was about 3rd grade. Decided I wanted to “read” one the old encyclopedias in a set my folks had bought. I sat on the floor & pulled out one of those big, chunky books and there was a bed of brand new little pink shiny baby mice nesting behind the book I had chosen!!!There was a lot of squealing that commenced…mine & most likely some of pink bunch! That’s where my memory stops……I’m 70…it has lingered!! No mice for me…..LOL 😮
😀 Love that memory!
Don't feel bad guys I'm getting ALL of my seeds in the ground or in grow bags this week all vegetables and flowers.
