- The Sword is almost 46 cm (18 in) in length and double-edged. It was almost useless when i got it and i tried my best to make it useful and beautiful before i started work on this sword there was a completely destroyed guard on the handle, i made a new handle and gave it an Arabian look which perfectly suits on the sword.
Me and my elder brother we helped each other to make this video and i am deeply thanks to our every single subscriber who is supporting us to do something new and creative. I made this just for fun i am not promoting any kind weapons so guys just sit back relax and enjoy the video.
I love Brass and you guyz can see cast brass looks really enchanting in the handle.
Some of viewers just hate me to much because of using brass but its my skill so i want to work on the things i am good to do so guys watch the videos just for fun.
I showed the whole procedure for restoring this chopper in this video.
o. The liquid i used to remove RUST was Acid.
o. I used sandpapers of different GRITS for the shine of the steel.
o. Brass casting was done for the HANDLE to look more enchanting.
o. Dark colour wood was used to make the handle.
o. For Hardening the blade i used my own handmade METAL MELTING FURNACE.
o. I used clear paint to shine the wooden handle and Brass was shined by special brass polish.

Bladesmiths indeed are cringing. Ugh I hope no poor soul ever tried hitting something with that, I've had blades snap and rebound back at me from mistakes in my youth... This is a catastrophic failure waiting to happen.

Parker W the tang is the bit of metal running down from the blade into the hilt.
The normal procedure to fit a hilt and guard for a sword is you modify the guard and hilt until the tang fits and sticks on its own friction and is held on by the pommel.
This guy edited the tang to fit the guard and hilt, weakening the tang. That hole he drilled means that it cannot be used at all and is purely an ornamental sword. If used, the tang will snap and the sword will fly free of the hilt.
By the time I saw this "Prince of persia" immediately comes to my mind 😅

@@giuliaciulia89 Sure, but that's not even why they're not used. It's that firearms are MUCH better weapons. They have huge reach, they do lots of damage, they're useful in almost every situation, etc. etc. We have rifles that put holes in tanks. Beat that with a sword.

Get a random orbital sander,sandpaper,a drill,a wire brush,a Rubbermaid tub and some vinegar and you can get started today! Honestly you don’t even need the sander or the drill just takes longer.

Yes, corrosion looks like shit. Occasionally a nice patina is justified but straight up heavy rust is unwanted, unhealthy and damaging to the metal unless removed.

After hardening you should normalize it again, but this time a more gentle type of normalizing. Cooking it @200*F in your oven then letting it cool would do great. The reason behind this is when you harden it the molecules get really rigid and as they are too stiff they are brittle. When you do the second normalizing cycle they will relax allowing them to be more flexible hence not chip or brake under pressure while still holding a great edge.
