This is a great gun. I am a novice shooter and it was a pure joy to shoot. It made me look like I knew how to shoot at what I was aiming at. Smooth. Flat trigger is a 1st for me and took a little getting used to but when I did ....wow! The slide did not lock back on last round 1st 6 mags (ammo? 124 ball Agulia) but after that, it was flawless and locked back every time. Before I knew it 600 rounds downrange! That's a lot for me but shows how great it was to shoot. KEEPER! I was able to figure out the sights easily which is great since I am farsighted.

Best gun I've ever owned! I went to the gun shop to get another Beretta and came home with this one! If you hold it, you'll buy it! Very, very accurate as well, didn't shoot low for me at all.
Got one of those brand new for $700 last Friday, was flawless in its first 250 rounds with 3 different cheap ammo brands, I'm a novice and I was able to shoot it well, is the best gun I have right now, my other one is a Glock 48.
Just handled one today, and I must say, I will be going back to buy it. Ergos feel better than my Glock 17 Gen 5 and S&W 2.0. Love the looks too. Thanks for the helpful info, and the "nudge"!
Picked up one of these about a year ago. Swapped out the grip module for a small x-series grip, so it would better fit my hand. Put a light on the rail and it's now my nightstand (in a safe, of course) gun. Shoots really, really well at the range and I loved the flat trigger so much, I bought a 365XL for carry. The sights do take some getting used to.
I picked up the compact, put a Wilson Combat grip on it and a Romeo 1Pro. Love the grip module, jury still out on the Romeo. Haven’t shot it yet or sighted it in.
The V1 only missed the mark by not being red-dot-ready. The V2 appears to come cut (as long as you’re OK with using a SIG or Leupold red dot)... but omits some of the slide mill work that made the first one feel special & different. The beauty of the 320 is the modularity, and the ability to put together whatever combo of barrel, slide, frame, sights, or safety suit your needs.
Purchased one of these last year. Finally got to shoot this weekend. Maybe I should say attempted to shoot. First three rounds stovepiped. Fourth round did not eject. Slide was locked up and could not be retracted no matter how hard I tried. Finally ended up using a nylon hammer to tap on barrel at the chamber, while simultaneously pushing back on the slide using my weight against the floor. This finally got the empty out. Tried hand cycling rounds through the gun. Lockup is extremely tight. Was using 115 grain, but will try something heavier to see if it’s a break in issue. As indicated in the review, it does seem to shoot low, but it could be unfamiliarity with vtac sights.
That sucks about the issues you had! I will say, I've had to break in all of my X Series guns to loosen them up a bit. After about 500 rounds in each, they are fantastic. Thankfully even though they were tight, I never had any failures. Hopefully, yours will work itself out soon.; Thank you for sharing and cheers!
I had a VTAC and just couldn't get used to the double-dot sights... I think this was a miss for Sig. It should have come with a set of X-Ray sights and it would have been awesome. Thanks for the video and cheers!
I bought the X Vtac about 4 months ago and love it. It is my home defense pistol and great for the range. It has little recoil, which is a nice surprise. So far I have opted not to have an optic, just because the Vtac sights are better than most iron sights, including the day and night functions. Very satisfied. If I opt for an optic, it uses Delta or Romeo and I am hearing mixed about both.
Just to be clear, it didnt come with a unique magazine for that model, its the new mag for all of their pistols. The X series is the first ones to get it. My dad ordered a new full size and it has the same magazine as the x series. So its a different generation of magazine. The m17 uses the new mag as well by request because they wanted the deeper cutout so you can strip magazines out easier if they dont drop drop free. I have held one of the M17's and I plan on shooting it at my old unit when I go there soon. I was invited by the new commander to small team range day to help the staff with qualification and they have had their pistols for almost a month now. Im a sig certified armorer on P-Series legacy and MCX but will be getting cert on M17 in a month or 2. If you want to contact me offline about any 320 issues Ill reach back to Sig if you need Armorer level support.

@@LuisCastro-nx6ye they are looking for a threaded barrel for it so far no luck, the vtac is really hard to get an extended barrel for but if they can't get a one in a week they will just give me back the slide how it is now finished paint and all.
really liking this ..its all tricked out ready to go... unlike my fullsize standard p320 using the Grayguns steel guide rod and spring which did make a huge difference, also the new version Apex flat faced trigger is on the way also great looking gun
Great review gun looks awesome. I am new to shooting and decided to make my first purchase the X carry. It’s Such an easy gun to shoot and I love everything about it. Vtac looks like a great option for my second gun haha.
Good video. The apex is a great upgrade. I recently just got to shoot one of these and review it. I’m not shooting it great the sights are a cool concept but their really playing tricks on my eyes when I try to hit the gas petal and shoot a little faster. When I slow down and concentrate I do a little better. Shooting low a lot as well. I’m gonna try it with the deltapoint pro next and see how I feel about it.

I got to check one of these out at my local shop when they were released. I want one plain and simple. The frame didn't seem as ergonomic for the primary hand as the regular frame but that might allow better control. You're not a good influence on my wallet KS!
I used to have a p320 a few years ago and I loved it, but I was stupid and sold it to buy a .38 snub and i hated it. so I sold the .38 to buy an AR. never shot an AR before and wasn't happy with shooting it either, a buddy said he'd buy the AR from me so I'll be going to buy another p320 along with my chl. I won't be getting rid of it this time
Really nice slide color, I love the look. It would be awesome to strip it down to the polymer frame and powder-coat that the same color, leaving the metal bits black for contrast similar to up top. I enjoyed the review thoroughly.
I have this gun it shooting is very smooth very easy recoil. The sights are great I really like it ,different from other semi autos. I was on the Talo sight and it shows this gun I didn't know Talo had anything to do with the gun do you k ow anything about that. Good video keep up the good work

If someone just got a new p09 tactical would you get one of these too? I scored a p 09 tactical last night and it's gotta be one of the best fullsize pistols I've ever touched. May have the slide milled and rmr cut. A local guy has a new v tac for $780 but the cz was a few hundred less and I love it.

DrCapri77 Eh, a Dremel did the trick for me. Only the original two that came with my P320 Full Size were a problem, the spares I bought for it were fine. So everybody’s happy and I have a bunch of these mags. Sweet!

How did I miss this video? Or maybe I didn’t but didn’t see myself ever buying one. Well, I didn’t buy THIS one but I did buy an X-Carry on Black Friday, which guaranteed lousy weather for most of the winter. I did get to take it out a few times (I live just up the road from the Springfield Benchrest Shooting Club so that’s where my shooting time takes place.) when we weren’t doing other things in the limited nice weather we’ve had (go see the Bass Pro Pyramid in Memphis and stay in a room there, if you can). Anyway, I had some trouble with mine, out of the box. I’m used to P320’s so when I shoot my finger returns to the reset position automatically. But the trigger didn’t, not every time. Sometimes it would stick and then slap outward a fraction of a second later, hitting my trigger finger pretty violently. Reset was weird, too, even when it didn’t stick. Fortunately, the LGS I bought it from has a Sig armorer on staff and he looked at it, kept it for a few days and polished up the trigger group so I’m hoping it’s fine now. The trigger sticking was happening less and less anyway so I’m pretty sure it was something that would have worked out in time. So, it hasn’t been to the range since it came back. But... If I might note, it feels to me like this frame and grip shape were modeled after the original CZ75 shape and feel, something I wish CZ had done with the P07 and P10. You mentioned the grip feeling, er, “girthy” but still I can reach the trigger with my mini-index finger. Comfortably. Easily. And that’s one of the things that make the P320 lineup so attractive to me (M&P, too). I wasn’t impressed with the recoil impulse but I may have had all my attention on the trigger problem. It is accurate, though. I braced the back of my hand against the sun shade support and hit the plate rack knockdowns with 2 out of 3 shots at a good 25 yards. Well, I was impressed. So, it feels good and all but I need to get back out with it, along with my latest AR build (I see your future, KSGG!). Maybe after Sunday’s awful weather things will ease up a little so more live fire shooting can take place. I think I’m wearing out my MantisX.
Jake, I too found odd issues with the trigger system on really any of the “post recall” P320s. I think because of the work they did, the system is not as crisp and responsive as the original. I found the reset on the X five to be very close to what you are describing. Thankfully, they do wear in over time and use, si I except your model to get much better. I agree that they are very accurate thankfully. Hopefully the new X compact will be dialed in and ready to go when it gets released. I’m really looking forward to that one. Grip looks slick like gen 2 Glock I like it a hell of a lot rougher all over it like gen 5 Glocks are. Sweet looking pistol too really caught my attention I want one lol but it’s like $800 so it’ll be a while if ever

Others have reported it shooting low as well and Sig has acknowledged the issue and will fix it. I had to crank the sights on my X5 all the way up. Nice video.
I understand that they re-milled the front sight portion of the slide to lower it a bit. Probably helps but I do still shoot a bit low. Probably more of a training issue than anything else. I agree on the X-Five and had to do the exact same thing. Thank you and cheers Scott!
James, keep working at it. I had a hell of a time getting the VTAC trigger out of mine as well. I think they drop in the trigger modules when the frames are still warm. It will come out eventually and once you get it out one time, it will be much easier to take out next time.
Really got to get that front sight up there. Shoots incredibly low with the vtac sights. No big deal once you figure out where it hits. It is AMAZINGLY ACCURATE.
Just bought one today and damn I’m shooting low.... only put 150 rounds through it, so I’ll get figuring it out. Would DEFINITELY take suggestions though....
I like everything about it except for the sights. I'd rather have a front sight that stands out more from the rear sight. Plus the 6 dots just seems unnecessary.
Arsenal 616 the VTAC system is a whole thing and its used to replicate the horizon when you look at it fast but allows precision when you need to concentrate on a small target. I have taken the class on using these sights and it works well but its not for me. But its not there to just add dots, there is more to it than that.
There are no external safety out of the box. You can add one with a little modification or you can send it in to Sig or a qualified armorer to do this if you don’t want to mess with it.

Do you recommend switching any parts out on the stock gun to upgrade it a little? I'm thinking of putting different sights, maybe a curved trigger, and possibly and AXG metal grip in place of the polymer version. Any thoughts?

Purchase for $729,M17 was $649. For $80 more I got an X frame, fiber optic + night sights, flat enhanced trigger, and better looks .
Mine is the R2 model WITHOUT the lightning cuts on the slide .

You can swap out the end plates for the newer ones and the mags will work in both grip modules

How does this gun shoot compare to the x5 legion and is the legion worth the extra money
The legion is alot heavier and recoil is very little

I like the xcarry bc it’s more often threaded and comes with the plate to add a red dot sight. Both are fantastic guns.
You do know that you can buy replacement magazine base pads for $4

How did I miss this video? Or maybe I didn’t but didn’t see myself ever buying one. Well, I didn’t buy THIS one but I did buy an X-Carry on Black Friday, which guaranteed lousy weather for most of the winter. I did get to take it out a few times (I live just up the road from the Springfield Benchrest Shooting Club so that’s where my shooting time takes place.) when we weren’t doing other things in the limited nice weather we’ve had (go see the Bass Pro Pyramid in Memphis and stay in a room there, if you can).
Anyway, I had some trouble with mine, out of the box. I’m used to P320’s so when I shoot my finger returns to the reset position automatically. But the trigger didn’t, not every time. Sometimes it would stick and then slap outward a fraction of a second later, hitting my trigger finger pretty violently. Reset was weird, too, even when it didn’t stick. Fortunately, the LGS I bought it from has a Sig armorer on staff and he looked at it, kept it for a few days and polished up the trigger group so I’m hoping it’s fine now. The trigger sticking was happening less and less anyway so I’m pretty sure it was something that would have worked out in time. So, it hasn’t been to the range since it came back. But...
If I might note, it feels to me like this frame and grip shape were modeled after the original CZ75 shape and feel, something I wish CZ had done with the P07 and P10. You mentioned the grip feeling, er, “girthy” but still I can reach the trigger with my mini-index finger. Comfortably. Easily. And that’s one of the things that make the P320 lineup so attractive to me (M&P, too).
I wasn’t impressed with the recoil impulse but I may have had all my attention on the trigger problem. It is accurate, though. I braced the back of my hand against the sun shade support and hit the plate rack knockdowns with 2 out of 3 shots at a good 25 yards. Well, I was impressed. So, it feels good and all but I need to get back out with it, along with my latest AR build (I see your future, KSGG!). Maybe after Sunday’s awful weather things will ease up a little so more live fire shooting can take place. I think I’m wearing out my MantisX.
Jake, I too found odd issues with the trigger system on really any of the “post recall” P320s. I think because of the work they did, the system is not as crisp and responsive as the original. I found the reset on the X five to be very close to what you are describing. Thankfully, they do wear in over time and use, si I except your model to get much better. I agree that they are very accurate thankfully. Hopefully the new X compact will be dialed in and ready to go when it gets released. I’m really looking forward to that one. Grip looks slick like gen 2 Glock I like it a hell of a lot rougher all over it like gen 5 Glocks are. Sweet looking pistol too really caught my attention I want one lol but it’s like $800 so it’ll be a while if ever

I hate the holes in the slides & idk why but, I feel like it could get caught on something or just makes it easy to get dirt on the inside.

I found the sights hard to align and very slow. I also could never get the trigger to be decent. Sold mine pretty quick!

Others have reported it shooting low as well and Sig has acknowledged the issue and will fix it. I had to crank the sights on my X5 all the way up. Nice video.
I understand that they re-milled the front sight portion of the slide to lower it a bit. Probably helps but I do still shoot a bit low. Probably more of a training issue than anything else. I agree on the X-Five and had to do the exact same thing. Thank you and cheers Scott!

Hmmm I bought the x carry version and i cant get the trigger group out.
James, keep working at it. I had a hell of a time getting the VTAC trigger out of mine as well. I think they drop in the trigger modules when the frames are still warm. It will come out eventually and once you get it out one time, it will be much easier to take out next time.
Yep, its a pita. I had to tap mine out with a dead blow hammer and plastic punch. I thought it was just mine because I have the X5

Really got to get that front sight up there. Shoots incredibly low with the vtac sights. No big deal once you figure out where it hits. It is AMAZINGLY ACCURATE.

Im just bummed because at SW he signed a contract where the fde version was his vtac edition. So im thinking this is the only fde xseries.
I like everything about it except for the sights. I'd rather have a front sight that stands out more from the rear sight. Plus the 6 dots just seems unnecessary.

Arsenal 616 the VTAC system is a whole thing and its used to replicate the horizon when you look at it fast but allows precision when you need to concentrate on a small target. I have taken the class on using these sights and it works well but its not for me. But its not there to just add dots, there is more to it than that.

There are no external safety out of the box. You can add one with a little modification or you can send it in to Sig or a qualified armorer to do this if you don’t want to mess with it.

Just got mine, the R2. Must say what a great gun, leaving my glock at home.
Do you recommend switching any parts out on the stock gun to upgrade it a little? I'm thinking of putting different sights, maybe a curved trigger, and possibly and AXG metal grip in place of the polymer version. Any thoughts?
