1:35:26 As far as I know when the pandemic hit most industries including the car industry thought sales were going to go down so they reduced their chip orders but a few months later they realized sales not only didn’t go down but even went up in most cases. They are currently trying to increase chip production and even make new production plans but like any other big, complicated industry it takes time to make changes especially when there are only a few companies with only a few plans in the whole world that can produce high-end chips. All things considered, the chip shortage will probably continue into 2022.
Not only that but people were buying lots of other electronic equipment that use the same chips during lockdown. There was then a fire in one of the big chip factories and then the boat that got stuck in the Suez Canal delayed chip shipments even further.
I'd love to see a new version of the i8 with more up to date tech. BMW certainly left themselves some room for improvement, but I still love the look of it. Kudos to them for at least taking on the challenge and trying to make a green sportscar for the future, even if it turned out to not really be that green.

I'm all for more paid journalistic content , but if it requires a dedicated app, and is mobile only, I won't even consider it . The content does sound intriguing, but being unavailable on computers, and with tablet sales declining, mobile apps facing major regulations anyways - it's gone way too far already in that app-craze segment - app based content just won't make it . Especially considering smart phones are simply too small to consume ambitious content, and still don't play nice with computers without extra hassle and paying a bundle for half assed emulators. If it's not web browser based, don't even bother .
@@jryalls I know ... If only there was a thing like a universal internet viewing interactive web interface tech solution . One that works on all devices , even older ones . They could call it a 'wowser' or 'bruiser' or something .
Personally, keen for more testing of my vaccines... Not against them, just as a sub 30y/o who has already had the virus, I don't know if it's worth the risk...
I couldnt even make it to ten minutes... matt we know you’re liberal, you dont have to have so much arrogance about being in an experiment. Not everyone wants to put themselves in that position especially once you do some research. Still gonna support the app but man... disappointing honestly.

German road quality at this point is a myth. Autobahn or newly surfaced street, fine. A lot of 'normal' roads are crumbling.

My thoughts too. I love the long form automotive writing but I don't want to squint at and hold my phone for 15 minutes straight while reading it
