Seymour made a smart move getting out ahead of the Hikoi before it got to its first reading. That meant the reading wasn't overshadowed by the Hikoi (even though it still was)The main goal (Now) of the Hikoi is to 1) Unite Maori behind a call to arms (so to speak) which is something we obviously do really well, and has obviously worked extremely well again, and 2) to dominate the "conversation narrative", which again, the Hikoi has done a very good job of, especially focusing on its Tangata Tiriti followers who are Non-Maori, speaking out against not only the Bill itself, but the attempt by the racist minority to try and paint Maori as moaners and whiners, haters and wreckers (as Helen Clark called us). Maori have so far shown themselves to be freedom fighters, united in a fight for our rights against a racist government regime willing and prepared to stomp all over the rights of its indigenous people.

@bruceboatwright7488 Idk about this situation but it often seems like people get tired of hearing minorities fight for their rights. The majority think minorities do it for special treatment. Some people do it for that, but the majority tend to miss the nuance of our circumstances. I say our since I'm disabled (Autistic). I live in Sweden and it's hard for many disabled people even here. We're often talked over or being dismissed. People just don't like to have their views challenged and it has gone so far that I think it's pathetic. I'm worried about how far we disabled people have to go since many people don't even want to mask to protect their loved ones here in Sweden. The economy is valued more here than lives. So I'm gonna look around and see how other people have protested or are protesting. The Swedish population is rather.. apathetic to our cause, so new approaches are probably needed. The protest in this video is empowering to me atleast. If the majority of each country don't want protests, they should actually listen to the minorities and reach a conclusion that isn't dismissive of their wishes.
