🐈 The Women by Kristin Hannah was my favorite august book! So freaking good ❤ I also read 12 books!
I also read Winter Garden this month and gave it 4.5 stars! The last half was so good but I agree that it was a slow start and not much happened until the 50% mark.
I gave Mad Honey 4 stars. Curiosity killed the cat on that one for me though because I googled the coauthor before I read it. That gave away A LOT. Very important story though. I LOVED reading how they decided to coauthor a book. Such a great story even though I wanted more from the ending,.
Technically I finished it in September, but my favorite book was Play Along 🐈
🐈 my favorite book I read in August was Rain of Shadows and Endings.
I just finished this a week ago and already ordered book 2! so good!
I agree with you, Sam. Nothing happened in the veiled kingdom, and I wanted more from the romance from the new Emma Scott book
the wayward pines series on Amazon is sooooooo good
Riley Sager’s newest thriller made me tear up. Not full on cry but it surprised me
Winter Garden has been on my maybe someday list for years. I’m so interested/saddened by what happened in Leningrad that I want to read. But I know a lot of the history and it’s Kristen Hannah and I’m mostly worried about my own mental health while reading it. I just don’t know. Lol
I absolutely loved Winter Garden, it broke me.
Room for Us by LM Halloran was my favorite
🐈 💜
🐱 Okay, I haven't been in a thriller mood for a long while, but you're making me want to pick up We Use to Live Here and Pines 😅🌲🏠
Completely agree about Strange Sally Diamond. The ending kept it from being 5⭐️ for me. I saw another video where they talked about there being an alternate ending for it in Europe. I’m curious about it!🐈⬛
interesting! I'm gonna have to go find it cause I'm curious now lol
🐈 I have a few I enjoyed
Carnage of the Cursed Crown Deb Marlowe
Dime a Dozen Gina LaManna
A Deadly Scandal Carla Simpson
I was so glad you liked Winter Garden. I can't wait to see what you think of the Firefly Lane Girls books. Happy reading 📚 😊
I dnf’d Mad Honey due to boredom. I just couldn’t continue it.
I read 12 books in August too! My 5 star reads were Business Casual by BK Borison (the last book in the Lovelight Farms series), Yellow Wife by Sadeqa Johnson, and Lady Tan's Circle of Women by Lisa See. 4 stars reads were Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, An Earl to Remember by Stacy Reid, We Were Liars by E Lockhart, Well Traveled by Jen DeLuca (Last book in her Renaissance Faire series), Forget Me Not by Julie Soto, Happily Never After by Lynn Painter, and And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (It's a CLASSIC for a reason! So good; was probably mind-blowing in that era). 🐈⬛
I still need to read Yellow Wife! I remember really liking We Were Liars too! that book seems to get a lot of hate for some reason lol
Your hair looks amazing!! 💇🏻♀️ Would you consider doing a little hair tutorial sometime? Would love to see how you get those loose curls/waves!
i definitely could! maybe in a vlog or a grwm monthly wrap up
I agree that Seeing Red was a little cringe 😑 I did like the first book in that series Alive and Wells much better. I think you would really like Rope the Moon by Ava Hunter, it's a similar vibe but better written. Again it's the second in the series though. First book also good.
🐈
Mad Honey was one of the worst books I have ever read. I agree the bee part was so boring I could hardly get through it and the rest had me so mad. Every character aside from Asher was a waste of space. It was way past unlikable characters. I am hoping to get to Quicksilver & Rally this month.
