A GOVERNMENT check...and I had a hell of a time getting them to accept it. One half of my monthly income, times six. I was a Master Sergeant at the time. Check was just over $22k. They told me it was the biggest reenlistment check that they had ever seen, and thought it had been modified in some way.

Former employee of that bank here, I'm not sure what kind of account you were trying to sign up for but I've never heard of that. There are definitely valid complaints and issues with that bank. I can't stand how they're trying to remodel and restructure to make everything hipster, like making the branches look like you're walking into a bar.. and the building I worked in did operations and they remodeled the desks to be completely open where you just walk into a random desk and plug a computer in. No personal items allowed unless you carry them on you. Such a weird place.

I have worked so many cases where someone who just turned 18 is being investigated for fraudulently depositing something, like a check for $30 that they say was $300 when doing a mobile or ATM deposit. Then the cops are investigating them and pressing charges, completely ruins their life. Go to a smaller bank or a credit union if you're trying to pull a fast one. This bank will catch you.
