Will he always have to be fed that way? Will the cleft palate ever close up so he can eat & drink from a bowl? I hope & Pray it does so he can eat & drink on his own. Yes… unfortunately that type of thing is fairly common in cleftie pups. We treated him for it. Rocky is now over a year old. He had surgery to correct his palate and was fixed. Aside from having difficulties with potty training, he has a very happy normal life now. He has found an amazing home, while we loved him and enjoyed raising him, I felt his new home was perfect for him. My children and I get to visit him so it was a happy ending all the way around 🙂
I honestly don’t know how well that would work out? But I am not a vet so I can’t answer that. Rocky had surgery to have his palate corrected and he is now doing amazing. Leads a completely normal happy life 🙂
I’m currently raising a cleft pallet puppy . He’s just over 4 weeks and becoming very hard to tube feed . He doesn’t any to let me out the tube in anymore . What age did you start the wet kibble ?

It’s easier with the heating pad , to keep it warm. I feel like the tank holds the heat better.
