  • Our return to the famous Herald Square Macy's in Mid Town Manhattan to see the recent repairs on the last wooden escalator in New York City. Built by Otis in the 1920s, this unique, art deco era, moving stairway is likely the last of its kind. Now on its 5th generationof shoppers, these steps have seen countless shoppers up and down the largest department store in the world and countless children to see Santa. This is a follow up on my previous video when a major section was out of commission. Kudos to Macy's for recognizing the significance of these stairs and taking the time and money to resore them!
