    04:09 Rivka Malka Perlman, you are misinformed about this dear.
    This is the actual process:
    I testify “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”
    These Arabic words mean, “There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of Allah.” Once a person says the Testimony of Faith with conviction and understanding its meaning, then he/she has become a Muslim.
    As you can see one doesn't even have to pronounce the word 'religion' let alone 5 times! xD
    I hope I've cleared out the misconception. I felt bad for you, you are such a nice person & that's why I cleared it up.

    • @ShilohSapir
      @ShilohSapir 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have the misconception.
      Islam is not a real religion.
      Mohamed made it up.
      History states that Mohamed was insane, was a pedophile and was dedicated to kill everyone who did not convert to Islam.
      Even to this day, Muslims are killing as many non-Muslims as possible.
      Muslims kill their own daughters even though they only suspect that she was Immodest.
      They call it "an HONOR KILLING." That's an insane oxymoron!
      No, my cousin, you are misinformed.
      I'm only pointing this out to you because I'm concerned that you know the truth. Be well. 🎉

    This is the most beautiful explanation of Judaism that I've ever heard. I am not Jewish, but I received so much light and inspiration from this message. Christians are also guilty of being more focused on religion than relationship, and it colors every other aspect in their life. Thank you. This is very much what I needed to hear. God bless you!!!

      If you think Christianity is not a relationship then you obviously do not understand what Yeshua did for and the price He paid.

      Lauren Moss you can’t speak for all Christians, you don’t know what’s in a person’s heart! You can only speak of what’s in your own heart and focus on that, focus on yourself becoming closer to God, and let Him take care of the outside world! You have to find God within because that’s where He is! If you want answers you have to search within yourself and God will show you the way! Don’t worry about others, focus on your own spiritual relationship with the Lord and go from there!

    Rivka, I just learned about you and I absolutely LOVE your channel. I love this talk and learned a lot. I am a Muslim convert in America, and I just did want to throw out a small correction, and that Muslims also (in many schools of thought) would also say that Islam is a relationship, and not a religion, specifically, a DEEN, which means "way". So, we use the word religion to simplify it, but on a deeper level a Muslim also would not say religion. Also, and most importantly, when one wants to become Muslim, they do not say what you have mentioned, however they say: "I bare witness that there is only one God, and Muhammad is his final prophet. " With that, we believe in all of the prophets in the Torah as well as Jesus, son of Maryam (Mary mother of Jesus) ... other than that... LOVED the talk!

      ***** Pomona, the first word that utters past your lips in the Islamic prayer is "bismillah hir rahman ir rahim" which means "in the name of God the most gracious, the most merciful." God is merciful, and understanding of his servants situations and conditions. I pray the best for you, remember that God Mercy far outweighs his wrath, and lastly, that, God says in Hadith Qutsi “Take one step towards me, I will take ten steps towards you. Walk towards me, I will run towards you.” #babysteps

      cee Byrd tweets! sister thanks for the teaching! but I'd like to ask some questions in Islam, it's clear as to expectations of men in "paradise " or heaven I.e virgins, but what expectations do women or should look towards in heaven??? again, muhammad was a prophet but my confusion is prophets are mouth pieces of God as to his will and historically christianity predates Islam and all prophets depicted and exemplified in christianity were both used supernaturally in doctrine, edification, healing, deliverances and. conveying of God's love will, and heart to his people! furthermore, God openly showcased his approval for prophets and messages said by supernaturally events to confirm it's authenticity.
      Islam and the hadith agrees jesus and moses were both prophets, and says believe in them, but the bible says in testing authenticity of a prophet that " whatever a prophet prophesies in his name, if it follows not, doubt the authenticity of the said prophet or that he prophecied presumptiously but if it came to pass then it's from him God! all biblical prophets like moses, Abraham, isaac, Elijah, Elisha exemplified supernatural experiences in yourface that validated God having ordained and used his prophet and not just once but consistently! healing sick, casting out devil, raising the dead! but In Islam I can't seam to make the connection as to how and what test validated the prophetic office of muhammad as I don't know any prophecy he's given or gave?? or what supernatural healing in the name of Al-lah that is recorded in the Koran?? ??? the only reference is his testimony about angel encounter in cave??! I need clarification? as to why the Koran which came after xtianity validates the prophetic offices and doctrine of xtianity or Judaism, in that Initself is confusing cause you're validating God's supernatural edicts, and equipping and calling of his prophets often angelic encounters were commonplace openly as in "Bethesda pool", pillar of fire as in moses!, God sending fire as in Elijah, raising of dead child, jesus raising lazarus, and multiplification of food, resurrection of death!!! But muhammad doesn’t have such resume that fulfills qualifications to be associated let alone called a "Prophet" only his lone individual personal testimony of encounter with angel, is recorded as proof to his call, but not subsequent prophecies after this encounter is or are recorded between him on regular bases with people of Arabia?! am a bit confused, please kindly fill in this areas for me thanks!!

Just note, in Islam we don't repet 5 times there is no religion like Islam. Xians that I know would never say they were a "religion". They define religion as something man made or being under the law of death as they call Torah. They have such a difficult time understanding Judaism. They believe they have the relationship and we have the religion because we keep Torah. I hear it all the time - it's frustrating. All this despite the fact that the covenant was all about relationship which is reinforced over & over by the prophets. Their texts cause this confusion.

    I enjoyed this talk and gave it a thumbs up. It is worth watching whether or not one is Jewish.
    I will say, however, that in my experience, Jews who are active in their "religion" follow a lot of rules to one degree or another, but I have never witnessed what this woman describes, i.e. a loving relationship with the Jewish religion. Even the religion's rules are not strictly followed except by orthodox Jews. For example, I have know plenty of Jews who would not touch ham, but they will eat bacon and shrimp, both of which are equally prohibited by dietary laws. I questioned this, and one told me that "it is not an all or nothing proposition." Sorry,, but that just does not make sense to me. I do see it as an all or nothing proposition. Either you are abiding by the dietary laws or not. You cannot refuse to eat some prohibited foods but happily eat others. If you are eating shrimp and bacon, for example, then you are not following the rule. Refusing ham does not count. You cannot pick and choose. Analogously, if the speed limit is 30 miles an hour in your neighbourhood but you choose not to drive 30 on some streets or at some times of the day, then you are breaking the rule. It boggles my mind at how some people will bend over backwards to justify why their breaking of a rule is not "really" a breaking of the rule.
    Also, amongst the Jews I have known, there is a very, very deep prejudice against non-Jews, which Jews tend to not want to admit, but if you are amongst Jews, and if they think you are Jewish, they will speak disparagingly of non-Jews in front of you. I have experienced this MANY, MANY times. I think this is common in ALL groups, but Jews do not want to admit to non-Jews that this is the way they feel about non-Jews. There is a proscription against marrying a non-Jew. Even someone who "converts" to Judaism is not accepted as a "real Jew" by most Jews I have known. I cannot and will not accept that "God" made human beings and everything in this world but "God" decided that Jews are more special and more important than the rest of creation, but it is exactly this belief that keeps Jews separate from the rest of creation. They believe they are better and more important than the rest of creation. I do not believe this. It is very self-serving. IF there is a creator God, I see no reason why s/he should care more about one segment of his/her creation than another segment. I cannot wear this. It is not rational, and it goes against the very idea of God as creator/parent. Do parents love one child above all the rest? This is the same issue.
    I think if people, including Jews, Christians and others, are walking away from their religions it is because religions have caused more pain and suffering than they have done good in this world. That is my opinion for whatever it is worth.

    It's been popular to call Judaism "a relationship" and "not a religion." I have heard this often from Rabbi Manis Freedom. Relationship? I have that with my dog. This view appears more prevalent among CHABAD Chassidism.
    The purpose of doing this is a form of Jewish supremacy. This is because it attempts to place Judaism above everything else which are just "religions." But Judaism believes in Hashem and articles of faith. It has a moral system and a concept of the afterlife. It is much more a religion than Buddhism. Before I get the inevitable attack if Anti-semite, I am a Jew. And for anyone who calls me a "self-hating Jew," you will just be exposing your stupidity.

    I really enjoy your talks but, as always between different peoples, there are misunderstandings and misconceptions: to become muslim you do not at any point have to say anything about Islam being the only religion or anything like that. Not at all. There is only the testimony of faith ie There is no God but (only) God and Mohammad is His Messenger. That's it.

    Hello Rivka,
    I loved your presentation. I am not Jewish by birth. But I love the Jewish people. I am a Christian. And yes we are a people of love because God is love and we represent Him. However, we are not a religion of love. We are in relationship with God. We Christian's have a relationship not a religion. Because a religion is people working themselves to God with rules. Jesus did all the work on the Cross so that we could be in relationship with Him.

    Rivka, I have been (secretly-ish) watching your videos. By now, I'm sure you have guessed, that I am a Christian. But, guess what? I am 55 years old and have always been drawn toward Judaism. The way you divided the meanings of religion versus relationship was and is pure perfection! That is so beautiful and pure! And you're right!!
    I feel as if I'm always on the outside looking in, trying to make pieces of my religion (yes, I said it) fit together with what is in my heart. But, as of this writing, still not happening.
    There are traditions...but nothing truly traditional that has meaning.
    For example: We observe the Sabbath..kinda. Work, cleaning, cooking, etc seems to take precedence over our Sabbath. Our traditions seem to be, at most, 3 generations deep. Sadly, we have religion but no relationship.
    Thank you Rivka. I hope you don't mind if I continue to watch your videos..from the outside looking in. 💙

      As a convert myself, at age 51, (25 years ago) may I suggest that you call a rabbi near you and ask about classes?
      You can also go to a Jewish bookstore and buy a Siddur/Prayerbook.
      Or, order a Siddur online.
      There is a wealth of knowledge about Judaism in a Siddur.
      You can learn about Sabbath/Shabbos and start preparing beautiful meals for Friday night and Saturday.
      Also, a truth about Judaism that few Christians know..... What you call the Old Testament is the Torah of the Jews. Include also the Psalms and Proverbs.
      Everything that Jesus taught is in the Old Testament, Psalms and Proverbs.
      As you know, Jesus was a Jew, a learned Rabbi, and he came to bring the Jews who had accepted the Roman ways, back to Judaism and to God.
      Jesus did not come to create a new religion of Christianity.
      Peter and Paul started preaching to the Gentiles.
      Do not feel guilty about learning about Judaism. God is calling you to return to Him through your Jewish soul.
      In the 4 Gospels, you will read that Jesus had all of the Jewish steps and that he was in Jerusalem for every holiday. Jesus had his Bar Mitzvah and stayed behind to visit and learn with the Rabbis.
      It's ALL there, all about Jesus as a Jew.
      Embrace your relationship with God. It is your relationship that you are being called to honor.
      Be well and welcome to our family.
      😢

    Every body wants a relationship with God we all yearn for that...So if that the case why are we not all called Jews if we are all called God children and why is the Torah in Hebrew to be closer to God we should all have the knowledge to seek the path to know the all knowing God...

    The Jews need to accept the Biblical teachings of the *entire* Bible and need to come out from under the Law to see that *salvation is reserved for them who have placed their faith in Jesus alone and not in their flesh (what they can and can't do in relation to the Law and God).* It's all about Jesus, what He's done for us in relation to sin, and how He will save those who simply put their faith in Him. The Law should be used to show the lost that they are indeed sinners and therefor are in need of a Savior or else they will claim "we're not sinners!" and never come to Jesus to be saved. They'll never see their need of Him. To say that Christianity is a religion is true to a degree because in fact there are many denominations teaching many errors in relation to *the one biblical gospel truth.* This truth is this: We are sinners by birth. We deserve eternal separation from God due to sin. Jesus came into the world in flesh. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, buried, and risen back to life *for the remission of sins* (he atoned for our sins) and is now seated on the right hand of God. He came to save those who will put their trust in Him for their salvation. Faith is all about God's righteousness and not about what man can do. *Should we keep the Law? (ten commandments)* should we murder? should we believe in false gods? Should we covet now that we are saved through faith?..No.. *YES we should keep the Law BUT NOT TO BE SAVED* and *NOT TO EARN RIGHT STANDING BEFORE GOD* because *WE ARE NOT RIGHTEOUS.* We should DO WHAT IS RIGHT as His Spirit in us guides us into ALL TRUTH. Matter of fact, our righteousness *is as filthy rags!* Get it right people. Stop listening to such who will put you under the law without explaining the true purpose of the law as it relates to salvation in Jesus OR ELSE you will never live by true biblical faith.

    A man is not a complete person until he is married. Being with your wife is where God says he can bless you. “Male and female created he them, amd he blessed them”. God also said “It’s not good for a man to be alone.”

  • @williambeaumont1312
    @williambeaumont1312 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Marriage is sacred, it is eternal because God blessed it. That is where you want to be, together with your wife all the time because that’s where you can be blessed by G-d ... or Shem. .

  • @williambeaumont1312
    @williambeaumont1312 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The rules are negotiable. David ate the shew bread which was unlawful but G-d said it was okay under the circumstances.

  • @williambeaumont1312
    @williambeaumont1312 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Christianity is also a relationship amd not a religion because Jesus said it doesn’t matter how “religious” you are if I don’t know you, then you are nothing to me. So either we have a personal relationship with Jesus so we can go into the wedding or else we are escorted outside by the angels and cast into the outer darkness.

If you say that God doesn't care about the demonstrations like animal sacrifice, how do you know that keeping modesty, kosher, and even little things like offering a piece of your challah matter to him if you have a pure heart? Just wondering how you discern what are superfluous man-made attempts to be closer to God and which are the ones that matter. Thank you!

    In christanaty we do not see it as religions either but as a relationship with God. Just like in Hosea 6 God dose not want us to do things but have relationship with him. We see this in king David, as he is call a man after God's Hart. He pursues a relationship with God not religion, and in the bible we see this over and over again. The Jews keep walking away from God in the bible, because they see it as rule keeping not a relationship. It is a warning to everyone to seek a relationship with God not religions. We all walk away from God if we don't seek to know Him as a intimate friend.
