      The sun being up 24/7 is VASTLY worse. Nobody follows a schedule so you'll hear power tools at 3 am. Even with blackout curtains every time you sleep it feels more like a nap than it does 8 hours of rest. And your chedule will also go out of whack and you'll be trying to stay up until 2 am not realizing you got work in 5 hours!

    • @BrittanyCope
      @BrittanyCope ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Hi! I have some legit questions. 1) Does the darkness throw off your routine or sleeping schedule?
      2) Do you have to take a vitamin C supplement?
      And lastly, 3) Do night time mischief animals cause trouble all day during the 2 months of darkness?

    • @ASandreassen
      @ASandreassen ปีที่แล้ว +18

      @@BrittanyCope It can definitely throw off your sleep to a degree. But since the year consists of either dark all the time or light all the time, you can't really follow the daylight too much. So I just follow the clock.
      As for vitamins, sometimes I take a multivitamin and sometimes only vitamin D 😊

    I would need lots of a Vitamin D supplement. The Northern Lights though dancing at night must be a nice swap for the sun.

    I would love it! However, this has nothing to do with a tilt. The sun is on it's outer ring route, which is so far from the center of earth, or the inner ring route, that anything that's at the center or around the center, gets literally no light! Earth doesn't tilt or move, period!

    It would be extremely difficult for me in the dark. I have SAD... I CAN HARDLY HANDLE CONSECUTIVE CLOUDY DAYS... but i would love the cold!!

  • @w6wdh
    @w6wdh ปีที่แล้ว

    But do you have some beautiful nights lit by full moons?
    When the sun disappears for months in the arctic winter, full moons are at their brightest. They are high in the sky and stay up for many hours. This occurs because a full moon is opposite the sun, so if the earth’s axis is tilted away from the sun, it is tilted towards a full moon.

    I would love it if I was retired and didn't have to work. I live in Canada and we have shorter days in the winter (not like you). I hate waking up at 5am and having to work outside for 12 hrs this time of year. I absolutely love winter on my days off though.

    As someone who lives in Australia, I don’t think I would like being in darkness and cold for that long. I love the sunshine, it makes people happier and we need vitamin D 😄
    EDIT: but it does look pretty 💞
