I went to an auction on Saturday...you and Barb would have loved it...lots of vintage...CHEAP! Just not many people there at all. I'm so excited about a Shawnee planter...I'm going to email you a picture!
I really enjoyed watching you two. And then I realized mine isn't quite as loud. To me, there very addicting, especially when you can get them for a few dollars or two. Now I need to start moving. Lots, lots, and even more lots of things. Now with my great piece of postal scale, I'm good to go. I really hope I'm at least half as good as Jeffrey, Barb, and Joc.
I hope Barb got some good stuff too. I used to go to auctions with my dad, he would always get the box lots and books, we had a full library in our house growing up. I was happy to see you and Barb wearing masks, I saw many not wearing them. Stay safe. Look forward to your haul video.
@ 9:20 Wonder how much that Mint Cond Roseville went for? Plus all the old cellophane Disney was. That would of been the box for me. Never pass up a Roseville in Mint Condition.
I used to go with my Dad to auctions before I was even in school. I could never tell when he was bidding. We would always go home with boxes of “farm junk” looked to me or a new calf for a cow at home who had too much milk for her new born or maybe lost her calf . One time my brother bought a mule for $20 and told my dad while he was bidding on other stuff! He was pretty mad at him but we had the mule for years and years! 🙂
Aww, love that you kept the mule. Our dad did that with a calf once. He intended to end up with a herd of 6 to reduce his property taxes, & was starting with that one. My sister & I told him he'd now have a calf as a pet, & not to get more unless he want more pets, so he stopped at the one. We kept him as a pet for life, he grew to over 6ft tall & over 3000lbs. He thought he was one of our horses bc thats what he grew up with.🤣
The box in the bedroom is a blanket box. I recently purchased one at Salvation Army that was handmade and had doors underneath for additional storage. It had the sweetest note from the husband to his wife about his making it for her in 1962. I want to thank you and Barb for mentioning me this past Friday night. Love you and your crew. 😊
You ended up with a lot of boxes. Yay. Can’t they number the boxes so you can remember which ones you wanted to bid on? I heard Barb say it would be hard to remember what you wanted. You could also take a quick picture on your cellphone of the box you were interested in.
Those Napco figurines are desirable, hope you make some nice money on them. That is what I love to collect, 1955 - 1965 Napco, Lefton, Holt Howard etc. Christmas figurines, which I consider the era with the most iconic Christmas decorations.

A friend took me to a farm auction when I was Visiting in Rushville, IL and it was the most fun! The Christmas and Halloween items went really high but I managed to get a few things! It’s a rush! 🤣🤣
Jeffrey, you really do have beautiful blue/green eyes! What a great auction, I am so envious that you have them where you live! Not so much like those in my northern NJ area! Enjoy! Liz

Been a long while since I've been to an auction. Saw some nice things to buy. Kinda sad. Must have been an older couple as I saw some 1930-40s kitchenware. Haven't seen a stove in the basement in alot of years. Women used to can in the basement so as not to heat up the house. Did you notice all the shelving in that room. By end of fall they would be filled with ball jars full of fruits and veggies. Surprised I didn't notice alot of canning jars in the boxes. I gave most of mine to a niece that cans. They're not cheap to buy new. Thanks Jeffrey!!❤
