What you need to figure out is how to have your truck charge the trailer battery while your driving on the road so you don't have to worry about plugging your battery in.
On the trailer plugs there is a slot for auxiliary or 12v so that is power from truck for you to use for what ever purpose you need like charging them batteries like you stated while driving down the interstate.while parked you can still have truck power feeding batteries that's how it works until plug is disconnected
Because you don't want to be driver's side (facing traffic) when you pull off the road to adjust your air, or chains, or whatever. You want EVERYTHING you MIGHT have to work on, on your curbside.
Skeeter Saurus I pull equipment at work and I like my binders on the driver side because it’s easier to see in the mirror and more convenient since I’m normally by myself and can’t have a passenger to hop out to tighten it up. Plus most of the time you can find a parking lot to pull over in.
We do not have a manual crank for the hydraulic jacks but the system is very reliable! If the batteries die a set of jumper cables would egt this lifted off of your truck or put onto it in the meantime!
At one point. Sadly no more. Last few years I have had many problems with optima batteries in all my equipment. If you want to spend money, you can toss an odyssey in there, but those interstates are hard to beat for the price.
