well the thing is, even a not-so-thick iron breatplate can even stop a spring steel sword without issue, however, an iron sword (specially of that length) will not be very durable and the material is too soft to hold an amazing edge for long (could be work hardened but still quite subpar when dealing with any kind of plate).

Idk why but I love listening to the guards. Whenever I'm in a city I just walk up to one, press the interact button over and over, and just sit back and listen to them like I'm laying on my stomach, feet waving in the air, and my head in my hands.
They also have two lines if you have the spell breaker shield equipped, “ah now that’s a fine shield and not mere dwarven is it ?” “Your shield dwarven make am I right ? But yet it seems so much more”

@@HittokiriBattousai17 because when the war is over, the strings are cut, Skyrim is a long way from Summerset, when the war is over, the Imperial best option is to go home and get to the business of protecting its own land rather then wasting men and resources trying to control a land that most of the population doesn't want them there, Skyrim can then sort out it's own problems and make alliances with Hammerfell, so long as there's no further animosity to Cyrodiil, both can prepare for the second great war and the Thalmor have no power in Skyrim to hinder them as the empire was also their puppets, the was ment to drag on and Ulfric was a useful tool playing into their hands, but if the Stormcloaks win, they no longer have control over him, and Ulfric hates them for what they did to him in the first war.

If the Empire wins, it's bad for the Thalmor, bad for Skyrim and great for the Empire. It's bad for the Thalmosr in the sense that the Empire now has a larger pool of manpower. It's bad for Skyrim because the Nords will once again have to bleed for a land that's not their own. Said land would also barely lift a finger if the Thalmor were to attack Skyrim, even though that scenario would be very unlikely. It's good for the Empire because then they can hide in their little corner of Cyrodiil while the Nords are doing their dirty work. Just like in the 1st Great War.

Without the voice acting or even basic integrations like adding the new dragon plate and scale armor keywords so the guards can have their generic reaction, it just feels like being sold other people's half baked mods not a true official addition to the game
So the armor they practically drool over is ebony, dragon scale, and dragon plate. The ones they respect are iron, iron plate, wolf, and steel (shteel with the accent X3)

Most of the runes you find online and in games are basically just the runic system of the Elder Futhark for artistic purposes, basically the “ABCs” of Elder Futhark. There are real relics and manuscripts with vegvisir of different inscriptions that means different things, as you can reference from Huld’s manuscript or Galbrodok’s manuscript. There are also many images in google search of vegvisirs with a poem from Tolkien’s books “not all who wander are lost”.

I love how the guards in Imperial held holds, they straight up disowns you like you're a murderer or worse when you wear Stormcloak armor. The Stormcloak guards aren't holding back either. The funny thing is that when you're taking back the Pale hold for the Empire, you get to interact with the Stormcloak commander in Dawnstar, and if you equip the armor from the Stormcloak courier, he'll respond differently than if you say you took the armor your character usually wear. It's quite funny to hear him ramble about it, not knowing that you if you joined the Empire, is giving him forged documents that ruins it all for the Stormcloaks
