What an inspiration! I am eager to try one. In addition to learning the techniques, it was most helpful to learn where to purchase some of the lovely, vibrant images that you use!!😍
Loved your intro viewing your beautiful garden and magnificent home! Really breathtaking. I had been wondering where you found some of your interesting images, I'll be looking for those type of picture books. Your art is so well done and I enjoyed learning how to do the reverse technique. Great instruction.
So glad to have found your channel! Thank you for sharing so many techniques. I've wanted to incorporate textiles forever, but didn't know how. So much to learn here!💖💖💖
Your work is fascinating. Now I am thinking about velvet possibilities. I would be grateful if you could share the bibliographic information of your favorite image books in whatever way is easiest. Links are awesome. It was hard to figure it out in the video. Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing this method! I have been experimenting with reverse-painting onto framed glass, and using a painted canvas board for the background. I love this way to decoupage as it seems less time consuming and not restricted to my painting abilities😅. Such amazing ideas and gorgeous results!
I really like the second one I feel if you were to have left it it would have been too much open space. These are so very lovely. Thank you for sharing.
I enjoyed watching this video especially since I'm right in to a 'collage time period' my self. I am away from home, my studio, the press, and care by my self for my Mother (102). But especially at this moment and time I NEED to create. It gives me ...well, a sense of controlling something in my life. It's 8 month that I am here with her, away from home and it gives me a plunge in to 'feel good moment' whilst doing collage. Thanks for an inspiring video ; )
Hi Beth, that would be my rug hooking, made by hand dyed recycled blankets cut into thin strips and pulled thru a hessian base with a crochet hook. It’s a stylised dandelion flower that took on its own life and ended up a bit like ‘War of the Worlds’…so I titled it WTF…so glad you like it and I’m keen to do more.
I wish you would list your products - I can't figure out what type of felt pen I should use for the image edges...though I am guessing permanent ink. Love your work - ALL OF IT!
Thank you, beautiful interesting work. I enjoyed the tutorial and the tips are useful. Lockdown helped me with my frame and glass collecting issue 😁 Really appreciate you sharing, I have still to experiment and find a style that suits my home, in the meantime watching and learning 🌸
WOW!! This is amazing. I love the surrealism of your images, especially the woman in the corset with the sheep's head. It reminds me of Terry Gilliam's work when he was in Monty Python, remember him? BTW, where did you get those wonderful books from? I'd like to buy some second hand books like yours. Thank you for this great video tutorial. Love from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia ❤️
Hi Joy...absoloutely love your work...just like to ask if I can use the pages straight from a book\magazine to decoupage,or would I have to print them onto paper first? Also, can I just use normal computer paper to decoupage?Thank you
Hi, glad you like the decoupage, for reverse decoupage you can’t you use book/ mag pages and when you get the images printed it needs to be Laser copies not inkjet ( which bleeds) cheers Joy
Yes, I don’t have a printer….I scan the book illustrations I want at my local copy shop and always use the Laser print method not inkjet as it bleeds…good luck and have fun, cheers Joy
Hi, I put out the final of three videos out… on concrete as an art medium, a few weeks ago and I am just waiting to edit a video on…decoupage with fabric, cheers Joy
@@joybellart4727 for us artists, it would be a disrespect and violation to take my art and use it as your own. Can you help me understand how you view this?
@theartzscientist8012 Think of it this way: it’s like visual hip hop-bits and pieces collected and gathered and put together in a different way by the artist. The artist is not claiming they created the bits and pieces, just the way they were put together.
OMG, this blew my mind away, now I will be spending all weekend. Watching your video's thank you Joy. love from over the pond in Oz.
I absolutely love the jungle behind the lamb. Perfect.

They're all beautiful but I was wondering if they are archival? Does the gold leaf tarnish? And is the material safe long term?
So far so good…no tarnishing since we’re made, cheers Joy

Can i ask why u wouldn’t put a sea colour for background on your lovely under the sea vase. Not that I don’t like what you’ve done though
Hi, the gold is rich and regal and had been my go to for years but I agree with you that a sea green/ blue would look better on that vase 😉
Do you have new videos?
