I miss Thailand and watching this makes me want to go back. The airport is amazing enough to visit!
this is a non-ER 773, witch are used for such "shorter Routes" maily in the Asian Market, since Transaero get some ex-SIA 773 (non ERs) they also fly on th very long Moscow-New York Route :)
btw: i just LOVE these non-ER 777-300s, and the RR Engine sound is just awesome!
ER does not means ETOPS, the 777-300ER is a modeltype with raked wingtips and a big additional fueltank - as of OFFICIAL Boeing dokuments the 777-300 earned the 180minute-ETOPS approval on May 04, 1998
the 777-300ER first flown in 2002 - you believe me now?
ETOPS stands for Extended Operations. It is simply a term used by the FAA to denote how far an aircraft can fly from an alternate landing airport. They can ratings of 180min, 350 mins etc. All wide body aircraft (Boeing and Airbus) in operation have some sort of ETOPS capability.
ER is just a generic term Boeing uses for aircraft with "Extended Range" over base models.
This is NOT a 777-300ER. More likely a 777-300 or 200. All 773ER have raked wing tips (not the 772ER and larger fan size.)
I know that but the creator of the video probably typed that so we would know it has rolls royce engines. But the ONLY engine option for the -300ER is the General Electric GE-90. This plane is NOT an ER model, and it has RR trent 800, not GE90.
One thing I'm sure it is Rolls Royce engines. It isn't GE90-115B, only engine optin for the B777-300ER due to different fan blade edges on the GE.
Good night, folks.! Hey, mr. bysmichael, good job, well done.! great video..!! In my opinion, that's just one of the better moments of the trip..the jet engines sounds..!! It always gets me high..!! Merci bien for sharing it with us.Thanks so much..!! Love it..!!
Thank you so much! I try my best to capture the best videos.
if anybody is thinking about going to thailand, fly with thai airways they are bloody brilliant, food is good and service is great, and they treat you like royalty even in economy. Thumbs up for to them i say :)
Awesome vid, dude. I love the 777's, a very comfortable aircraft to fly on. Listening to the jets starting up is music to my ears.
Awesome vid! Love those powerful engines.
Fantastic take off clip, great views of engine and wing and awesome take off roll sequence.
Iv been to BKK from HR TG 416 seven times, hopefully again in July.this Vid brings back memories, i can almost feel the heat when i get out of the airport early morning.
I'm going to Thailand for the first time ever in about 5 and half weeks time, I'm really excited - awesome video! :)
The safety vid makes the plane sound like one big yoga session before the flight,so calming yet informative, lol I can't wait to pass through that part of the world.
Very nice video, great sounds and Thai Arlines has a great livery :)
HS-TKG, HS-TKH, HS-TKJ, HS-TKS and HS-TKT are all B777-35R Extended range with GE Engine
Fantastic take off video, the best I have seen and I have seen many, well done and Thanks
Love the sound of those engines
nope, the pylon is to long and the engine itself has a few little details that give it away as a RR trent 800. Plus its not on a -300ER or -200LR
great video, great take off sound of the engines :-)
Yep
I finally got to fly on a 777 when I went to Manila. They are so comfortable, well kind of, economy is like a cattle car.
Nice video! ;) I love the roar of the Trents!
By the way, how were you able to shoot such a "steady" video without the vibrations (especially during taxi). And what camera did you use?
At 2:32, the female voice says, "for safety reasons, electronic devices may not be used on board." Yeah right. I'm glad you didn't follow that rule! Thanks for the awesome video.
Hahahaha! I'm glad I did.
Thank you for watching.
No offense but electronic devices are not dangerous anymore on flight... You can even use cellphones (or the smart ones :D) or anything else. Even if they are not in flight mode. Almost all aircraft which can be disturbed by those signals are not in use anymore. Most airlines just say that because 1: Its still a standard regulation (In europe not anymore) and 2: they just say its a precaution to avoid complications...
I know this video is 4 years old but on my 777 thai flight the stewardess said just turn it in flight mode.
Thanks! I'm going back to Kuala Lumpur tomorrow on flight TG417. I hope I'm able to get a window seat and hope also that they will change their aircraft from the B777 to Airbus A300, A330, or A340.
Beautiful video!!! Great job!!!!
From Dominican Republic
You gotta love that buzzsaw noise. I heard it on the A320 Neo too. Its kinda relaxing.
The sound is awesome! And the wing condensation is cool! Do you fly often or do you have flights coming up soon? Great video
No. It is for safety. Pilots are required to carry out this technique everytime to ensure the engines are responding correctly to throttle input and to make sure the instruments are reading what it should.
Excellent memories, Thailand is a beautiful country and its people, Bangkok wonderful creation. And definitely fly Thai Airways, a very fine and delicious experience. Good video.
A single 777 engine can take a 747 on cruise :D
And the size of the engine is as big as a B737 :D
Nice vid BTW
This is not the GE90
Oh cool! So happy! Hahaha. I sat behind the wing of the Boeing 777-300ER to Paris; it was so noise.
The 777-300ER uses the GE engines which is much larger than the one in the video. The 777-300RR uses the RR engines which is much smaller compared to the GE.
WOW! Amazing quality and sound!!!
Thank you for your planes videos!!
You're welcome! Thank you for watching!
Great video! Liked it a lot!
Thank you very much! Thanks for watching!
11:30 the best part starts
Anas Imran - Listening to this with my Beats headset is like listening to a symphony! SO AWESOME
You don't have to set and release parking brakes when you're cleared to take off. You have to increase throttle to about 40 N1 and then TO/GA button
muito bom seu video, otimo o som também. parabéns!! I mean: Great video!! :-)
Smooth take off and nice shooting from 32nd Row.
HS-TKA, HS-TKB, HS-TKC, HS-TKD, HS-TKE and HS-TKF are all B777-3D7 with RR Engine - Oldest B777 in Thai's fleet
777 Turbines are just so massive in their abilities...and yeah its traits are so sick and twisted. The thrust output of bypass fan jets have come along way since the introduction of the then "NEW" 747,L-1011, and DC10 some 40 years ago.
私はあなたがこれらのビデオを作る方法が大好き
NO, a 777 dont have to be an ER to get a ETOPS certification - and EVERY 777-300ER has raked Winglets
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. It's rare to find 777-300 (non ER) videos.
Guess you've found it. Thanks for watching!
Nice video.:)
Thank you very much!
Lemuel Taylor yes there is only a few airlines that have it less than 10 i think but thai is not retiering it any time soon
EXCELLENT VIDEO! NICE STEADY CAMERA WORK! :)
Very nice video, and the sound quality is very good as well. I'm guessing this was not taken via a phone camera as most of the other 777 videos were, correct?
nick.. they used trent 892s on the early 300s but never on 300ers they were always ge 90s. they also used the trent 892s on 777 200 but on these they classed them as extended range. british airways use 895s on most of there 200ers
Thanks. It's around 1h 45min - 2h 15min. Depending on which approach they will be using.
Have a safe flight and welcome to Malaysia. I'm flying back to Bangkok in November and Hanoi in December.
No, RR is not correct as Boing doesn't include engine type in its own model designation. It's an ER for Extended Range, no matter who made the engines.
Love the 777 & Royce Rolls engine sound :) music to the ears
@OmerMaz757 This is a 777-300 non-ER. The 777-300ERs only use the GE90-115B engines.
@LeetHackTutorials RR for Rolls Royce. Considering that this is a regular mid-short haul 777-300, GE (ER) series aircraft are not needed. 777-300PW would be a 777-300 powered by Pratt and Whitney engines :)
Nice vid, remembers me of my holiday in Thailand a few months ago. Sadly enough we were flying home when we took off again at Suvarnabhumi:( Great airline though.
No they are Trent 800's here, can't you tell by the sound?
Awww don't say that. Be happy of who you are cause you were born this way!
Air New Zealand sometimes even use 747-400's to fly Auckland to Brisbane (A 4-hour flight) just to get as many passengers as they can!
I love the sound. Thanks.
Thank you.
very nice video man very nice, good audio especially!
RR Trent 882. the RR Trents are on the B787 only
@bysmichael ETOPS is an acronym for extended operations as re-defined by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2007.This rule allows twin-engined airliners to fly long-distance routes that were previously off-limits to twin-engined aircraft. ETOPS operation has no direct correlation to water or distance over water. It refers to single-engine flight times between diversion airfields, regardless as to whether such fields are separated by water or land.^^
It's a 200 or 300, as it's fitted with Trent 800's. The ER's have GE Engines not quite sure which models though
Water Festival - Songkran is on 13th-15th April...it will be public holiday for Thais...
11:22 😍🤩🤧😪 that's awesome! 😭
Superb video, vg airline, g aircraft. B777 is fine for flights up to 6-7 hrs (eg BKK-DOH) but I find the A340 more restful on the longer hauls. I prefer to pay a little more for the greater security of the slightly thirstier quad when flying over the oceans & Poles. Excellent camerawork & sound recording which accurately reproduces the real-time experience by not editing out the 'duller' moments. One of the best aircraft videos on YT?
Nice video. Cool to see the terminal also. Subscribed
saya suka dengan vidio ini. I LIKE THIS VIDIO
Nice vid and steady camera holding!
Nice video its been a while since I last flew on TG
This is B777-300 powered by Rolls Royce [Trent 800] engines... [ER] means Extreme Range and 777-300ER version powered by General Electric [GE90] Engines.
love this take off.. its like Im flying as I watched..
Nice video! Very stable camerawork, were you using a stand while filming?
เครื่องบินลำนี้เป็นรุ่น B777-300
ทะเบียน HS-TKA นามพระราชทานว่า
"ศรีวรรณา"
love this vid :) what model camera are u using? it records the engines crisp clear and I'm interested in getting it (every single cam i've tried keeps getting crackling and other distortions when it comes to recording planes...)
Thanks! You should come during the Water Festival cause everyone will be splashing water. BTW it's really hot now. Have fun!
Its not shit. Well, compared with other airlines, their services are pretty awesome and on time.
super , you really had the patience .
cheers
Thank you!
wow..TG is using B773-ER to Kuala Lumpur from Bangkok? a very short distance for an aircraft capable to fly a very long distance..maybe because of a very high demand i guess.
Nice video. I'm on this very same flight in a couple of weeks.
Awesome sound !!! :) I subbed !
Im back in malaysia now. Maybe i will go to Thailand next year for a whole month, but im not sure which date. Maybe on the 20th or 21st.
I wish I could but i'm actually going to teach haha so it'll be no 'fun time' for me :P Hope you had/having a good flight! :)
Great video, very nice audio, thanks for share
Trent engines are RR but Lin Jl is right , if this is a 300-ER , it can only have GE90-115B .
...soooooo long taxiing and NO other plane :-(
GOOD QUALITY!
Then its probably because they can't find anything smaller available. THAI just picks whatever jet that has a free schedule (large jets wait to takeoff for longhaul at night after arriving in the morning) and in good condition to fly their 1-3 hour flights. Their choice for aircraft on 1-3 hour flights can therefore be quite random.
Love the telltale growl of theRolls Royce Engines. Are they Trents?
nice VDO mate keep up the good VDO!
Thank you very much!
;)
Thats the same aircraft i took from BKK-MEL...i remember that loud buzzing sound during take off...everyone in my row thought there was something seriously wrong with the the plane.
I love that psychodelic music !
Sounds really really good.
Ok you did a very good job i must say :)
These RR's 892 are soooo small for such a huge aircraft. And they have only 400kN max thrust and were unable to power 777-300ER with 350 tonn MTOW. That's why "old" 777-300 went down in history so quickly
mvovan That really didn't have anything to do with the discontinuation of the 777-300. Airlines wanted the extended range and the RR or PW wasn't designed or big enough to handle the extra weight. The wingspan was increased and the GE90 was introduced to handle it. Airlines just stopped ordering it when it was offered. The 892s were enough for the standard version. If they weren't, they it simply wouldn't have gotten off the ground ...
+mvovan They did demonstrate a more powerful version of the Trent 800, dubbed Trent 8104 and 8115 with 104,000 and 115,000 lbs of thrust respectively, but then GE offered Boeing development money for the 777 in exchange for exclusivity in powering the 300ER variant. Thus the Trent 8104 and 8115 project was scrapped. And yes, the Trent 8104 was the first ever turbofan to produce over 100,000 lbs of thrust, not the GE90-115B. Apparently Rolls Royce isn't an amateur like you, the Trent 892 has the required power output for the 777-300, and judging from the sound pitch, this takeoff video doesn't even use 85% of its power.
The most frequent aircrafts are B777-200, -300, A330-300 and rarely A340-600 and B747-400.
Nice catch!!
Thank you!
Nice rolling take off !
by the sound, sure that is a 777-300 not ER, with engines RR
Best Time in my Life, i love Bangkok an Thailand.
I hope they do too but the Boeing 777 looks good with the Thai livery. I hope they would buy the Boeing 777-300ER. Air India leased it for Thai and the leasing ends this years I think or next.
he meant RR as in ROLLS ROYCE and the model is the base 777-300 (no extended range)
